You forgot to tell people to check behind there bumper before drilling that there are no obstructions such as metal body parts or even other cables Always Check first Before drilling any holes.
Thanks. I just installed the beeper-only version of the same system. Your video makes it clear just how much you will probably need to disassemble the car to do the job properly. My back is still sore!
Brilliant tutorial, I lost the wiring instruction with my sensor kit ( was unsure of the red/black combo on the wiring) and never realised that power went to the reverse light with just the key turned ( I had no idea what wires were what in my kangoo van, turns out the pink wire was the one I was after and just soldered the ground to a washer and linked to an earth bolt ).
Would I not be better to mount the screen on back windscreen? Then you can turn around when reversing and also see it in rear view mirror, best of both worlds.
Hello, I purchased a unit same as yours pictured in the install. I would like to know if yours still work since being installed or are you having problems with it? Really don't want to ruin my bumper if the system is not worth it. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks in advance.
so the red wire of the sensor device goes to the positive wire of the back light, I want to know if the black wire goes to the ground or the chassis of the car or does it go to the negative wire of the back light?
Step 2 use white sensors on white cars step 3 use washing up liquid to ease the stress on the sensor rubbers when pushed in. step 4 use the lines on the bumper to mark the height of the sensors.
@@TheAutoDIYGuy No problem, I've fitting parking sensors on 100s of car's I've made afew mistakes but now I'm as good as they get as you can see from my videos :).
hey man, I remember you commented on another video that bumpers will have markings on them out of factory as to where parking sensors should go, is that on the inside of them? Like do I have to take the bumper off to tell where that is?
James RL you can put the probe by the actual adapter.. At the point where the wire goes into the reverse light...so in that way, you won't have to strip the wire.
David Ramirez unfortunately not lol... But the speaker of it is on the device which shows the distance. So if you put it in the back, then it might be a bit less annoying.
James RL there are 2 wires coming from your reverse light: one that gets 12V only when you put the car into reverse gear, and the other is the negative. And yes, you can just wrap the wire around the next one, but I prefer to have a strong connection with solder. :) good luck!

Great point! Pinning this comment.

thank you!
keep the videos coming, you will make money and help people at the same time.

nicely done! I'm glad I could've helped in some way
great info, great job VIDEO EDIT was fantastic BUDDY
Your vids keep getting better and better
Great video, Thank you!

You can do that, but the reason I opted to mount it where I mounted it is because it would be upside down if I mounted it in the back 🙃😅
Great video - informative and fun. Perfect for people with a short attention.... er... something... what was I saying?
Aja and what about the color , you couldn't buy those sensors on white color?
Good job bro. Very nicely done 👍
Very nice 👍 video. Thanks
That's so cool, you make auto stuff look so easy!!!

SHERRY LALLA hi, yep it's still working perfectly fine. Best of luck!
Very good
How did you connect the negative connection?
so the red wire of the sensor device goes to the positive wire of the back light, I want to know if the black wire goes to the ground or the chassis of the car or does it go to the negative wire of the back light?
J English you should connect it to chassis
Nice antics
My boy Paul yes
Great job 😎

car audio solutions Ahhhh thank you. You're absolutely right. 😅

Great job man
Do i need to rust proof the holes first before i insert the parking sensors?
If your bumper is plastic like mine, then no, you just have to drill.
Can I see electrical tape instead of heat shrink or soldering the connection? Thanks.
Winson Yu yes you can. I just prefer to use heatshrink tubing and solder to make a stronger and more secure connection :)
+The Auto DIY Guy It shouldn't affect the connection though right? Thanks for replying!
Winson Yu once you make sure and twist enough copper in the wires together, and use sufficient electrical tape, you should be golden :)
Are you from Trinidad?
yes sir! :-)
great job bro
thanks bro! means a lot!
How do I test the reverse light with multimeter? do i have to strip the wire first?
James RL you can put the probe by the actual adapter.. At the point where the wire goes into the reverse light...so in that way, you won't have to strip the wire.
How do you know which is the negative reverse light wire? Is it just black? Great vid BTW!
Where’s the main unit to connect power cables to?
is there a way to lower the volume of the sensors?
David Ramirez unfortunately not lol... But the speaker of it is on the device which shows the distance. So if you put it in the back, then it might be a bit less annoying.
I found reverse wire and when j connect no sign of beeping when connected. plz help. I have not installed as yet. but checked the wiring.
sam did you connect the black wire to a grounded part of the car? Also, did you put the car in reverse gear?
👍👍
Can I install this into my screen so I can see the sensors on the gps nav systems
Puro Blanco that would be cool, but unfortunately not with this kit. :(
The Auto DIY Guy do you recommend a kit that does the same
Puro Blanco unfortunately not that I know of. If I see one, I'll let you know
Looks easy but would have looked better if you had fitted a white kit on a white car
haha yea...I'll just have to paint them I guess :p
There cheap though and easy too fit I would of thourt they would cost a lot more , I'm going to put some on my car good clip by the way
Incorrect..
Incorrect incorrect incorrect
STEP 1 check where the slam/crash panel is behind the bumper.
trini to the bone lol Gran Couva in the house where you from bro
lolzzz Diego Martin dawgyyyy
The Auto DIY Guy keep up the good work great high quality videos
Knew he sounded like a Trinidadian, big up Couva lol
Lol
Wow how shit can you be. Want them done go to GOCO Parking Sensors.
also how do I know which of the wires is the negative one, and can I just wrap the wire around the other without soldering?
