Bold of them to even ask you to move. Keep your spot. Love campfire cooking videos as I'm starting to do that myself with Dutch oven. Something fun to try.
I love your quirkiness and sense of humor. First come first serve. You stay, you should not be asked to move. The calzone looks delicious. You should do more videos cooking food over a fire.
That question at the end of your video reflects on one reason why we all love you. You are in the upper percentile of nice people! ❤ My suggestion is to try to totally avoid the question by purchasing a cheap tent to attempt displaying your intentions of camping overnight. Otherwise people will continue to assume you are 'going home' to sleep and ask for first dibs on your spot. I enjoyed watching your cooking! 😊
Don't encourage entitlement. You got there first. Anyone who thinks they deserve your spot more than you, and has the nerve to suggest you move is a bad person to begin with. Don't reward their narcissism. Love the campfire calzone! You rock Angie!
This was great. I love how you are taking a risk and getting out there to see things. Everyone should. Just found your channel a week or so ago and it's great! Keep up the cooking and don't let people guilt you out of the best spots. They're the same ones that will put down a camp chair to 'save' a spot when that's against the rules. To the victor go the spoils! I saw someone do Enchilada's in their dutch oven on another channel. Give that a shot, looked fantastic!
No, never give up a first come first serve. If they wanted it, they shoulda gotten there first. Also DANG lady that calzone looks so fire. You should get s Dutch oven.
You can't make a bad video hon. Everything you do & try is just adorable & very entertaining. So I'm an Aussie & we love a good BBQ hamburger & thick cut chips ( fries ). There MUST be beetroot on the burger & to a lesser degree a slice of pineapple. Without these two elements, it's just another ordinary burger . Of course washed down with a cold beer . xx Keep smiling.
After watching Angie's cooking show a few times, I think I know what I did wrong back then when I tried making pizza. But, I was only alittle kid back then. What did I know, right? lol
On the campsite question- Stand your ground! If it’s 1st come policy it doesn’t matter how many people are in the party. You called dibs first! Enjoyed the cooking experiment!
I love the classic potatoes with ground meat and other veggies in tinfoil. We called them tinfoil dinners. Cut your root veggies small and use lots of spices. You have to bake it in lots of layers of tinfoil in the coals. Great job on your first attempt with the calzones!! And I also agree it’s quite rude of someone to ask you to move especially when the sites are all the same size. Oh! Baking a cake in a hollowed out orange is fun too!
The nerve of some city-slicker amateur campers! You cared enough to get there early, you deserve the spot! Definitely more cooking videos. As for what to cook, challenge yourself. Try a banana nut bread. Cowboy cookies might be an apropos choice.🙂
I've got a couple dished I used to make way back when I was in the scouts, you should definitely try cooking these over a fire! The first one is called Stick Bread, where you make a sweetened bread dough, roll the dough into tubes/snakes and wrap them around a stick. Then simply hold over a fire until the dough is fully cooked, rotating every now and then. The second dish is a dessert where you make a cut along a banana, still in its peel, then you stuff that cut with chocolate, wrap the entire thing in aluminium foil, and lay in the coals or close to the fire until the chocolate melts. So good!
Yes, keep up the cooking videos! Make shrimp scampi next. And stand your ground with the camp sites. Others want an excellent spot, they can beat you to it!
Great job on the Calzone. I like watching campers cook. Also, I would not move campsites. It’s first come so don’t feel bad about getting a great site. It’s awful that someone would make you feel bad about it.
Congrats on the calzone, it looked delish! As far as the first come first serve campsites, if it were in a campground they would have to choose from the open sites. IMHO it would be rude to ask someone to move. Are they asking because you’re in a car instead of an RV or Van? Maybe get an awning or canopy to put out when you are staying multiple days so you look more permanent. So my conclusion is…stand your ground.
Don't move sites. They didn't get over there early enough to have that spot. Maybe next time they will try harder. It's a learning experience for them. 😅 Cooking suggestions: Maybe you could make different ethnic foods each cooking episode? Oooh, or maybe fish, gut, and fry a fish? 🤔 BTW I love your channel. You brighten my day. 😊
Angie, another great video. Love your content ! My answer on your ethical question is this, It's called "First Come First Serve" for a reason. The saying isn't called "First Come and then give it away to whoever asks." Duh !! Always keep your spot. Others can just deal with it. Not your problem. And DON'T feel bad about it !! Peace out !
Please make more videoes of calzones. Yummy! I remember having those at some local pizza place when I was going to college, but yours look much better. :)
Great job, Angie! Have you ever cooked a Banana Boat on the grill? My mom used to love to make them. You slice the banana from end to end. You can fill them with anything you like. My mom always just used chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. After filling the banana where you sliced it, wrap it in aluminum foil. Cook until things are melted inside the banana. It just takes a few minutes. 🍌😁
Stumbled on your channel when your van adventure came to my attention. Loved it so much, went back and started watching you from the very beginning! I am almost all caught up and have been enjoying each and every one as I go =). Commenting on this one for the ethical question: first come, first served is the rule. Don't get bullied out of your "first come" status! And keep on vlogging!
I like how the music emphasizes your high class cooking presentation. Garlic hurts vampires btw. Super fun to watch you cook! Perfect with the hot sauce. Spaghetti next.
Don’t move! First come, first serve is a thing. Also, I enjoyed your baking/cooking video. Keep on making them. Maybe fish tacos one of these times? I haven’t made them while camping yet, but been thinking to.
Most interesting calzone cooking segment hands down Angie!!😀 It looked delicious 😋. The suspense & humour had me hooked!!😀 Definitely yes to more cooking segments. How about a sausage roll? - they're an Aussie favourite. As for camping spots... you were there first, it's as simple as that. Don't feel bad for getting there first. 😊 Thanks for the entertainment ❤
I used to not have a hand mixer either! My arms were always sore by the time the cookie dough was mixed together. It always made it more rewarding to eat afterward though!!
Interesting cooking. I'm not into cooking myself but love to watch other people do. Stay safe. You should have a taser or something like that unless you have one already.
Great content keep it up! Early bird catches the worm, if you get a good pitch keep it, we always try to plan our van trips so we arrive when most same people are leaving and get us a good spot ready for the next days adventures! And as for the cooking, definitely more please, calzone looked amazing! Leo was asking whens daddy making those in the van 🤦🏼🤦🏼
If you get there first, you are the one who is entitled to stay at that camp site. Don’t let other people make you feel uncomfortable to the point you had to move. That’s just rude people pretending to be nice to take your spot. Stand your ground if you know your safety will not be compromised; if you feel unsafe, then it’s best to move to a safer spot. I love to cook too, especially baking breads/pastries! I don’t have a lot of camping experience, but I know if I bring my cast iron, then I’ll definitely be cooking all kinds of open flame meals. My Pan Pita Pizza comes to mind. Basically make the pita flat bread first, add the sauce, cheese and toppings. 😊
You helped me with realize I been going too quick before the yeast activates!!!! You should try spinach calzone with broccoli and whatever meat you want. That was always my fav
Also, no need to feel the need to move camp spots for others unless it's reserved. Unreserved campsites are yours if you got there first. It might make you feel bad for not moving but you shouldn't. First come first serve.
Apple strudel might be a shout , the layers of filo pastry might be a little tricky , but puff or short crust might work , love your vids , great to see so many views and your channel is growing pretty fast, keep up the great work , sending good vibes from Wales
First, the calzone looked great. Second, don't give up your hard earned space. If the latecomers always get what they want they will never learn. I say this as somebody who is always late, I get the lesson but don't care enough to take action on the lesson. :-)
I'd say don't move as you went to the trouble of making sure you were there first. I did share my campsite once with another family of campers and because I did they invited me to their dinner which was pretty cool.
How about a chocolate cake for cooking idea ? :) Or do a trendy thing if you haven't tried already, how about a little rock stacking in equilibrium ? First come first served: you are first then you stay, no hard feelings as you play following the rules. Any rule says only one night ? keep it up!
Keep up your boundaries - first come means that. Just because you're alone in your car doesn't mean you aren't entitled to the nice camping spot. Foil pack cooking (also called hobo cooking) is the way to go. Loads of options and not a lot of cleanup. Keys - fire is down to coals, use high quality heavy duty foil in two layers with a layer of damp paper towels in between, close your foil pack using a butcher's fold.
I llove your travel videos, but with these your fun personality comes out more which I love to see so I like a mix in your videos. As for cooking: We love making enchilladas on campsites. Also stir fried rice is always a good one, I cheat and buy pre-cooked rice for that which makes it really easy. And have you ever tried Dutch pancakes? I love them with apple and bacon which I think you would like too ;-) As far as the campsite goes, it's first come first serve as I understand it over there (I'm in Europe, from the Netherlands where camping and campsites are quite different), but if I'd only be there for one night and the others are planning on a longer stay I might consider moving if asked politely.
As for the ethical question!! I believe in first come first serve! Also if it's free it's free and I don't think anyone can complain unless they're asking for a refund (and complaining or begging is never something I would like to see). I think everyone deserves what comes to them, so if you're getting all the great camp spots then woohoo you go, girl!
Awesome job, it looked so yummy. Definitely was screaming for some sour cream or blue cheese. I'd love to see you make homemade chilli or an American goulash. I personally wouldn't move for someone, but I also wouldn't be stopping and asking if you were leaving either. People should move along and find an empty campsite. 🎉
New to the channel love the channel. First come first serve. You got there first you are entitled to enjoy it yourself. The meal prep and cook reminded me for some reason of the pilgrims or colonials style cooking from history class. Awesome by the way. See if you can do some rotisserie items chicken, beef, or anything. Remember in-direct heat is the way to go.
If there's a family with little kids I'd consider moving/sharing a spot. All grown-ups... first come, first served! And they've (statistically) got more gear with them than you do to make a spot nice 😄
I'm cringing, but because of the amount of hot sauce. Reminds me why I put a toilet in our camper... LOL. Look forward to your further experiments with cooking. edit- seeing that you have leftovers- ever considered getting a small 12V fridge? No, don't move. First come, first served. And don't feel bad about it.
Great cooking video. So much fun. On the campsite i would stay and not move. This drives me crazy. Do single camper not deserve a good spot? I don't understand why it is ok for people to ask single person to move.
This is awesome! Cooking is what I miss the most when traveling in general. So cool that you brought scratch cooking to the camping experience. I’m going to start traveling with my sourdough starter now.
I do car camping in the FF type dispersed sites like what you're describing. No way ought you feel compelled to move. I can't imagine asking someone to or hinting at it or any of that. But, they can ask. You, enjoy that prime real estate long as you want! fwiw
I would stay put. It seems like asking someone to move would be unethical and kinda rude. I've never had anyone ask me that though. Did they ask you to move, or just ask if you were staying? If it's the latter, they hopefully just wanted to know and weren't suggesting you move for them. It might be unclear if you don'thave anything set up. As soon as I pull into a camp spot, I usually start pulling things out of my vehicle, so maybe that's the difference? Stay put though, final answer.
Don't move or let someone guilt you into giving up your camp spot either. I think it's pretty audacious for someone to ask "are you going to move?" Just be like "no lol" and go back to enjoying your camp spot. I wouldn't feel bad about it either.
It seems rude of people to ask for your spot, but I think it’s because having only a small car probably doesn’t really look like camping to most people. They probably figure you’re all packed up and about to leave, in which case it’s a fairly reasonable question. That said, you shouldn’t feel obligated to move for anyone if you like the spot! Somehow making yourself look more “campish” could avoid the question altogether. And yes more cooking videos would be cool!
All of your vlog are great. Regarding your ethical question, stay with First come first serve strategy. Btw, just out of curiosity, how and when do you do the edits of the videos?
You got there first! Don't move. I question their ethics by even asking you to move! If you've got the calzone down, you've got pizza down. I've seen bread cooked in a tin can which I have yet to try. I'm trying to master making a loaf of bread on my car engine! There is nothing like fresh bread while camping. If you don't want to buy a dutch oven you could move on to foil packets.
I don’t understand why in the world anyone would ask and expect you to move from a spot you were already at, like they’d reserved it it something? People are incredible. 😂
Don’t move sites when you get there first. ❤
She cooks better than me in my whole house kitchen.
Make an apple fritter.
That question at the end of your video reflects on one reason why we all love you. You are in the upper percentile of nice people! ❤
My suggestion is to try to totally avoid the question by purchasing a cheap tent to attempt displaying your intentions of camping overnight. Otherwise people will continue to assume you are 'going home' to sleep and ask for first dibs on your spot.
I enjoyed watching your cooking! 😊
A. No you should not move. You must enjoy life!
B. Any wrap in aluminum meal sounds interesting to me! Easy aluminum foil meals!!!
Don't encourage entitlement. You got there first. Anyone who thinks they deserve your spot more than you, and has the nerve to suggest you move is a bad person to begin with. Don't reward their narcissism. Love the campfire calzone! You rock Angie!
You got there first so I say stay lol
Early bird gets the worm Angie. Don’t move it’s your spot you earned it by being the early bird. I loved watching you bake that it was awesome
I admire your sense of adventure. You shouldn’t give up a spot if you got there first. Just be careful. I enjoyed your video. Thanks again!
This was great. I love how you are taking a risk and getting out there to see things. Everyone should. Just found your channel a week or so ago and it's great! Italian sausage calzone with veggies next episode? Nope, heck with those people! teehee :)
I love to see you cook. Please do more "cooking in the wild" episodes. Thank you.

Make a campfire pizza! And yes, it's first come first serve.. you shouldn't have to move if you don't want to. Take care! 🙂
First come first serve, if you’re there first don’t feel bad about having that site, it’s your site for the night since you were there first.
Looked very good. Good job!!
Impressive making a calzone over an open fire!! Gotta try that.....🎉🎉 Maybe try a baked potato or a meatloaf?? Thank for a great video.
Flame on foil is fine! grrunt! grunt! cooking on fire is fun! lol
If there's a family with little kids I'd consider moving/sharing a spot. All grown-ups... first come, first served! And they've (statistically) got more gear with them than you do to make a spot nice 😄
Actually made me hungry for pasta and meatballs tonight
Stand your ground :-). Wait till the fire makes coals, then cook over the coals. But excellent 1st attempt at cooking Calzone/Stombolli outside :-))))
I would love to see more cooking! That looked amazing.
Absolutely don't move. You wouldn't pressure someone to move if they were there before you
Great job! I love seeing your cooking/daily life videos. I would watch anything you do though - you're very entertaining
Dont move. It says in the name - First Come, First Serve. Think of it this way, would they move for you? Great job with the calzone!
Move along ppl I'm camping for ever here and no you can't have my car..ppl..I'm guessing that all you do & cook is very good if not better..ty
I agree with the “First come first serve “ as long as you don’t hog the area for long periods of time 🙂 also try bake cookies 😁
i love angie so much!
First Come, First Serve. That's fair! I wouldn't More baking/cooking videos.
Don't move. People will try to take advantage of your compassion to benefit themselves.
Worth the wait. Love the dish.
I think you should try Dutch oven recipes, but that might require more gear that you might not have space for.
Also you can try preparing grill hamburgers 🍔
I do car camping in the FF type dispersed sites like what you're describing. No way ought you feel compelled to move. I can't imagine asking someone to or hinting at it or any of that. But, they can ask. You, enjoy that prime real estate long as you want! fwiw

Keep your spot.
Yay! You did great! 🎉
gnocci! Make gnocci!!!!!!! You are so fkn cool Angie!!
You got there first, you should stay there. Maybe the late folks will learn to get going if they want the better camp spot.
Ben Wyatt would be proud.
Don't move or let someone guilt you into giving up your camp spot either. I think it's pretty audacious for someone to ask "are you going to move?" Just be like "no lol" and go back to enjoying your camp spot. I wouldn't feel bad about it either.

First come first serve means just that. I would never ask someone to move, nor would I move.

Furthermore, back then we didn't have internet / google, had to walk to the library, use the card catelog, / old school. Shrug.
Nice.. Nommers..
I don’t understand why in the world anyone would ask and expect you to move from a spot you were already at, like they’d reserved it it something? People are incredible. 😂
I agree !! I would never move my campsite for that reason .
