Your amazing dude the way you explain everything I been watching you for about 4 years now I have become the head technician in my company becouse of you so thank you for teaching me so much about air conditioning brother god bless you
I'm in a trade school learning HVAC. My instructor explained it as well as you do about super heat and subcooling. But I want to come to your channel and watch every video so I can learn more. Today I learned why the liquid receiver is so crucial to the efficiency of the system. Thank you!
Check these videos out- ua-cam.com/video/BllcbdD_tJQ/v-deo.html -- ua-cam.com/video/RofUUMl5x84/v-deo.html
This is the most simplified and the most professional explanation of the refrigeration system for beginners I have ever seen so far.
Great video my friend, keep it up like this!
Thanks Stilios!
Stilios agreed with this
Wish I could apprentice with you....I'd be a great HVAC/R tech! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos to suppliment our trade training at school.
Thanks a lot Maple the Talking Cat!
That was so good. I do work in air conditionning and refrigiration for 15 years. I really appreciate what you do. If ever you could go through the electrical part, that would be super
Ok thanks Luc!
this was a better video than the HVAC school youtube channel
I’m new to this tech and I gottta say this is very explanatory and helpful.
Very nice explanation for the refrigeration cycle and I like the arrows pointing out the details of the components as you're explaining them. Once again very nice work. 👍
Thanks a lot stuzman!
Great Explanation! Clear and straight to the point, hit main points well enough to understand.
Thanks a lot Leonard!
Great video and explanation. I was hoping you would have explained in greater detail how the pump down function works utilizing the liquid line solenoid valve. Thank you for your time and effort.
Energize solenoid/open.
Close high side svc valve.
Hold down contactor.
Watch guages. When low side very low, quickly close off low side svc port
Thanks for taking the time to put out these great videos. I'm immersing myself in HVAC content preparing to take the 608 test. And just generally want to learn continually as I make a transition into HVAC.
When masters talks I am really listening to
Hey my friend from Jersey! I appreciate this video. I do not do refrigeration work. My work is mostly comfort AC. However I was sent on a refrigeration call. It was over my head but I think that with your videos that I can attack it.
Thank you
Blaze from SoCal
Thanks Blaze! Glad to hear you enjoyed the video, thanks!
Craig, your timing and clarity make learning quick and easy. Total fan and patreon (along w/E-book) as soon as I get accepted at ARPEC - Miami.
I'm currently doing an Hvac course, this was a great cycle explanation, thanks ✊🏾
Thanks Fahmi Ahmed!
@@acservicetechchannel how long the HVAC training takes?
Simple yet helpful, awesome video!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video as always, straight to the point👍🏾👌🏾
I appreciate your videos I'm actually going to school for HVAC right now and your videos or better explain then some of my instructors I wish you had a picture video explaining heat pumps and how the reverse valve works I will greatly appreciate it and I guarantee you other students will as well...
I do, check out the "acservicetech refrigeration cycle playlist". You can see the reversing valve and accumulator in the picture, thanks Victor!
This is a cool video gonna show this to my brother trying to get into HVAC as well.
Thanks Brandon, glad to help!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. For me its very impormative.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the video. I’m currently in class at nights preparing to take my NYC Refrigeration Machine Operator test. Any videos on the refrigeration cycle, heat, pressure, charles law, tevs, types of compressors, service valves or anything else refrigeration definitely help.
Yes just look up "acservicetech service valves" or "acservicetech refrigeration cycle" "acservicetech scroll, rotary, reciprocating compressor" thanks!
Hey thanks a lot
For all you great videos
Some tech told that AC SHOULD NOT WORK ON UNDER 60 degrees
And why walking cooler can work on winter some time under 32 degrees
Please if you have a moment
Your explanations ,and illustrations are so easy to comprehend , you are a great teacher of the trade, I have a quick question what is the difference in the system design from your cooling AC in your home versus a walking cooler or a freezer ,what is the main difference that you're able to bring those temperature down to minus zero versus your home that you're only able to bring the temperature in the low sixties at best? , thank you... so much for teaching all of us the HVAC trade.
Compressor can also be best described as "Vapor Pump"
Thanks once again , you make things really clear
Thanks Anthony!
Thankyou Sir best videos even for dummies like me. Salute
Theese videos are great , helps me everyday in the field. thanks brother
Thanks Daneil!
Night class love this guy
Thanks Matt!
Hi Craig, very good videos, sorry, my English, I'm from Mexico, my question is: What is the DT of the walk in box evaporators in refrigeration, thanks for your attention
thank's ac service tech!!! for sharing Excellent Video...
Thanks jimbola77!
The liquid receiver is used to hold the refrigerant charge during pump-down cycle. I disagree that the refrigerant leaving the receiver is a sub-cooled liquid. The receiver contains both saturated liquid and vapor refrigerant. In order to get sub-cooled liquid to the TXV, the receiver needs to be by-passed. That's assuming conditions are favorably in the condenser.
great video
You are very good tech I am very impressed.
Thank you
Thank you very much Nurfet!
It all depends on what type of evaporator it is, if a center mount, AT the Evap..should be 4 to 5 degrees superheat,,At the compressor, scroll type 10 to 15, hermetic comp..20 to 35 per HEATCRAFT....
Thanks a lot bud for keeping it simple yet still providing thorough explanation on the system. Question : where would or where could smoke such as cigarette smoke seep into the HVAC system?
I ask because I can smell the cigarettes Smoke since the smokers have decided to move next to the outside system
Great video! I would like to see more commercial refrigeration and heating
Aaron thanks for letting me know what you would like to see!
Very good information bro
Excellent video. You should also follow up with a video on line set sizing for such a walk in. Why size is critical to keep velocity up for returning oil and so on. Also, you may want to explain a suction side accumulators on a walk in and it's importance.
Great great video!
Thanks for letting me know what you would like to see Melvin292!
hi, Thanks for your clear explanation of Refrigeration Cycle. I have one rather important question I would like to ask. Your Airflow where does the Air come from. Is it normally a Close Loop System where the Air is constantly re-circulated by the Evaporator Fan in the Fridge, or is Fresh Air Intake going on so that the Evaporator Fan is constantly pulling Fresh Air from the Outside and blowing it through the Evaporator Coils inside the Fridge. Also if it is not a close Loop System and the Fresh Air is constantly being sucked in from outside , is it vented out as it is recirculated inside and replaced by a fresh stream of air. Thanks
We waiting for refrigeration cycling and troubleshooting book..
great video. very thorough
God bless you all
Fyi. LLSV will most commonly found in evap before txv
Is the liquid receiver the same thing as an accumulator?
Good Explain This video a lots concepts clear my thanks a lots sir
Thanks Raja!
What type of refrigerant is used typically used in walk in freezers and refrigerators?
Outstanding video. I’ve been working as a frame to finish carpenter for the past 15 years. This summer, I’m working for my buddies HVAC company. He’s got tons of work and is a little short staffed. I started doing some basic research on the refrigeration cycle and immediately realized how little I actually knew about the process. This video helped a lot. Can you recommend any good books that can help further explain the process? Thanks again for the awesome video. I subscribed to your channel.
Hey Drew, I will be coming out with a book on refrigerant handling fairly soon if you send me your email, I will send an update when it is complete, thanks info@acservicetech.com
I always was wondering how gravity affects on the system? All coils made "s" shape but not the sinusoidal.
Great explanation
Thanks Dean Martin!
great videos
Thanks Dennis!
My friend said his walk in cooler only iced up in hot days? Any ideas what’s wrong with it? We are in Louisiana, hot days means the ambient temperature is over 90 F. Thank you so much
Good sir
@acservicetechchannel what brand of evaporator, condenser are you using?
Awesome video. Would there be an accumulator located before the suction side of the compressor to capture any stray refrigerant liquid?
Not usually but there certainly could be one though. This setup is only used with the txv also, thanks!
ac service tech excellent video,Could you make a video on the electric side ,How it turns on with a pressure switch is a contactor needed from the pressure switch to the compressor, Why do you pump down this system ect .
Bill, thanks for letting me know what you would like to see!
acservicetech can you make a video on the defrost mode and the timers?
Thanks for the lesson
Thanks ZE Kenzy!
In the condenser super heat and saturation and sub cooling exist while in the evaporator liquid/gas and saturation and vapor gas exist.
Yes that's correct as the initial superheated gas in the condensor is from the compressor, thanks
Do you have more videos or playlist for walk in coolers and freezers? If could you do some 🙏🏾
The only other ones are on compressor relays such as ptc and current starting, along with another video on the walk in cooler receiver, thanks
Excellent!
Thanks Air Mechanical!
Where abouts do you check the superheat and subcooling on a cooler? Also what are normal pressures and tempertures of a cooler using nu22.? I dont usually do cooler work but had to go to one call and the high side was about 225psi and low side was about 50 psi.
In the liquid line the state of refrigerant should be high pressure subcooled liquid.
Yes that is correct from after the sat state in the condenser to the txv, thanks!
Great video thank you.
Thanks Ron!
Excellent video as always! If you have time I have a quick question: why don't they just put a vaporizer on the inlet to the compressor (like you do on the vapor side of the gauge set) to ensure that only vapor gets to it. Thanks for the vids!
That would put too much friction on the system as it will continue to circulate through it and as always, the cost of manufacturing, thanks
Great graphic and explanation! So as home a/c units could have a piston or txv, do all walk-ins always have a txv? Thanks!
Yes they do because of the difference in the temp that the walk-in box is at. This can vary much more than a building ac unit.
Why don't air conditioning systems have a liquid receiver?
Thank You!!!!!!
Thank you Jurietto!
What makes a walk in box so much colder than your average house? It must be that its really well insulated?
And how does a freezer reach freezing temps? I'm sure it works on basically the same principal as AC but what makes a freezer different?
They are either designed as a packaged unit from the factory with cap tubing to make sure that they will always have at least some superheat or they have a receiver and a txv except the txv would try to maintain 6-8 degrees of superheat when down in temp. The air handler continues to run to melt any ice or may have electric resistance. They are also designed for this function and have a different refrigerant to meet this need. Refrigerants are designed to have different boiling points like r-22 at -40 is 0 psig. Keep going, learn all you can!
If you get called out to a walk in box like this and its blowing say 70 degrees. What would be the first thing you'd check? I happened to see one doing exactly that a while back at the local store and it was several days before they got it fixed.
The first things are to make sure both coils are clean and that there is good airflow. Next make sure the compressor is actually on and then read the pressures to start to examine whats next, thanks
What is the normal temp that you want to see in a walk in box? I'm thinking like 35 degrees maybe. Many times stores don't keep walk in boxes quite cold enough.
Amazing video thank you!
question sir when u pump down the system where does everything stay the condensor and the receiver?
In this type of system, most of it will end up in the receiver, thanks
thank you
||Yes it will end up in a RECEIVER!!🤙🏿
||Brother Graic Migliaccio I'm in the United kingdom & would like to by physical copy of your Book " Refrigerant Charging & Service Procedure for AC", also Quick Reference Cards (1) Superheat & Subcooling, PT chart, Refrigerant weights, troubleshooting Guide, Frozen Evaporator coil & troubleshooting with the problem.
-Please advise me on that (purchasing) don't want to do it through AMAZON they're changing alot for shipping.
Thanks
hey acervicetech, I'm 18 years old and been watching HVAC related videos. I think I want to become an HVAC technician but just simply don't know where to start. could you tell me kind of a starting point to began with? thanks
Check if there is a local county technical high school where you can go to school at night for an intro course as they are the best quality typically and are very reasonable in price. Check this video out as well- ua-cam.com/video/R7U_Kry1CBA/v-deo.html -- also here is a list of starting tools for a helper and you could try picking them up a little at a time yard sales flea market or tool sales - ua-cam.com/video/deD_OjTW-hk/v-deo.html
Can you do a video on Cooling towers!
please & thanks
Aaron, thanks for letting me know what you would like to see
nice video sir
Thanks Mukesh!
Have your company started training on the hydrocarbon refrigerants?
Some of the fishing boats here use ammonia along with refrigerant sensors
Can I replace a 55/5uF+/-5% 350/370V with 55+7.5MFD=/-5% 440/370VAC?
No, you cannot replace the fan motor part of the capacitor from a 7.5 to a 5 mfd as this will likely burn the motor out. You can however just use the compressor 55 mfd part and jump the common to another capacitor that is just 7.5 and use this for the fan though, thanks!
||I disagree my brother when you said you can not put a DISTRIBUTOR on a cooler box. Yes you can Connect DISTRIBUTOR. It depends with type of EVAPORATOR you have on your Box, for instance if you've Multi-pass EVAPORATOR coils you would use a DISTRIBUTOR & EXTERNAL TXV..
-Remember when a DISTRIBUTOR is fitted to the EVAPORATOR, an Externally Equalised T.E.V must be used.
Who knows where I can get my certificate online for course training? Or become certified?
Hey Matthew, where do you live?
where superheat of refrigerant start to happen?
Kurt
