Think about what others dont. Pay attention to what people dont. And Make good things happen for people that need it. CHARITY, MERCY, and Openmindedness.
This is probably one of the best compliments I could have gotten. My goal is to make us all, even me, rethink how we engage with each other. Thank you so much for saying this. I am honored.
Beautiful talk Dethra. Great message. Great delivery. Let's all just get along. And, lets be curious not judgemental. Or, as David Marquet says - curious, not compelling.
There are multiple frames that you need to understand an organisation: -Structural: roles, responsibilities, ... -HR: harmony btwn needs of organisation & people -Political: individuals & groups interested -Cultural: culture, language, tradition, events *_edit: Symbolical, not cultural frame_ This seems obvious but if a project manager don't know these frames, the communication will be compromised and the project will be most likely to fail. That's what we have been taught in 214 Project Management
"If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is idle; Think you have but slumbered here, While this vision did appear; And this weak and idle theme, Gentles, do not reprehend. If you pardon, we will mend." (Shakespeare - A Midsummer Night's Dream)
What's the point? You're at work to work, not to sit in a circle and listen to everyone express their feelings about topics that have nothing to deal with work. Work isnt a high school cafeteria. Do the work and go home. Want to have deep conversations? Go out and do that on your own time.
I get her point. I get your point too. I wanted to add that networking is limited when people don't understand or maybe appreciate difference. But let me get back to work 👩🏽💻
Lunch and break is my time. Also I can talk and work at the same time without it hurting my work. Preventing people from talking also hurts moral and encourages incompetence.
In short companies should encourage employees to drink together. Alcohol is a good tool for breaking down walls. I live in Utah, the Mormon community here is overwhelming. I was raised in the LDS church but do not concider myself as a Mormon. It's difficult working around so many judgmental Christians. I always feel I'm being judged and have to filter my conversations as well as portray myself as a different person than I really am.
I see so much ignorance around me. That's not a value judgement, just an observation. This can be fixed easily. Just open your mind, meet people, read. You might or might not change your view on something, but you'll be informed improve your understanding.
I was HOOKED the entire time, this woman is an incredibly brilliant and engaging speaker.
Thank you Queen. What a great compliment. I am honored!

Dope you are bro
I appreciate this message, and I hope people practice what she preaches. It's time people learn to get along and listen to each other.
Great talk!! This made me reevaluate how I engage with people, so thank you

(i couldn’t make it past the first 30 seconds though)
Pity you
That comments only on you, rather that the video.
If you don't talk about it, it might be a problem if you act upon it.
Saved the day.

Go back and watch again. You’ll see the reason why it’s important to have dialogue like this at work.
Lunch and break is my time. Also I can talk and work at the same time without it hurting my work. Preventing people from talking also hurts moral and encourages incompetence.
It's not just "feelings". It's people. It's society. It's belief systems. It's EVERYTHING relevant.
Work is our life too.
Thanks
👏🏼👏🏾👏👏🏿👏🏻👏🏽

We talk politics in work frequently. Maybe it's just a European thing.
When anyone else saw her shirt, did their mind go to "bong hits for Jesus"? I know it's totally unrelated, but seriously, anyone else?
8:28 Didn't your mom teach you to think before you talk back when you were four years old?
Altyazı koysanız bizde izleyebilsek fena olmaz
Simply awesome. Thank you for the lesson ❤ #7/11
I thought her shirt said "Goo is dope"
HilariousReveal I thought it said “good is dope” I would never click on it if I saw the word “god”

I told my manager that we can solve world hunger and overpopulation with cannibalism... HR didn't agree, neither did my manager. 😒
It's too late people don't believe no mo
Diversity, like usual among neo-Stalinists, means everyone thinks and talks the same.
This is BS, at least in Europa
Maybe europa doesn't exist?
Europa never existed, its s myth
Sir De wit this is definitely more of an American concept but it would be nice for other places to have the desire to talk about those things as well
Oof
