Alfred sleeping with the queen of England feels like some anecdote he would randomly bring up, and he'd say it in such a way that no one can tell if he's joking or not.
Alfred has amazing game, the only reason Bruce is even dating half the women he's been with is because Alfred taught him how to be a gentleman. Also I would laugh so hard if Alfred ever went to Themyscira and Hippolyta is just "oh no, it's my ex." And everyone just STOPS dead in their tracks like "I'm sorry, explain yourselves. NOW!"
When I heard this I was literally like; "He did what!?"
@@silence_dais sad thing is I’m now terrified that that actually will happen at some point in either the comics or an one off animated movie and I really want to see that scene.
@@silence_dais is it bad that I want to see this happen now cause the reactions alone would be worth it.
"Alfred, I can't help but notice a sudden increase in your bank account, directly from the royal family after Elizabeth's passing. Care to explain?"
"...I was young, master Bruce. Young, stupid and unaware of just _how_ grateful someone can be after you save their life."
Alfred embodies this quote. "Beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young."
Another good one for Alfred is "Beware the fury of a patient man"
Hell hath no fury like Alfred when pissed
@@thomasnolastname8734he's got both, so that means he's double dangerous.
Probably means they were stationed behind everyone else
Dude was in the SAS in the 40s
Damn, Alfred really took Cap's words to heart.
"IF you get hurt, hurt them back. If you get killed...walk it off"
That joke doesn’t work as well as you think, Arkham Origins was released in 2013, before Avenger: Age of Ultron.
Too bad Quicksilver was a terrible listener.
@@mr.mcnerdo "You didn't see that coming?"
@@marckempe2143than technically, Alfred inspired Cap to say that line.
@@marckempe2143Ohh booohooo who cares.
I really love how most of the bat family are hard on no killing no guns and holding trye to their code
Meanwhile Alfred literally says he subscribes to no such niceties and will happily send you to meet god with his trusty 12 gauge. And nobody in the bat family ever confronts him about it cause Alfred can he goddamn terrifying.
After what happened to Bruce, Alfred said "never again".
"...Guns."
"Yes, sir."
"In my house?"
"You'll never find them all."
In some writer's interpretation, Batman's policy to "not kill" is because he knew he walk in slippery slope, he afraid if he take a life once, he will fallen. Alfred in other hand, already pass that sentiment (ex-SAS) But Alfred still respect Bat's commitment, and Batman wont forbid Alfred from using firearms.
There are mutual understanding between them
i mean, if anyone tried, alfred could easily put them in their place
I read a story where after Jason, Dick, Damian, and Tim get kidnapped by The Joker, Bruce actually decides the Joker has to die…..only for Alfred to just do the deed himself lmao. I imagine he’s been wanting to do that ever since Joker killed Jason.
“Perhaps you relied on my master’s vow against lethal force. Let me assure I subscribe to no such niceties”-Alfred Pennyworth
As he loads his shotgun
I loved the scene in Justice League where he’s sweeping the glass beside all the fallen Hawk Men and he says “I always tell Bruce not to leave trash lying about.” SO COLD

I always liked how in various Batman media the different writing teams have acknowledged how much the Bat family cares about Alfred which often sets up emotional dramatic moments. Like in Arkham Origins and The Batman, Bruce races home in the speed of light when Alfred is in danger, in the Injustice 2 comics Mr Zsasz murders Alfred which causes Damien to murder him back and to revive Alfred in the Lazarus Pit, and in Arkham Knight when Jason reveals himself to Barbara one of the first things he says is ask how Alfred is doing
Not to mention how in The Batman Bruce calls alfred in a state of absolute despair when le learns what the Riddler's plans are
Wow. Everyone in the bat family respects Alfred. Even the problem children (Jason Todd, & Damian Wayne)
I really want to read an elseworlds comic/see an episode where (in a more happy world than normal) Bruce's parents are killed by drunk driver's instead. Alfred becomes batman to make young master Bruce stop crying and fights mundane crime like drunk drivers/bullies/mean teachers/The scary part of town with all the old spooky buildings/etc.
In the silver age he was a bird superhero
In the past.
@@nehemiahpouncey3607 suddenly that one off line in Lego Batman makes sense. Note Alfred said in that movie "I miss the 60s" as he dressed up Batman to join the fight.
Credit goes to alfred because he was the one who made bruce stronger, fearless. He also took care of him very well.
I agree
He raised him after his parents deaths. He’s practically in my mind not just a butler but also a father figure.
Even if sometimes Bruce sucks really damn hard at showing it.
@@starrsmith3810 Even if Bruce's parents didn't die, he'd still have raised Bruce
I don't feel this is complete without this one from the 1966 Batman TV series:
"Alfred, be careful! The Joker's an arch-criminal!"
"I know Madam, but a very poor fencer."
Damn, that’s cold
We all know nobody can mess with a military trained old man protecting his son (same as Iroh from Avatar The Last Airbender)

They would be a force to be reckoned with, truly.
But didn’t Iroh’s son get killed, I’m pretty it also implied that Ozai put a hit on him.
Wasn’t his “failure to protect his son” his motivation for rebelling against Ozai and deciding to Protect Zuko from sharing his son’s fate or following the path as Ozai and their father Sozen.
@@cwa728he does see zuko like he is his second son.

Alfred is the definition of "Call the Ambulance But not for me!"
In the show Gotham, Harvey Bullock accidentally told to Alfred that Katherine Monroe, member of the Court of Owls is in the GCPD. Alfred immediately went down and Harvey Bullock tried to stop him but he failed. He stabbed Katherine's hand on to the table saying that he is not a cop but a butler and to tell him where Bruce Wayne is. That entire scene made Alfred look more of a badass than he already was.
Gotham's Alfred was such a fun version of the character. I think my favorite moment with him has to be when, after hearing Bruce got into a fight at school with the kid who would go on to become Hush, Alfred immediately teaches Bruce how a throw a proper punch, then drives him to Hush's house so that Bruce can beat him up.
I was really hoping that scene would be on the list. 👍

Alfred punching superman like that looks like it hurts, but in my opinion, nothing hurts more than hearing Alfred say he's disappointed in you. That's a deep wound that will never heal.
Here's another. In the animated film, Batman vs Dracula, Alfred shot the King of Vampires with a crossbow. And after Dracula punched Alfred so hard it sent him flying into the walls of the Batcave, he got up with only a sore shoulder and proceeded to sweep Dracula's sun-charred skull into a dustbin.
That's metal as shit, wtf.
alfreds just built diffrent
Can you imagine just how much of a badass you have to be to know you could send Batman himself to bed without supper. And that Batman would actually listen to you.
the fact that hearing Alfred say he is disappointed in him DIDNT get clark to back down is proof that superman has fully lost his mind there.
I like that scene in Batman: The Animated Series where Alfred literally draws Bruce a bath.

Batman: "I don't use guns...but my butler does"
I mean, what are they gonna do, stop him?
We all know that is not gonna work
Cause alfred is that moral compass for them. If alfred did it then I had to be done.
I think it’s more a point that Alfred isn’t a superhero, so while he supports Bruce and whomever he brings in, he isn’t beholden to the same standards. Usually it’s merely self defence for him. Which is good, because as much as Batman has been flaunderised, there’s at least one person in his life who has seniority over Bruce’s antics.
That and Batman has argued with him about it before, but Alfred is usually the man who can get through to him and can tell him off.
Edit 20/07: though there is certain portrayals that Alfred hides the guns throughout the mansion, rather the open carrying. Personally, It makes no sense for Bruce to hold Alfred in the same regard, given he isn’t a hero, never volunteered for Bruce’s war. He just looks after his well-being and occasionally brings him home,
Like Batfleck said in Justice League " This is Alfred, I work for him "
Don't forget that in BVS, Bruce made Alfred a cup of coffee.
"Badass Alfred" -- Aquaman
Alfred’s outright support and care for bruce is definitely his most badass act.
Especially considering he really doesn’t need to do any of this for bruce in a way when you think of it. but thats why he’s probably one of my favourite characters in DC, he genuinely cares and genuinely supports bruce.
Nice pfp
@@comradecat7235 thnx
Alfred doesn't even seem to be fazed by the Calculator's and Mad Hatter's deaths, he was like "Huh, I still have it."
"Huh, guess it must be Wednesday"

I’d love to see bat family hanging casually in mansion with Alfred standing, ready to serve, and having good time playing “never have I ever” with glasses of wine. Than someone, in annoyance of running out of good questions, brings up “did a queen of England”, and Alfred casually comes up to table, pours himself some wine and drinks it, and everyone’s staring at him in silence as he’s casually walks back to his standing spot.
Now that's a cringe idea.
@@chris30555Funny idea.

An honorable mention is in the recently released chapter of DCeased 3 where the sight of his last remaining family, Damien, getting turned into a zombie leads to Alfred making a pact with the spirit of vengeance himself, The Spectre, becoming the new right hand of DC's God all in order to save his grandson.
This sounds absurd, but it's also completely in character lol
You mean he wasn’t already?
5:07 not just a regular shotgun, that's a f-ing blunderbass. Alfred is a classy mfer!
Blunderbuss*
Alfred’s the first character I’ve heard of killing two villains by accident with one blow.
Alfred beating up Superman in injustice is very cool, one of the coolest things he’s ever done, but what’s way cooler, is what happens right after. He’s just beaten the piss out of Superman, leaving him a broken and bloody mess on the floor, he picks up Batman and starts walking to the teleporter with Bruce in his arms. Bruce objects, saying they can’t leave the cave, Alfred looks over his shoulder at the wheezing and gasping Superman, and tells Bruce that there is nothing here worth saving. So brutal.
I wanna shout out a moment in 60's Batman where Alfred sword duels the Joker then incapacitates him by keeping him stranded on the Batcave's poles when he tries to escape.
And not only that but criticizes the Jokers poor swordsmanship and manners, and the pole exit leads to Alfred trolling him with the Batman's approval.
Alfred has always been the more dangerous of the two, he just lets Bruce gets some experience under his belt because he wont be there to protect him forever.
Remember the alfred archery scene?
He is the only one who Batman allows to own and keep firearms in the mansion. While much of this comes from his background, part of the reason for his proclivity for guns is pure practicality. Although Alfred is surprisingly fit, he's not as young as he used to be, nor does he have a special suit or utility belt. Alfred is the only person in the bat family that Bruce doesn’t frown upon having a gun. Added to that adding to Alfred being a badass. He used to be in the SAS also. Dude is awesome
He's also made it clear to Bruce that he has several more guns hidden in other places for emergencies that Bruce wouldn't be able to find. Atleast from what I've seen in other comment sections on other videos related to this
@@scribblerstudios9895 It's more thar Alfred keeps hiding new ones whenever Bruce finds one
@@thyrussendria8198 I accept that now as part of the plan Alfred has, along with still having a few in spots even Bruce wouldn’t think of. After all, Alfred has served since Thomas Wayne, he undoubtedly knows the manner better then most
batman: i hate guns

Alfred: im using a gun

Alfred is the real hero of the Bat Family. Bruce might have brought everyone together, but Alfred is the backbone of the entire Batman enterprise. Without him, most versions of Batman would fall apart in seconds.
Gotham Alfred is something else 💀
He killed a goddamn Talon in this show...
Sure, he had a little help from teenage Bruce, teenage Selina Kyle, and Selina's mom to help distract him, but Alfred's the one who did most of the job and dealt the finishing blow.
And that Talon was pretty damn scary, not like the pushover we got in the show *Gotham Knight* (okay his costume was pretty cool, but the first Talon from *Gotham* felt like much more of a menace) and had already effortlessly wrecked Alfred in their previous encounter.
Speaking of Alfred and *Gotham Knight* , but the other one, the video game... I loved the scene when Alfred and Jacob Kane were chatting in the street and a thug tried to mug them at gunpoint...
_"You know what?... Nevermind..."_ /runs away
Sometimes a family has several people that keep a family together, Bruce may bring the family together but Alfred keeps the family together
In the TV show beware the Batman Alfred has been in couple of fights one of them is when he was looking for information about Slade Wilson and took down 3 soldiers and he fought Slade even though he lost he's still looked badass for fighting Deathstroke.
Alfred is such a badass butler even if he’s not a superhero
We've got to appreciate the fact that while batman, superman, wonder woman, mister terrific and many more died, in the DCeased Alfred survived the zombie apocalypse
Alfred is the type of guy to bring a normal knife to fight superman, and win.
Bro wouldn’t even need the knife.

The fact that he took a clip from someone playing as Alfred pennywoth kissing Selina is hilarious

The fact that Alfred can consistently make Batman back down and tell him what to do is the most badass thing about him.
Also Damien fresh out of LOS training when they first meet. Alfred makes sure everyone knows their place
The panel of Alfred kicking Superman in the face so hard his shoe explodes is _just_ the best.
Alfred Pennyworth is the best butler of all, both in fiction and reality.
One word. Sebastian
@@alexzheng7441One Word. Nope.
In the 1960's Adam West Batman show, he singlehandedly defeated the Joker in a swordfight (while using a fireplace poker instead of a sword) all while mocking his fencing skills and then trapped him on the Bat Pole by repeatedly lifting him up and dropping him over and over until he was terrified.
Alfred also has multiple guns scattered across the house hidden so well not even Bruce could find them all. He is also a army medic from ww2. He also has no code against killing.
It's always amazing the backstories Alfred gets, the majority being Ex British Armed Forces/Intelligence either being hired as or joining into the family tradition of Butler to the Waynes
Wintegreen -- Deathstroke's butler -- same thing...in fact he and Slade Wilson served in combat together before Slade became the Terminator.
My Sad has often talked about a high school English teacher he had back in Rural Iowa back in the fifties. He appeared to be a smallish British Gentleman that couldn’t hurt a flea if he tried. Well, one of the school’s football playing students didn’t like getting reprimanded by him and decided to jump the teacher…………well, after a few quick moves the jock was unconscious and being drug into the hall by this teacher. After that little flare up was over, he closed and locked the door then walked back to his desk brushing his hands together like he was dusting them off.
Turns out that if Alfred Pennyworth was a real live man, Alfred and this teacher probably would have done some work together in wartime Britain.
Pennyworth , Alfred pennyworth
I mean he is practically James bond in retirement
There’s a couple more I’d like to add. There’s the time a cannibal broke into the manor while Batman was away and Alfred shot him like 7 times. There’s also the time Booster Gold appeared in the Batcave and Alfred literally tried to blow his head off with a shotgun!
1:47 he did what
I think you should’ve mentioned the part where, in one of the comic book, Alfred actually sacrifices his life to save the entire fat family from Thomas Wayne, Batman, a.k.a. the flashpoint, Batman, and Bane
Fat family?
Fat family 💀
The scene in Gotham where the woman from
the Court of Owls is being questioned at the police station, and Alfred just walks in, tell her he isn’t a cop and stabs her in the hand.
Yep, I'm surprised he didn't show that one! "Yeah, but I'm not a cop am I? I'm a Butler!" *stabs her hand to the interrogation table*
Alfred fighting Tigress to a standstill was also badass, beating Copperhead, killing the first Talon in their rematch, giving Bruce his father's watch to use as a brass knuckles to beat up a young Tommy Elliott (future Hush)...

crashing into Bane with his car, and then standing up to him alongside a young Catwoman to give Lee Thompkins and Barbara Kean some time to flee with Barbara & Jim Gordon's baby were also memorable moments for him.
Sure, it ended perhaps the most brutal, one-sided beatdown from the entire show with Bane knocking Selina Kyle aside with one backhand, and then punching the crap out of Alfred, every impact felt through the noise and the blood flying out of his mouth/nose, and ended him with the show's version of the Bane back-breaker:
Bane holding Alfred up in the air like he's going to snap him in half on his knee, but instead brutally slams him into a huge metallic pole...
Alfred lying there looking dead, and Selina waking up, crawling toward him and crying for help despite her and Alfred never getting along in the show (on account on her being a no-good thief getting young master Bruce in all kinds of shenanigans; remember the Alfred pimp hand?)
He survived, but he had to walk with a cane for the rest of his life after that... we got many, many awesome live action Alfreds over the years, but the one from *Gotham* is still my favorite.
Sean Pertwee FTW
Not just stabs....
He f*cken pins her hand to the rable.
Alfred is just as important to batman, just as gotham, Thomas and Martha Wayne, and the whole batfamily
My favourite Alfred moment is when he becomes The Spectre in DCeased War Of The Undead Gods
Alfred was the best friend Bruce never knew he needed.
I think leaving Alfred’s past a mystery makes him more interesting as a character it feels like he’s just the right person to be Batman’s/Bruce Wayne’s butler
Thank you for sharing! And to think he meant to be an unimportant side character in the old comics. Alfred has cemented himself as an important member to Batman's family. Also, I want to see Batman vs Predator animated
0:39 Alfred: what pill?
Alfred is the best DC character, we honestly need more of him just trying to protect Bruce with that charm that apparently got him a night with the Queen, him just being there even for non-batfam. He was a rock to anyone that needed it, and a rock that smashed down bad guys.
We can all agree Alfred is just a legend
My favorite Alfred moment.. All of them
I remember in the teen titans go movie trailers they had a joke about Alfred getting a movie. But like. I’d totally watch that
Don't forget that Alfred beat the Joker himself and even neutralized him in one episode of the 60 decade tv series, that's some badass stuff.
Yup, defeated him in a duel, mocked his fencing skills, then trapped and terrorized him on the hidden Bat Pole. No matter the setting, one does not fuck with Alfred.
4:26 I thought Al shot a sex offender for a second there
And he’s back with a BANGER!!!!
My favourite moment will always be him shooting the batman who laughs “die demon die”
I fucking love Alfred. Such a badass ex-SAS operative.
"I know that the master has a disdain for firearms. I have no such qualms"
*blam*
You see Alfred content and you click, life is simple.
I always love the scene where alfred pulls out that shotty during the invasion of the cave by the Owls and he’s just going to town, killing all the Owls while batman is in the mech. Alfred is badass and you don’t want him as an enemy
5:55 like a true brit.
Honestly I want to see absolutely *ALL* of Alfred's most badass moments.
Especially love 6:34 Alfred's like stop being a simp and help/save people!!
I always think of that Panda Redd skit “pretty please don’t kick me so hard your shoes explode”😂
A Lotta people forget, in most iterations of the Batman universe, before Alfred was a butler/manager to the Wayne estate. He was a theater actor in England, he served many years in the British military doing special forces/espionage jobs, and somewhere in between there he learned boxing…. He worked for the Wayne’s cuz they were long time family friends and after “that part” of his life was over he needed something to do.
This man is unstoppable
4:54 I think we all didn't actually gave this phrase enought importance.
The last one is hilarious. "You are not getting any Talia until you've saved the city"
Alfred is a type of character to never get haters
7:25 we just gonna ignore that?
Nope, I saw that too 😂
Yes
Without Alfred, batman would surely loose it. He is his surrogate father after all. He's also been a grandfather figure to the rest of the batfamily
If I remember correctly, in his original origin he was a WW1 combat medic and now in his modern origin I believe he spent ten years part of the SAS. Either way, this puts into perspective that Alfred is a bonafide badass.
How about the time where Alfred just started blasting every talon in the Batman vs robin movie
You forgot the time alfred triple tapped a villian who broke into Wayne manor with only a gun that shot rubber bullets .
5:29-5:32 anyone who watched The Last Airbender can relate
Now I know where Batman gets his Rizz from.
Alfred literally started it all.

In booster gold #12 Alfred says: "perhaps you relied on my master's vow against using lethal force, let me assure you i subscribe to no such niceties" which is why if i were a DC character id damn well make sure to avoid pissing off Alfred
One of the better consistencies in DC: do not fuck with the Butler. Alfred keeps the guy who could incapacitate almost anyone else in check.
i love when ever alfred has a background in military even if its slightly less combat oriented like a field medic or secret intelligence member, you wouldn't raise batman without being a badass yourself.
Fighting Batman is not unlikely to get you injured.
But fighting Alfred is guaranteed to get you killed.
The most true thing
Only if lethal force is required. It would be terribly unprofessional to use excessive force, after all. Simply not the done thing, you know. And Alfred is far too classy for that.
Alfred does what he does and that he does is perfect. Both in badass and comedian. Plus the Lego Batman movie (literally every freaking scene!)
The amount of him being a parent in that movie was hilarious
Can we appreciate the diversity of media represented here? We have animated movies, we have live action movies, we have TV shows, we have comic books, and we have video games and Alfred Pennyworth kicks butt in all of them. Don't mess with Alfred.
