batman is the embodiment of the cartoon wisdom of the seventies and eighties. "information is ammunition. knowledge is power. knowing is half the battle" this is batman at his finest. the ultimate tactician. Think of all the ways i am weak and find ways to make those things strong while still seeming weak. he's the absolute tactician and planner. sun tzu would be proud.

This brings me back to an 80s storyline when an upper-level warrior of planet Apocalypse was left behind in Gotham and survived on a diet of humans. Batman investigated the disappearances of the people and came across the Apocalypse para-demon. The para-demon was almost 9 feet tall and was DESTROYING Batman until Batman broke his no-gun rule and used the para-demon's sidearm to blow a hole through it. Now we got Batman going to a galaxy far far away having his own Planet Hulk storyline? This is too much!

Nah, Bruce needs a woman that is soft and tender. Someone who's emotionally strong, not physically strong. That's the thing that Bruce needs. Underneath all that trauma and strength and bravado and battle, he needs a woman that can bring out his heart and be the only one that can make him feel comfortable enough to actually cry, and be the only one that lets her see him do it. Ione would be a perfect girlfriend for Batman, but not for Bruce Wayne.

I always wondered how other alien/alien species besides well-known Superman, Darkseid, Lobo would react to Batman abilities, moral compass and origin. Would they be condensing and disparaging towards Bruce? See him as a harmless nobody just because he has no powers and isn't originating from an OP species like Kryptonians, Czarnians, Martian, Tamaraneans or new gods? On Bruce's side, how would he react? Sure, like always he would study his enemies, resort to his gadgets and whatever there is in his reach and come up with a plan. But I'm talking about emotional reactions. Would he rather act cool and calculated or would he become angry because they don't treat him seriously?
Three dozen stormers; meaning 36 alien stormers took Batman down like Ion had stated. Speaking of; Ion also had stated just to one up Batman that she was taken down by four dozen stormers; meaning 48 alien stormers.
Both are incredible good performances. I wonder how current Batman would do against them. ( the one fighting Failsafe I mean )

This story feels like it was written as a "Fuck you" to the worse thing to ever happen to Batman, Zack Snyder. This feels like an anti-Zack Snyder story with how it puts Batman in extreme situations and he still refuses to kill or use guns. This is why I love Batman and hate everything Zack Snyder has done and said about his no-killing rule.
Ironically, this is also what i love about Zack Snyder and treat with contempt the utterly ludicrous plot armor from the hacks that call themselves comic book writers these days.

"plot armour" is a crutch used by people who don't get the point of the character. it is a nonsensical argument.
There is a reason why Batman written like this does well and has stood the test of time and Batman written the way Snyder made him killed an entire cinematic universe. So you could hate the so-called "plot armour" as much as you want, go read another book, you're clearly not a batman fan.
@@eingoluq i've been reading him for 40+ years. i know when he's being written as a compelling character, and i know when he's being used as a dancing clown. this is the latter. and B vs S didn't kill the universe. the crappy followup films did, combined with the IQ of woke hollywood dropping like a rock. the Snyder batman had an actual character arc and was *gasp* treated like an actual mortal man. crazy concept, right?
@@alexsolomon8127 snyder's batman had a shitty character arc. what development did you like? boo hoo, superman's fight with zod destroyed some buildings and killed people. Guns are ineffective against parademons and their enemies anyway. Literally only useful on humans which arent enemies in the first place. There was not point in having batman use guns except trying to be edgy and different when all it did was go against a core principle of the character.

It's hard to say how many Robins he had, but it's pretty damn sure the joker kileld one of them, and he worked completely solo ever since. By B vs. S, he was SERIOUSLY burning out. and then the Zod thing happene dand people he KNEW, were kille din fornt of him, and he could do nothing. Children were orphaned, and he could not console them...and the entities responsible were llike untouchable GODS. You really thingk that would push some buttons? All of Justice League is him serving PENANCE for the part he played in Supermans death. And all the while, he KNEW he was aging ut. but for the first time in a LONG time, he actually had HOPE for the future. So YES, he used guns. but you weebs never bothered to consider for a few secodns WHY, and what that meant. it was diffrent form the same crap DC has been regurgitating every universal reboot. It dgave the batman story a beginning, a middle, and an end..with a potential legacy. it was good storytelling.

This story is cool af imo, Batman developing a whole new skill set and being pushed to his limits, I don’t really read comics anymore but stories like this are worth picking up imo, I don’t need or want to see Batman in Gotham anymore been there done that a million times in comics, movies and shows , more new ideas the better

Their natural abilites are strength, durability, flight and (believe it or not) the ability to learn languages through skin-to-skin contact.
On the one hand, Batman must be thinking, "Whoa. I'm imprisoned by alien warlords. This sucks." But on the other hand, he's gotta be thinking, "Whoa. This is a totally cool wall."

Earlier in the story they showed that they have an interlac universal translator installed in all the guards and prisoner's brain. So Batman can now speak to any race out there.
