I remember being sad as a kid but when I rewatched a couple years ago I was SOBBING during the Butterfree and Pikachu episodes, and surprisingly often tearing up in lots of other episodes. How did such a silly fun show smack me in the feels so often?!
I am 31, I stopped watching pokemon around the early 2000s. I do still have fond memories of watching the first few pokemon series. I actually only watched the first 3 movies that came out as well.. All the others came out by the time I outgrew pokemon. With that said, I now am a father of two little boys, my oldest will be turning 5, and I have found the original Pokémon series on Netflix, so we have been watching it as of late.. My son loves it so far, it's been awesome reliving the nostalgia. The 90s and early 2000s are unmatched. Also, for me, I would say the first few movies stuck with me the most from my experience growing up watching Pokémon... And Pokémon 2000 was my favorite. It just felt epic, the soundtrack, the story, the animation, etc.. And lugia ended up becoming my favorite Pokémon ever. I've seen glimpses of some of the newer movies, and the newer animated series.. and granted, they look crisper, and the animation is amazing, but they just feel flat.. Maybe it's because I can no longer relate to the world of Pokémon nor the newer characters anymore.. Like when did Brock and Misty leave? Lol.. I've also been showing my son DBZ. Which is my all-time favorite anime/cartoon from my childhood. I still watch me some DBZ/DBS/ and DragonBall from time to time when I get free time. It's just neat seeing him watch anime, it's different than what he's used to, but just like all of us growing up as kids, we all got drawn into some sort of anime series growing up. Anime for me, just brings a more epic experience and depth to stories that most westernized animated cartoon series can't.
this is such a great video! Me and my son took a day on the weekend to watch and it was so detailed! T hank you for makeing a good video on this subject we are subcribed now!
I was watching this while playing a game on mute, and was really enjoying it. then i logged off the game and realised this was actually 12h....I'm too much of a fan of pokemon, im too invested. I love it
Honestly I love how they didn't do a big legendary event in the final episodes as just the calm adventures with his friends felt more like a journey and also left it open incase they wana bring him into horizons

I didn’t even notice this video was 12 hours long until I saw this comment holy shit
Perfect for a long day working in the autpshop! Love the long video!
this is such a great video!
12 hours of my life I will never get back….to rewatch another 12 hours of this video. Great work on this! I needed a recap of the last 11 hours and this video was perfect. I can now leave my bed for the first time in two days
Ash deserves his story told in such a perfect way. Good on you mate.
i gotta say, i did not expect to watch a 12 hour video, nor did i expect to have my feelings touched so many times. fucking ninjas cutting onions.

Even though I haven't been keeping up with the anime when Ash's departure was announced I was sad Ash and Pikachu leaving felt like I'd lost old friends
Day 5 almost halfway done
Broo, pikachu being electric/ground type! Op!
as someone who never watched but plays it all the time.. I'm thrilled for this.
I dont know why but this made me remember that crystal onix episode. I loved that episode as a kid~
just commenting cause this is incredible and i appreciate you putting it all together so more ppl can relive the memories, rewatching the entire series over for the nostalgia has been done plenty and is great but not always doable and having these succinct, much more efficiently consumable narrated snippets is a luxury and big time saver! thank you
Finally done watching this video. It was so long, but 2x video speed helped me out.
Amazing video and effort. Took the whole week slowly enjoying and going back through Ash’s journey was a nice call back to the childhood a lot of us had.
another 12 hour video? LETS GOOOOOOO
I'm not gonna watch this all the way through right now. I liked and commented and clicked on it on my home page though to sway the algorithm a bit because THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME
The ending is really very nostalgic🥺
We’re watching this 12 hour video chunk by chunk be better than rewatching the whole series I just don’t have the time
It took me a week to finish this video, but man, it was amazing, congrats, you left me in tears.
I've been waiting for a video where you put them all in one
Can't wait to watch it all :D
You mean "watch 'em all"?

What would you recommend? Those 2 hour videos or this 12 hour one?? Bcz that 2 hour videos total up to 15 hours
I definitely appreciate this video from the bottom of my heart, as someone who loved Pokemon growing up but was never able to finish due to life happening, I watched every second of this video 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 bravo and thank you
Oh yea and buy my math I'm thinking ash is around 15-17 plus or mines 6 months
This has been one of my favorite videos ever GREAT CONTENT
This took me a week to watch all the way in its entirety. Truly appreciate this video. With the utmost sincerity thank you.
