I've so been appreciating your solo adventures. Some of us prefer solitude and yet we have our letters to the world, because we love the world, and its people, and yet we're hurt by the muchness.
I read somewhere that the Wright Brothers went to the Army to seek funding for their airplane project. Army generals at the time said we have no idea what your invention can do for the US armed forces.😂
Another wonderful video. 😊 You are far from boring Angie!!😃 Loved seeing you play with the sand - you were in the present moment and enjoying it, including the sand dune slides! Thank you so much for sharing ❤
If you like birds, an excellent stop is the Pea Island Visitor's Center. Telescopes to look at birds in the large ponds. You can walk around the ponds as well. No pets allowed outside of the parking lot.
If you head east from here you need to see Cumberland Gap and Cumberland falls. There's a state park in southern Kentucky, and Northern Tennessee called Big South Fork. It's a beautiful park with no tourism, and very few locals explore the park. It has an old mining community, the largest stone arches this side of the Mississippi River, the largest slot canyon and sandstone cliffs in the state of Tennessee. There's countless waterfalls some around 70-100 feet with over 100 miles of trails to hike. Plenty of places for free camping even in your car. It's a great place to go for the trips you enjoy anyone you would happen to run into will be kind and friendly
Your videos are some of the most enjoyable and relatable story-telling and travel content here on UA-cam. Really great pacing between bits of history and fun commentary! My wife and I make sure to catch each new adventure you post, and she also apparently really likes your hiking boots since she mentioned them the first she saw them. 😄 Would you mind you sharing the brand?
Could have sworn you said you got a sled back at White Sands.😉 I hope you remember it when you get to Great Sand Dunes, that will be an E-Ticket attraction! Great video Angie.👍
Hi Miss Angie! You are so informative in all your video's. Always enjoy your laughter and smiles. Like I said in your other video's- If it was not for you I would not be able to see all the fascinating places you went to. So , I really appreciate all your video's you posted.
Have limited battery, no inverter & can't watch full vids rn so I skimmed, but was just along the coast last month!! Atlantic Beach / Morehead City / Beaufort is pretty cool. They have a small Maritime Museum with exhibit near where Blackbeard's ship was found. Fort Macon State Park is nice too, good place to park during the day, and the waterfowl museum was better than expected. The seafood really is great there, even a fried combo shrimp/oyster/flounder was the best I've had. That's the area where we stayed for a bit, as of 2 weeks ago there were plenty of overnighters at the W. Not sure how busy it is now. Just a very difficult place to try and land seasonal jobs when you're not a local... We did not visit Hatteras, Ocracoke, or Cape Lookout on the ferries but would if we had 4WD or an RV I'd recommend avoiding US-17 and Jacksonville, NC / Camp Lejeune area when busy (military area w/ testing range)... however further south Wrightsville Beach was really pretty at night. Outside of that it's not as safe an area though, despite the university.
Out in the outer banks, I have not explored very much. Closer to the middle of NC, there is table rock, in blowing rock on the parkway, there is a great place called Julian Price park and it has a trail that leads to the Hebron rock colony, one of my personal favorites. The parkway through blowing rock has a lot of okay spots, you have to travel around to find something that really sticks out to you though. And when it comes to Asheville, I also haven’t explored too much to really know of great stand out places but there are definitely many in Asheville since it is around the Pisgah national forest
Now your in my state! Spent many, many days at the Outer Banks. So glad you chose to visit. Back in the early 80's took several hang gliding trips to Jockey's Ridge. (just need a bird brain to fly...) Last trip the the Wright Memorial, my oldest grandson and I walked the full First Flights path, just as you did. Was so great to see the places thru your eyes. Surprised at the lack of folks, as it has grown so much in the last 40+ years. Next trip - bring some kites out on Jockey's Ridge! Thanks.
That is incredible!! I would love to try hang gliding like you did one day and the Outer Banks seems like the perfect spot. I will definitely be bringing a kite next time! Thank you for the tip!
So good to have you in NC. You did a fantastic job representing us. Sorry for the cold shower. Hopefully you smell better. Thanks for another good one and, as always, look forward to the next! Blessings!!
oh hey it's angie! glad to see you pop up again! wow, you've gone quite far, all the way across the nation... hope to see more awesome places you visit. :3
You are so cute! lol You definitely DID know that the Outer Banks is famous for aerial sports because you definitely learned that in elementary school. lol You just didn't realize that long history has continued ever since then. : ) Next time you're in the sand dunes, bring a cardboard box from a local grocery story or a cafeteria tray and SLIDE down those dunes with ease (but recycle the box afterwards : ) ) You were there before Spring Break, and thank goodness for that! I'm sure it's a different world this week and next week. Cold showers are just mercilessly uncomfortable unless it's 80 degrees or warmer. Yikes! Great video
I must have skipped school that day... haha!!! But I have seen the cardboard box trick, and I will have to try it one of these times when I actually plan ahead, thank you!!!
I spent time at that spot when I was a kid in the late 90s. It was too chilly at the time to swim, but it was a great place to check out, explore, and take pictures. Great video! Got some nostalgia vibes from this.

Another wonderful video Angie! Thanks for always sharing with us!💖👍😎JP
You do you! Viewers have buttons available to do whatever. I enjoy the same "mundane". Life is lovely!

👍🏻way cool!
I love lighthouses as well. Each has a distinctive light timing so passing mariners would know exactly where they were.
I did not know that, that's fascinating!

Seals? In North Carolina?!?
I feel like this will get a lot of view.
Did you make it to orange blossom cafe??
I did see it! But it was the afternoon and they were closed! Just another excuse to make another trip out there. Their pastries look incredible!
