this game starts like a .io continues as an fps goes further as a strategy game transforms into a 4x game and ends with a starcraft style game.
definetly one of my favorites.
Stumbled upon this vid by accident and watched it from start to end even though I'm not that kind of guy who is into speedruns much. Awesome comentary and cool strategies! Enjoyed it, thanks dude!
mom cell: what is our baby’s gender?
cell doctor: uhh, it’s a speedrunner
dad cell: what?
Valence: dying in cell stage is pretty good because it gives a new area
mom: uh oh
wtf
If universe is truly infinite then that is absolutely true
Junk: "It's a boy!"
Punk: "I think it's a little early to start imposing roles on it, don't you?"
*Funk:* "There are actually fifteen different home planets, and the current strats say this is the fastest planet to use."
Suicide is badass!
Broke: playing as your assigned gender as birth
Woke: playing as a girl because the male rival talks less
I spent an hour just for the civilization stage and this dude finishes the whole game in the same time.
This was a great watch. I learnt things I never knew (looting tribes in Civ stage!) and thought you handled the chaos of early Tribal stage well. I thought your explanations throughout were very clear as well. Nice work. I may have to dig out my old CDs and reinstall.
As someone who owned spore since when my older brother bought it when I was barely 6, I've been in love with Spore. The game that teached me english and a bit of reading // writing seeing some attention today makes me really happy. Amazing speedrun :)
he got a world record even with that chaotic tribal stage, what a mad lad
Great video! The commentary made the video really interesting and informative, first time watching a Spore run so your commentary helped me understand what was happening on screen. Congrats on the WR!
1. I never knew that I needed spore speed run videos in my life but now I just want more.
2. This video definitely needs more views and Valence needs more subscribers.
3. Nicol bolas avatar. That’s it.
Thank you! I never expected this video to do this well. I've never gotten more than 20k views on anything I've done on UA-cam in 8 years. I am so thankful there is so much interest and excitement and I plan to make more Spore videos too. I have some individual Stage Spore record videos on UA-cam that don't have commentary that I plan to add commentary to hopefully keep the interest levels up!
I see. Another Magic the Gathering fan such as myself.
@@KinglyValence I am a huge fan of you, and I will watch all your videos! Please continue to make great content for everyone!
At first I wasn’t taking this seriously but your knowledge of this game is actually impressive man. Good job ❤️
Grox: Our weapons can shoot down your ship in about a second, you'll never make it to the center of the galaxy!
Kingly: haha spaceship go brrrr
That applies to every ship that shoots at you for some reason; if you never stop moving, they can't hit you. Once you stop and hover over a star, you can't lose them without leaving their territory.
Spore was such a high level game for its age, and I loved it
I loved spore, it was my favourite game when I was younger, and it’s funny, I kept feeling so unsatisfied whenever he skipped the big skeletons in creature stage, even though it was a speed run 😂
I'm surprised people still play this, this game had so much potential, imagine if it ever had some sort of multiplayer
Yesss, I still play thoooo I've played it since I was 4
People tend to play good games. No matter how old they are.
I have a good idea for a multiplayer Spore, it will be a battle royale for the planet with 600 players :
Cell stage : 600 players
Creature stage : 240 players
Tribal stage : 60 players
Civilization stage : 10 players
And only one player by planet on the space stage. But I have no idea for the space stage.

EA own the game
Even if EA listen to you they will make it pay to win

Space stage: fight the whole solar system
I've only briefly heard about this game, never seen or played it. I watched the entire thing. Tremendous.
28:05 me at 2 am going to my mom's bedroom to tell her I threw up
LMAO
Laughed out loud lol
I've messed around with the game for 500+ hours and haven't beaten it once yet this man has beaten it in 56 minutes.
Ya this... I played it as a kid, I remember exploring the galaxy. Never got to the middle... Is this just me?
I usually get to the space stage and stop
Dude I’ve been playing it since it came out and havent lol
I befriended the grox. Everyone declared war on me, but were too afraid to fight. I had to beat some of the larger empires into submission though, then refriended them after lol
Usually stop at tribal its just boring to me
Him: (holds control to rip off a joint to speed up arm creation)
Me who's been plaing spore since 2010: 😮
Me whos been playing since 2008, and not knowing about asymmetrical hands and feet: 😮
@@kylewilhite4162 How did he do that, btw?

This genuinely made my day so much, I Love the commentary and the cute creatures, I honestly Love this game to death and never knew their was speed runs for this cute game!
I've never cared for speedrunning before, and I've never really watched all the way through a speedrun, but this one had me watching with glee! I loved Spore, and a part of me is still wishing to have it be remastered, and watching all the strategy and thought go into this speedrun was thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you, and well done!
That epic attacking the first tribe was actually peak comedy not gonna lie
I've watched this video 3 times lol, this is probably my favourite commentary in a while; not rushed or overwhelming, but never lacking in information or boring.
This man turned an amoeba into an empire that knows the meaning of life, in under an hour. Explain that one, ATHEISTS
Sorry man, I can't.
'Atheists hate him, he didn't evolve using these 3 easy steps!'
Evolve good feets
Imagine if our ancient alien annunaki overlords were just trying to speedrun a species into dominance like this for kicks. *grey alien hits a blunt* "We're going to keep the flagella in cell stage so they have incisors in animal stage and keep molars for tribal stage to let them retain omnivore status and be hunter gatherers in tribal, huehuehue"
This game is my childhood! I have so many memories and creations with this game. Your gameplay was entertaining and made me want to re experience this game again
I've never actually seen the end cutscene for Spore before
Really cool, when you get to see something like this when it’s considered a very old game
13 seconds in and Im already amazed that you posted this with commentary and analysis, it makes it really entertaining to watch even an hour long video. Awesome content man
I don't know how I ended up watching a speed run of a game I've never heard of, but it was great.
damn, this game is amazing lmao
It's a must play.
How have you not heard abt this lol
Really nice commentary! watched until the end because of the fun and deep analysis of the game.
I watched the whole video, and I gotta say amazing commentary! Wish more speedrunners did that. You did a great job of explaining all the mechanics, gimmicks and strats.
Spore is my favorite game, and I love how smoothly you did the voiceover
Awesome video, at the start I was just asking myself “how do you speed run spore?!” To “ omg he’s speed running spore”. Can’t wait to see more vids from you :D
this was a very well put together deep dive into the game
Can we talk about how funny it is with him talking deadpan while talking about tactically killing babys for maximum benefit lol
I loved this game when I was little when it came out, seeing all the new creations online was so cool to 7 year old me. Can't believe that was 13 years ago. Really like the commentary, super nice to listen to after a long day! Good job buddy
Man, Spore was a good time. Thanks for sharing this. Much nostalgia.
This is something you watch at 4 in the morning
Never played nor heard of the game, but found it extremely entertaining, keep it up!
this is incredible! i got nostalgic and looked up spore after not thinking about it for years. i never got past the tribal stage as a kid because it stressed me out too much. i never knew it got so complicated!
Love the commentary, I learned so much even after owning the game for so long and it was genuinely exciting
This almost looks like a discovery channel documentary, lol. Really entertaining, good job
This is the most chill speedrun I've seen
Watching too many dream speedruns?
@@ghostlyflamingo07 nah, mostly halo, which has crazy fast speed runs. Like they beat an entire campaign in the time it takes me to do like 1 or 2 missions
Amazing commentary, kept me watching until the end
"hey you know that bacteria we found on that one planet an hour ago?"
"yea?"
"well it's currently heading towards the centre pf the galaxy with a ship on drugs"
Great speedrun and commentary! I played this so much in 2008. It is still one of my favourite games of all times, despite its flaws. Will Wright has a great mind for making really interesting games.
I never watch an aggressive Spore playthrough like this before, it's actually fun to watch
