jesus christ i am never gonna complain about labor charges. this is so much work and that is still when you know what you are doing. you made this look easy.
You should see how much work it is just to change the sparkplugs on these vehicles. I still plan on doing this fix myself but I'm not looking foward to it. Def gonna soak every bolt involved in pb blaster for a few hours b4 I touch anything.
Just want to ask. Is the lower arm for prius gen 3 similar with lower arm alphard? Some suppliers said they its same and some said different. Just want confirmation. Asking because alphard lower arm cheaper than the prius lower arm.
I see no reason I can't use a Rav4 control arm, Highlander maybe Rav4 strut to get the geometry needed for a lift without subframe spacers... It's a curious thing how people will design "lifts" for these platforms with all manner of spacers, but no one tries to mix and match parts. I got extra tire clearance out of my Sienna AWD on a highlander strut, and a very slight lift, and slightly stiffer front springs. It isn't a *huge* difference, but allows for larger tires without rubbing. I'm not sure about the diameter of the spring perch, Prius are tight there. I need to get a bunch of knuckle assemblies together and test what's what. But sure would be nice to have solved the alleged "max" lift with just a different control arm to keep everything lined up. I think it'd be the Rav4 arm, maybe the longer Sienna or Highlander strut, but it depends on the knuckles. You guys should look into getting off the shelf uniballs like the ones Moog has for some applications, and many cars including yotas use as knuckle bushings-- and sell upgraded LCAs with a knuckle bushing in the front position (won't bind like poly would) and a fat SPC or Moog or some other OEM rear vertical bushing. Would make a HUGE difference in slop. These cars are so numb to steer, I don't think any of us would complain about a little more steering feedback.

Very helpful! I appreciate all of your 3rd Gen Prius videos very much!
torque specs for engine mount bolts? or is it until tight (only by feel)?
Just remove the oil filter housing instead of jacking up the motor.
Does 2016 Prius have same procedure?
Excellent well explained..👏
do you have video for gen4/2016 Prius?
Same process if do it on the ground??
Thank you 👍

silent blocs bolts have to be twisted when spring is under normal car load...otherwise silentblocks would be gone in shortest time!
+Jonas Zikus Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team. 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Will be any balancing problems if we only change one side?
Giant bolts that hokd it together are a pain holy smoke
how much is the workmanship? if i bring a parts...
Thanks! 🙏
+@ForOurGood Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
What about the engine bolts on a PRIUS V?
Perfect thanks.

Do you need a wheel alignment?
+Ride Share Biz Thanks for watching! Yes, you will want to get a front-end alignment done after replacing this part.
Dude you replaced the control arm I can see that bolt joint is not good as well , why not replace it now. That you have it all taken apart . ?
Damn, this took zero time on my Kia Soul.
