This is pure "Driving ASMR". Only thing missing were planes flying overhead at Detroit Metro Airport .
Interstate 94 in Michigan should be named the John C. Mackie Memorial Highway. I-94 from Benton Harbor to Detroit was constructed in 1960 and was the longest toll-free expressway in the US at the time, and Mackie was state highway commissioner from 1957 to 1963

I notice once you get to Michigan the landscape becomes more beautiful and when you hear Detroit, more exciting
No silly unethical double dipping toll roads in Michigan unlike Chicago too
Before I-94 was constructed, drivers took US 12 from Chicago to Detroit and vice versa.
Back in the day, US 12 was known as 112
@@rockeerockey6941, I didn't know that. That means I-94 replaces the old US 12 from Northwest Indiana to Michigan. US 12 now travels Former US 112.
@@CrystalClearWith8BE I think it's more like US 12 was substituted for old state route 112 and I-94 was a completely new entity
I 94 seems to parallel on us 12s path. Some US highways have parallels with interstates, like how interstate 75 and us 23 follow a similar route.
My nephews live just outside of Chicago and travel through that area of 94 between MI and Indiana quite a bit and to this day when I get into Indiana, they always HAVE some type of contractions on I94 just before IL. Super annoying.

There are so many left lane hogs. The police really need to start cracking down on them. If you aren’t going the flow of traffic and you’re in the left lane getting passed by many cars on the right, that’s very dangerous. I think it’s more dangerous than speeding (that’s dangerous too on busy roads)

Nothing planned at the moment. I have so many videos to catch up on from prior trips. I’ll have more time to edit soon though, which means more uploads.
On my stopwatch I timed the 45 mile segment through Indiana, completed in 4 minutes 14 seconds, for an average of 643 mph. Impressive!!
