Because they only started making the platinum fluted recently. Platinum is a very dificult material to make that bezel with so 99% of them are smooth.

For me, this is the epitome of the dress timepiece. Next second, the Calatrava 5227 in rose gold. The Ice blue Day Date is more versatile and practical, since there is no need to match it with any leather accessories, like the Calatrava.

I’m 6’4” 250 7.5 wrist I like 40-42MM watches but a Day Date has to be 36mm…imo.
