You are unstoppable when it comes to fishing. I've learned so much from you.about fishing and can't thank you enough. I hope you and your family all have a Merry Christmas!

Richard you are amazing no matter the weather conditions you always go out and catch fish. Always happy an energetic. It is so addictive to go fishing with you. Have a wonderful holidays with loved ones and be blessed.
You is such an amazing person you desrve the best. Regardless of the weather you always find those fish. Yall have a bond together. Stay safe out there n give mama Sue our love.
MONSTER cold front coming next week Richard!!!! Wooooooo weeeeeeeeeee!!!!!! Highs in the single digits in our neck of the woods!!!!! Take care Richard!!
Richard. Video posted 5 hrs ago and you have 10,000 views. WOW. I am so happy for your UA-cam success. Been watching for Im guessing a couple years. The channel has really grown. I hope you know how much you and your family are loved. I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and blessed New Year!
CONGRATS!!! ALMOST 300,000 subs. ALMOST 80,000,000 views. ALMOST 19,000 views in 16 hours on this video. HARD to believe what a JUGGERNAUT your channel has become since 2016. Couldn't happen to a nicer fellow.
You do look cold , Richard.....but you know its really cold when you have to keep cleaning the ice out of the eyelets on your fishing pole like I've had to do up here in N.J........wooooo!!!!
My boy and I have caught some nice ones this season with tips from the fishing machine!! New to crappie fishing and we hooked and so blessed to have this good channel Mr Gene . Happy fishing to all and God bless !
I can’t tell you how much I enjoy watching you enjoy yourself it truly helped me I am up tight individual I want to go Fishing and I will get to somebody thank you for sharing
Nice job as always! I think it would be great if you could share some old school techniques of crappie fishing as well as how to locate fish with minimal to no electronics. I LOVE to fish old school, with minimal electronic assistance but would love to learn how you would find fish prior to new tech. Thanks!!
We had a little storm come through one day here in West Tennessee where I live. Thunder and rain and high winds. As soon as it passed the sun came back out and the temperature got blasting hot and I loaded up and went fishing in the obion River. Wouldn't there but just a few minutes and pulled in a HUGE BLUECAT. Richard you are RIGHT!!! Don't worry about the weather. JUST GO FISHING WHEN YOU CAN BECAUSE IT'S GOOOOOOOD FER YOU!!!!!!
That was too Cool seeing you work that water change line. I've used it to catch fish out on the bay and never thought about it working out in fresh water. Great lesson for me. They say pink is the most visible color in dirty water and I think chartreuse is next. So that pink an chartreuse was bound to work. Plus you caught some really good fish.
Brother Rich, compliments another video that shows great instincts on reading water conditions, crappie tendencies during transitions and really good suggestions on how and why to change up, including bait colors. I'm motivated by your statement concerning crappie tendencies during frontal conditions. Agreed, many fishermen have concluded, crappie fishing is indeed tough during and just after fronts. Thanks again for the insight, much appreciated.
Just plain woooo. I've always felt that no matter the weather or water conditions fish gotta eat. You are constantly proving my theory by catching them no matter the conditions. Have a wonderful Christmas Richard and blessings to you and yours always. And remember...Keep Slangin and Keep Hangin. Merry Christmas .
To me growing up with my Grandpa taking me Speck fishing or crappie, this is prime time fishing. Late December and January to February is crappie season, some of the best memories!
You know your stuff when it comes to jigs. Especially catching them behind a strong cold front. I really would like to learn your techniques when it comes to jigging
Richard, brace yourself for what is headed your way. If you thought the low 50's were bad the weather headed your way will be a real eye opener. Weather hit here in Southwest Missouri this morning. Cold and snow. Temperature is expected to be single digits by evening and sub zero wind chill by noon. See where y'all may have a hard freeze tonight. Stay warm and thanks for your videos. Wishing you and Mama Sue a merry Christmas 🎄⛄
Thanks, Richard, for takin us with you today. This time of year as it's getting colder and cold fronts come through its getting harder to convince myself to get out and go fishing. Right now I'm between boats, and I sure hate to go bank fishing. Either way it's still a good day to enjoy God's beautiful outdoors and do some fishing. If we don't see yall again before Christmas, I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas. God bless you and your family and have a blessed day my friend.
I certainly wish I could fish like you do in the winter. Today is 12/18/22 and it's in the teens and single digits at night so to cold for me. Ice will be forming if it stays like this. God bless.
Glad you were feeling well enough to fish. Of Course, fishing is good medicine! Do you mind sharing what type of fish finder you use, sir? Thank's and keep making great videos.
RGTFM - I'm chuckling when you talk about how cold it is. It's not cold if you can cast a lure and see it sink in the water. When I cast a lure it sits on top of the ice.
Your energy and fish finding abilities are amazing . You catch them no matter the conditions, with minimal equipment. Thank you for carrying us with you and for the tips . Have a Merry CHRISTmas and a blessed new year to all ! 🙏✝️😍
My name Anthony Weathers, I live in Cleveland Tennessee, I fish all the time, Man I love watching you fish for those crappie, brother you just make me feel great watching you fish, your one cool dude, maybe one day we can hook up, and go fish
Always a joy to watch your fishing videos Richard. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and expertise . God bless you and your Family Sir. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Please take care and stay safe.
I know lol I’m from Panama City just moved to the u.p. Last year it is cold back home when it gets 26 and damp there it’s colder than -26 here stay warm..🇺🇸🦅
Cracks me up.. you obviously love fishing. My buddy n I struggle fishing in these conditions. We often change baits and as you mentioned sometimes they just don’t/won’t bite. Good job! Keep up the great content!
Mr. Wooooo, if I may suggest a tip based on your thumbnail image of this video. When using the line guide to keep your tied lure, always use the arm section instead of the ring insert section to hook the lure to the line guide. What could happen over time when using the ring section is damage to the insert, which could alter the casting distance substantially or even frey the line, creating weak spots. Being you are an avid light line angler, I hope this suggestion keeps your lures wet longer.
A gold Bobby garland baby shad is a great color. I only wish there was a better color jighead to match it but I normally fish a bare leaf one or chartreuse anyways
Well Gene, most fishermen want an easy time on the water. Not many will get out there in a cold windy day, after a nasty night of wind and weather. Just look around, how many fishermen you see out there? Watching your video, I haven't seen 1... Have a good holiday Gene, you and Sue. Keep her in the fish and she'll let you go out and fish. She'll be more accepting of it, if you give her the impression you're doing it for her!
Richard. do you think when you are anchored or tied up and catching em like that would it be any benefit to turn off your graphs?? Thanks for all you do!!
Always Great To See A RJTFM Video pop up❤️❤️❤️ I got so tickled when you right in the middle of being Amped Up you said, there’s a Turd Over There😂🤣🤣😂😂😂🤪🤪🤪Lol We Love You Richard❤️❤️GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

Way to tough it out, Richard! It was pretty bad over here in Crane Hill, Alabama, too... Smith Lake jumped up 5 feet from all the rain! Will there be snow at the end of this week??? God bless ALL of us! WWG1WGA
Yelp, its cold alright. I was on West Point yester-evening till 3 am and let me just say, when on the lake when it's 34 degrees! You can't bet it is 5 or more degrees cooler on the water.

I truly appreciate your fishing knowledge. No high dollar fish finders. A true fisherman. Merry Christmas.
No live scope or side scan and Richard still catches them! We can learn so much from him! Love his videos. God bless you Richard and your family! Have a merry Christmas and happy holidays!
He's got side imaging. The difference is he shows you what he's doing and let's 90% go.
I believe crappies can identify colors also
Richard you are amazing no matter the weather conditions you always go out and catch fish. Always happy an energetic. It is so addictive to go fishing with you. Have a wonderful holidays with loved ones and be blessed.

Cajun cricket is an awesome orange jig. I catch piles of fish on it.

Mr. Gene, you've mentioned finding the shad to find crappie, is there any way to do that short of a fish finder?
Yelp, its cold alright. I was on West Point yester-evening till 3 am and let me just say, when on the lake when it's 34 degrees! You can't bet it is 5 or more degrees cooler on the water.
