In today's video we start tuning a 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS with a Nitrous Fed LSX 454! This car is on a Gen 4 E38 ECM with a 4L80e on a T42 TCM.

Hey I got a question should I get one of my knock sensors fix it’s bank 2 is out and from your videos it would be best to get that fix before getting professional tune but could I get it tuned anyway or it would be dangerous and harmful for my motor it’s a 4.8 LS

Yes I would get that fixed. When your truck throws a knock sensor code, it defaults the the Low Octane ignition timing table and will cause a loss of power and fuel mileage. It isn’t harmful to the engine though so just fix it when you can. If it’s a Gen 3 truck, get genuine ACDelco sensors and the harness. Replace it all at once. If it’s Gen 4, just replace the faulty sensor with an ACDelco part. RockAuto is usually the cheapest place.
