- Skinny Puppy's "Last Rights" vinyl is so rare and expensive that you'll be looking for treasure and doing just about anything to find it! Join me on the adventure of getting the money for the album! Sounds incredible. The review of the album is at 9:16 for those who don't want to follow the journey. How has no one else on UA-cam covered this MASTERPIECE on wax?

the only guy cool enough to do skinny puppy videos
YES.
i have the 2009 vinyl remaster, and i can attest that it is THE best sounding version of the album. i noticed things in the production i never heard before on cd.
Ok I'm already jealous of your awesome room now you gotta show us your collection? 😂
Last Rights is the album that got me into Skinny Puppy🤘
cEvin Key just shared this on Facebook, if you weren't aware.
nice!
I really like how you talk to the SBG bobble head.
Who ever knew that after all these years of it not talking, what it would finally say would pertain to pirates and Goonies references? :)
Ah yes, I also had dinner with my copy after I bought it.
nice
Unfortunately, I feel your pain, it is such an epic album, a small fortune is not entirely out of the question, but it's no way for Puppy fans to be treated.
Old video, I know, but I really like to come back to this video from time to time. Probably one of my favorites on YT and I don't even listen to Skinny Puppy.
The Bolt Thrower retrospective is probably a close second.
That Dig It reference lmao
i would recommend a 4 cd compilation called "there is no time" (the ras dva quadruple compilation). it has like 54 songs on it from as many different "industrial" bands. it is a great mix and you can find it pretty cheap (like $20 u.s. or less). a great sampler of music imo.
This guy is the most underrated youtuber of all time. I swear to god he puts so much effort and good content into these vids. Pure entertainment.
Thank you, good sir!
What a fun video! Nicely done man!
This is how finding Too Dark Park was for me. I spent about 6 months watching Discogs and EBay. Then one week (amazingly) multiples showed up on Discogs. So I bought all 3 of them LOL!
At this point I have all of their albums and singles on vinyl (minus The Process and Handover for obvious reasons). The most expensive one for me was “Back and fourth series 2”. It was listed for $500 on eBay. Oh, and also The Greater Wrong of the right. I spent $400 on that one too.
Anyways, great video man. It’s cool to see other people appreciating Skinny Puppy records as much as I do.

Lucky you! It's only when I was almost 30 I began digging not only metal but Skinny Puppy as well.
Absolutely love how much time and effort you put into your videos, man! Keep it up, your one of my favourite UA-camrs easily!
i got lucky, and was smart for once, and got this double lp version when it came out. it is one of my prized records.
Just wish they'd put Process on vinyl, I'd even buy Greater Wrong if they'd repress it, but it's not an album I like enough to spend over $45 on like the rest of them.
i LOVE the process. sooo under appreciated. that really should get a vinyl edition. last album that goettel was on b4 he died too. puppy is the best canadian band, alongside voivod and rush. i love your videos man. keep up the great work. you are fun as fuck to watch. METAL!!!! (and anything that ROCKS!!!)
i'm from (celtic) frosty wisconsin btw, so i am a "not so distant" brother in METAL!!! lol
Loved The Goonies reference of a map conveniently located! And the update on going from colour to Black & White! Clever indeed. I daresay "Dig It" was tribute to a song title? ;) Oh dear! I shall have to remember the bank maneuver. I had definitely chuckled at the offering of more cash! Such adoration for this album. I just have to admire the zeal in what one would call being a true-materialist. Rather than be spoiled with the wonders of life, you embrace the splendour, however trivial, in what offerings the world bestows, especially with such a high price tag. Treasure of being. Even if I don't have this vinyl copy, it sure makes me want to give the album another listen again. Thanks!
I’m so proud of you that you love Skinny Puppy
Such a classic album. I was thirteen when this came out, back in 1992. Actually my first introduction to SP. Then I explored all the rest. Last Rights is the peak of their madness and their genius...
The only way to rob Wells Fargo is to own it... lol.
If I had any idea this album would have appreciated in value so much I never would've opened it. Got my copy for $29 at Rhino Records in Claremont! I already owned the promo version so I was hesitant to pick up a second copy, glad I did though! Cool vid, man!
I just bought this album yesterday. I can't wait for it
True story...
Even before getting into metal (very late bloomer here) Skinny Puppy was the first band I became obsessed with! Underappreciated band. \m/
Love the Dig It reference! Dig It, Kenny!
5:40 - Skinny Puppy reference ;)
i feel this on an emotional level. make a full record collection !!
At the end of the year! \m/
got the same record player, going nuts finding that album
Excelente video!!!
Too dark park and last rights are impossible to find! And they're so good!
Last Rights is and always will be their masterpiece. Too Dark Partk or Cleanse Fold And Manipulate don't even come close. Those are my other two favorite SP albums. Back And Forth, Remission, Bites, Mind and VivisevctVi are great also.
Kaylyn Zoe my personal ranking: TDP > LR > VIVI > M:TPI > other stuff, too many to rank but those are my favourites.
Rabies all the way ! Tin omen ,best song.
Cleanse, Fold And Manipulate is their masterpiece.
Ain't It Dead Yet? is my favorite!
1) Too Dark Park
2) VIVIsect VI
3) Last Rights
Just nabbed a copy of this! Had to watch this again while patiently waiting for it to arrive. :-)
Great video👍 really entertaining😆
Had to aquire Last Rights on LP by purchasing the PROMO VERSION (it has a white label), it has no cover, but they seem to be the cheaper on the wallet. Gonna print a cover onto gloss 12x12 sheets and stack it carefully behind Too Dark Park (which also cost a fortune). Go for the promos if all else fails. ps (unrelated)- the tracks included on the Censor and Testure eps are THE SHIT !!!! that's awesome you got a copy of Last Rights with deep grooves that spins faster :O)
Never bought a vinyl record before, learned something I didn't know about how it's pressed on 2. Interesting detail. Been collecting CDs since 1990 so I just never gave a vinyl records a chance really. I do like the bigger art. Last Rights is my top favorite also.
Well I know a lot of people are going to think im an idiot for saying this. You know though i grew up in that era and with CDs i dont entrirely hate the CD format. Of course I could not afford a vinyl version with my budget. What I DID happen to locate was a copy of Last Rights on CD that was in the uncommon, "LONGBOX" format. where the CD was packaged in a tall cardstock box with an expanded view of the cover art sans text. Record industry stopped making longboxes back in 1992 when Last Rights came out. Moreso the whole package was still sealed. And it also featured a special "quality control" sticker that the label put on after the very first runs were recalled for a defect in the CD that made it unplayable. So my CD copy was in very beautiful large packaging and was still unopened from late 1992. When i carefully took it out, the paper still had this aromatic fresh print aroma you used to get on new Magic the Gathering cards back in the day. Even after still being sealed up fro 30 years it still had that new paper scent. So it may not be this vinyl repress. It may be just a CD, but as far as cds go it is a real artifact and the most luxurious first press version you can get on CD.
Mmmmm the longbox. I’m sure it looks badass
@@KillbotAndGorGorAttack thank u. yes you can take a look on discogs to see it. I really love it and i think this is my favorite Skinny Puppy album, my newxt being the Puppy Gristle album and then "the Process" which was the first and only album of theirs that i bought when in highschool and also the first industrial album i ever heard.
Great record
WOAH!!! ENVY!!!!!!
Will you ever talk about "The Process"? I think it's a very underated album, but the sound of it is pretty sick. I listened to their work before The Process and liked it, but The Process got me into the band, and the genre entirety. While it's No Rabies or VIVIsectVI I really liked that album.
Its in my top three SP albums, wish they'd put it on vinyl. Even the artwork is awesome
What number is on your scream bloody gore bobble head? I have 385
624!
Charlie Tullis fun fact my is 000 why? Cuz I don't have it
@@deadaccount7953 F
You have accurately portrayed my desperation for last rites. You get a hella subscribe from me sir.
Was playing SP in my car when a female yelled out of her van screaming at me. YOU SKINNY PUPPY POSER! #LOL I bet I was listening to them before she was born.
Heard "Burial Service" by Final Conflict fuck yea
Final conflict at 4:28? Sick!
377 more vids left
Had this on cassette back in the day. Got it from a small town pawn shop for like $2.00
5:41
I see what you did there ;)
i got the cassette misprint of last rights and its so funny listening to, nettwerk barely functioned at all as a label
Every collector has that "white whale" they are after. The one thing that would be the rarest thing in their collection. As a video game collector, mine would have to be EarthBound. I've never seen it for less than $100.
I've seen it in person once, guy was selling it for $150. My gaming "white whale" was Castlevania Dracula X, but what stopped me from spending so much money on it was knowing that the PC Engine version was far superior!
I bought a promo edition of the album for $75 from a record fair, also bought Bites the same day 💯💯
💙
Best of theirs for me
What editor do you use? btw big fan since 2016
Imovie. Kinda shitty but gets the job done for what i do if it works that day. Lol
Lol! Back in the day you couldn't get $4 for this on vinyl.
I would give 'Ole Lefty for this album... I almost won it on Ebay for 78 bucks a few years ago... Last second I was over bid... Nice Vid ;)
Amoeba Records slip mat?
Should I make a skit like this of me getting the Master of Puppets remastered deluxe box set? I think that would be pretty cool!
Do it
I have the CD instead of vinyl, but it's signed by cEvin and Dwayne (RIP). Couldn't find Ogre, otherwise I'd get his signature on the disc as well. Maybe one day...
man gotta get the left hand shake single
Whenever it can be found! And Puppy Gristle!
Manne I bootlegged both a long time ago
Manne bought that off eBay for 40 dollars a week after the doomsday concert , got shipped from Germany so I’m guessing the seller probably bought as man as he could at the concert. Had Cevin and ogre sign in aswell a few years ago too.
I've had the cd for years, I'm good.
The Process is even more rare on vinyl since it's not.
you paid too much for a 2009 repressing .
did you get the rare 3" cd for Testure ?
Nope! I used to collect Nine Inch Nails halos, but the thing about CDs is you spend a fortune on rare ones and then they sit on the shelf for a long time. I listen to my records often so I try not to spend too much on CDs... Process never got a vinyl pressing as far as I know.
I always wanted a death metal label called Rectum Wrecker Records.
1:58 Whenever I want to pre-order something.
I love screams the bobble head😂
It is a fascinating and beautiful album. One of my favorites, but not very popular at the time but also not hated like "The Process."
FWIW... I still think "Rabies" is a good album, too. (cuz I think everyone hates that one, too;)
I'd say "The Process" is my third favorite, with Rabies right behind that. I don't get why people hate either album, given that Puppy sounds different every album. But to each their own, I don't like Handover but love Weapon.
Slacquer Rabies has a few great songs (Worlock, Tin Omen, Rodent, Choralone) but the album itself is not nearly as strong as others
I love The Process!
What do you think of Heilung? Anyone that's into the whole Viking movement I think will love them. Dark as F#ck!
you would think the 12" records from that album would be as collectible
but what is also really rare is a 7" single cause they never made one.
I remember hearing this album in Highschool trying to get into these guys. Immediately fell in love with them and easily my favorite Skinny Puppy album. Also one of my favorite bands at this point. Just a gorgeously dark and harsh album. One thing I always like hearing is the different effects that are used.
Did the bobble head come with the album?
They were made by Relapse when Scream Bloody Gore's reissue was released :)
Cool. Does it come with vinyl or cd?
Soulside Journey i dont think It does
what record player do you use man?
Numark TTX
Thanks so much for the reply! just found you tonight and i'm really loving the channel dude, and im not even a metalhead Also: Sick hair
mate, no idea that ws extremlely rare and expensive during the transitional phase from vinyl to cd ... just gave it to my mate and bought the cd ... hope the cd is as expensive ...
I love your videos so much. You're really entertaining to watch. I was just wondering who the girl was in the video. Reply if you can. Thanks for making videos

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLE
I'm wondering how many of us have embarked on this quest? Sadly, the quest goes on for me.
2009 😭 I had money then
this guy is a goof
but love his videos hahaha
BBBBRRRIIIIIILLLLLLLIIIIIIAAAAAAANNNNNNTTTTTTT
i like the red head babe :))
400DOLLARS AHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Chuck Schuldiner’s grave? He’s not actually buried where you live, right?
Oh, speaking of skits, my dad and I were thinking of making this series on my channel called "Assh*le Dad"! We both thought it be hilarious and fun to do, and since he and I both love metal and rock, I thought we should get a second opinion from a fellow metalhead! What do you think?!
If it can be funny, do it
Did you actually pay $400 for that?
$350 yes
Did you actually pay 400 for an album, i wouldnt pay 40 but then again im only 14 so i make less money
$350, yes
I'd trade my still sealed copy. Yep bought it, forgot i bought it. Heh.
Anyway, I would trade it for a copy of SWANS - THE GREAT ANNIHILATOR on wax.
That one's a badass. Thing's on Discogs right now for $280. With all these reissues coming out now, some albums are just being plain ignored, this one included! I still can't believe most of the 80s Ramones stuff wasn't repressed by Rhino.
Yeah, limited to 500 UK only pressing. It also apparently sounds like shit and will be reissued sometime (both these statements came from Gira himself, who doesn't even own a copy for his own collection). A friend of mine told him I would pay up to $225 for it and he called me an "idiot". I still want it as it is a super important album too me. Same with "Too Dark Park". Last RIghts is cool but worth giving up for something I really want. I should have bought 2 copies of it in 2009 when it was everywhere.
Shipping from Greece is the only thing about that one copy that puts me off. I am 95% sure it was found at a flea market as someone posted photos of it at me on FB after he found it. Out of 500 copies world wide, I suspect not to many ended up there.
My copy of Too Dark Park was only $85, and it sounds friggin brilliant! I really love looking at the vinyl artwork. Wish they'd repress Process and the 93 version of Rabies on vinyl. Everyone complains about the original Rabies and say the 93 CD is great, but I've always wondered how the original vinyl sounds.. Well, 242 is reissuing vinyl lately and so is FLA, so maybe Swans are next. It's such a big demand that these bands will have to give in at some point! As long as it's sourced right I'll be on the moon... You could do what GradeA suggest and GoogleImage search it to see if it's a catfish copy xD
I have Rabies on vinyl and I think it sounds great, but I haven't heard the CD version in 20 years and am most familiar with the cassette as tha is what i had growing up. I got it pretty recently for $35 Canadian. That pretty much rounded out my collection. The rest i got in the late 90's/early 2000's when nobody gave a shit about either vinyl or Skinny Puppy. My partner picked some up at a punk rock garage sale event locally in 2011 for $5 each. The recent increase makes me both happy and sad. Happy for reissue, sad because filling in gaps is expensive for fans.
SWANS just reissued White Light Through the Mouth of Infinity and Love of Life as singles and a box set. The rumour is Soundtracks for the Blind is next on the list. They sound more balanced than the original pressings to my ears.
The area of Ontario I live in is also flush with industrial records. Ottawa/Toronto had huge goth/industrial scenes in the 80's/90's so there is tons of it here. If you are patient you can get what you want for an OK price.
do you have a tiktok I enjoy your stuff and I'd fallow you
I guess Vinterland's Welcome My Last Chapter is my white whale...
I have a master skillet. And soon I will have my own albums and a new guitar for Christmas! I will soon hold the power of the metal at 11!!!!!!!😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎤🎤🎤
lol i fucked up i just gave my original 1992 copy away
Lol
You could've just sold weed
Are you independently wealthy, Tony...that’s a lot of scratch for a record?!?!
This is a cool album but this tour was a complete fiasco
Population Reduction sucks ass
Skinny puppy has been one of my favorite band since 1984 have all of their vinyls
But sorry can't deal with the effeminate dude in the video
