I worked really hard to try to make anime deck where they had a strong engine so they could keep cards in hand, but also didn't make oppressive end boards. Then I realized this was just rush duel
The optimist in me feels like maybe, just *maybe* Konami was waiting on Go Rush to finish (which I believe it will a couple months or so from this comment) to introduce all the new mechanics in a natural manner but also to allow for power creep. When you compare Rush Duel now to the main card game five years into its life, the power creep has been INSANE. Take Yggdrago for example. The original Yggdrago itself is just dead cards taking up spots in your hand unless you're lucky and manage to get all three. The card that introduced Maximum as a mechanic has been reimagined into a Fusion-based deck. In a way, that places it on more equal footing to the main game, which has had nearly 30 years to build up its power creep The pessimist in me remembers that people thought Rush would makes its way overseas when they announced the Sevens dub, and that came and went without so much as a single card being localized Time will tell
The Issue Rush will have coming to the west is the set order. Rush had a 1 deck meta for around the first 2 years. (Mostly due to the fusion they released that gave new life to the deck.) they will need to work out which decks are around that power level as that first deck (before the fusion) to have options.
I really want Rush Duel to come to the US, but I think COVID, and the widening gap of releases is keeping Konami from giving it to us. The game is so far ahead in Japan that the US would have to do pack releases monthly or bi-monthly (like they did in the TCG) in order to catch up with the current format.
If you know regular YGO, you'll have almost no problem learning the mechanics of Rush. You just need to unlearn everything you know about *strategy* (mainly, concepts like card advantage, or what to play and when, etc.) It's the same foundation but in practice it's a very different game
I really want Rush Duel to come to the TCG. The art and design looks amazing

If rush duelling comes to the west, I'm so building a strike dragon deck, seeing how they are quite impowring.

I want to rush so bad so many cool archetypes, more simple play, and no stupid negates.
Old or new yugioh.. they're all good
🎉

I want Rush Duel. Also I want Speed Duel but by their own effect and artwork, not just convert OCT/TCG to Speed Duel 😌
I would like rush duels the only issue for me tho is basicly the time to learn complex mechanics if they keep it simple then i would get into it

Do You think rush will suffer from power creep like master rule
We have no searching or chains in rush and no negation
speed duel died for our sins
Mane hell no they don’t even have the anime established yet
There’s the original intro first anime of rush duel dubbed called Yugioh sevens and just dubbed go rush on UA-cam
A cool thing they could do is add a rush duel mode to master duel. Like you can switch between each mode
As long as they make it affordable and not do what they are doing in the tcg, ill play it. I just don't want them making cards like dragias 50$
If this is why they are killing Speed Duel, i am just gona hate it. Speed duel is so much better.
