Super Sonic is already quite op, unbalanced. Hyper Sonic's difference besides the looks is just a dash attack with instakill capabilities. Of course he's not coming back.
The amount of enemies are worth noting too, they're better than the ones in Forces and don't just stand there taking hits. Having seen the trailer I tell myself since they showed us super Sonic it necessarily means that the final boss will be more difficult to beat in super Sonic mode so either we will have the return of hyper sonic (although takashi lieuka at bel well said hyper sonic won't be in the game unless he lied to us) or a new sonic transformation
Maybe Sonic will go.. EVEN FURTHER BEYOND. Grow longer quills, have no eyebrows, his face complexity could change a bit... I think I'm thinking of something else.
So… the emerald thing has something I think is cool. So the titan we see super sonic in is the first, and so we see that we colect the emeralds all together multiple times… BUT THE THING THAT HOLDS THE EMERALD IS ATTACHED! Not a part of the titan… the good contrast and it looks like the protein structure that holds virus DNA (I’m taking biology for high school so it’s on my mind), and it seems to be doing the same thing. The chaos emerald’s energy is being inserted into the titan, giving an old titan a much more powerful body, so that’s why we need super sonic. So since we don’t know how long this guy has had the chaos emerald, he might have reserves… super sonic will need to fight a being with the power of what ever SAGE has and chaos energy impude into that… remember that chaos energy powers up a being with near limitless energy with a single emerald. All of them have no end to their power, but you need something to put it into. If you have all of them, but nothing to use it on, their just floating rocks!!! Sonic can use them for speed and endurance, but he needs to fly to use his strongest punches. He powers up his speed and endurance, wich is alread really good, and he powers his strength to a higher, but not god-like, like the other atrabutes. We’ll see how the chaos emeralds expand in this game.

I kind of agree on your point with the animation to an extent . I don’t know anything about animation, but I do know this. Just because some people are hyped (Including me) about the animation doesn’t mean we don’t think it could be improved. But the fact the animators was able to make Sonic even look SHOCKED, and shorten his eyes, and even move his ears is a huge step up from what they did before. Besides you saying the animation could be better is your opinion. Not everyone’s going to think that way. Regardless good video. 💙

This idea of Super Sonic not being enough to stop, at first, the threat of the Starfall Islands reminds me a lot of a saga from the Sonic X anime, most especifically the Metarex Saga. Don't you think? For those unaware of what I'm talking about, the Metarex Saga starts off with a fight in space between Super Sonic and Dark Oak, and Sonic is having a lot of trouble defeating this enemy. To make sure the Emeralds don't fall into the wrong hands, Sonic decides to scatter the Emeralds throughout space, buying enough time to become stronger and destroy the menace, which he does after a long journey and transforming into Super Sonic again, along with Super Shadow. Frontiers might be going through a similar route, with enemies strong enough to withstand Super Sonic, at first, but after a long journey and tough battles, Super Sonic can become strong enough to defeat the true menace. As Sonic said in Forces, he gets stronger the longer the journey (which happened when he fought Infinite); and if you make a timeline of the multiple times Super Sonic has been used and the threat levels, you'll get a strange but increasing threat level that was stopped by Super Sonic: - at first Super Sonic was used to defeat Eggman's super heavy mechs (Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Advance Trilogy, Rush Duology) - then, he was capable of defeating creatures capable of destroying planets and moons (Perfect Chaos, Final Hazard, Perfect Dark Gaia, Devil Doom, etc.) - beings capable of altering reality (Sonic Mania and the powers of the Phantom Ruby) - gods capable of destroying timelines and universes (like Solaris and Time Eater)
I’m hoping to see either Hyper Sonic or Dark Sonic. We haven’t seen the Master Emeralds yet so it’ll be very unlikely to have Hyper Sonic but we did see how serious Sonic is throughout each trailers so we potentially could get Dark Sonic if he have too much rage
I believe that there will be a new super form at the end and that’s why we are seeing super sonic so early cause it’s not the final form we’ll that’s my theory
It's really odd that despite the amount of biomes we've gotten, 3 out of the 4 titans we've been shown so far have been on the grassy-probably-Kronos island. Hmm....
I agree Sega need to stop with the nostalgic pandering but this time I will give them the benefit of the doubt they are still a little scared to try something new and that's fair after unleashed and lost world weren't perceived well in peoples eyes but if this game succeeds they need to create new moments and memories for the new and old fans to look back on and remember instead of rehashing what was already done and the fans are a prime example as to why Sega doesn't have the excuse as to have run out of ideas.
I don't mind it, I just wish they'd stop using the same three levels. There's other levels Sonic Team could be re-imagining and I do hope there's some of those kind of levels in the game. At least these stages are just short challenge areas so they shouldn't (in theory) take up most of the game.
You mentioned "we can be excited and critical for something at the sametime" (and that we should always strive for better), but you didn't set the balance by mentioning how it's also not okay to critique every single thing left and right. It can't just be constant criticism either. Also, Super Sonic was in the beginning and end of Unleashed too :)
The better question is... how exactly does Super Sonic play in this game? Can't imagine them downgrading the combat by reducing his moveset to nothing but that signature headbutt.
To all Hyper Sonic believers - Sega can't already balance out how powerful Super Sonic is, so do you imagine them putting time and effort into a transformation that's been gone for decades, thrown away by Sega, that the only unique thing it had besides the looks is just dash attack, which 'Modern' Sonic already has, that can danage everything visible, gonna really make it out of sudden here? People crying about the transformation animation needs to be all smoke and mirrors; in DBZ/DBS- when the Saiyans go super, they don't always get over the top screentime for it. No one has considered this isn't the first instance he goes Super- it could be mid game progress. Get an inch and go a mile. Just be bloody patient 😂

I don't know what he's seeing but I've noticed it's more an issue with the in game animations rather than the CGI stuff. I hope they improve on those because some poses/animations still look stiff. But it's on fair I give an example of what I'm seeing, right? When Sonic gets thrown into the mountains in the recent trailer he's shown 'pressed' against the rock, except he isn't. His model is just sitting on top in a pose to suggest he's been slammed flat. There's no indent in the mountain or squash/stretch to the character model to highlight the impact. Sonic's knocked over two structures as he flew, he would've definitely hit that mountain hard. It doesn't ruin the game but once you notice these things it does break the immersion in the moment. Animation is s character in of itself and helps sell the suspension of disbelief when done well. So even something small but noticeable will have you say "Well that was weird." Sorry for the mini essay, I have a bad habit of writing a lot but I hope this helps you understand a bit better. Bad animation isn't a deal breaker but good animation only makes a game better!
I'd rather play Sonic Project 06 Sonic World DX or Sonic Smackdown than buy an official game made by SEGA. At least those games give me the option to pIay as any character l want.
