You should install this on your rx350 and mount the beeping screen on top of your rear view mirror I’ve driven one with the same setup it was good and you can install front sensors too then it will feel like a higher trim
I'm an installer also and I have to say this was an excellent video from your installation technique to to your explanation of the product itself the only thing I might have done different is mout the display indicator to the rearview mirror but that's just a preference I do have one question about the quality of the sensors themselves and that is do they look like they can be painted to match the color of the bumper cover without causing any damage or hindering the performance
Very good that it has actually tells u the distance. I work valet and i dont think any car tells u the distance with a number. They just show lines or bars.
So you Just connect the 12 Volt Power Wire with the reverse one and it gets the power from it, and the other Ground power wire with some piece of metal ?
the secret to a good install i.e. the actually work correctly are the angle adjusters that come with the sensors my limited research on the UA-cams has told me. If you bumper is pretty vertical it may be ok but most are not hence the need to adjust the sensors - you can't just install them at the point on the bumper where is mostly vertical I believe. Not sure if that helps and the OEM Bosch kit is about 250E here in Germany on eBay I believe - this is the hardware that will be used by most german car manufactures so probably works well - but hell if you can get a $20 kit to work then I say go for it - my shitty $30 backup camera does a good job so that may be an easier option.
Liked the demo. The only thing I would have added would be...you know how the shoppers race out of the store with kids in strollers - even when your already backing. Well, I wish you could have shown yourself walking at a pretty good clip, two or three foot behind the vehicle while in reverse. That would really demo how sensitive it picks up a moving pedestrian, child, or pet. Maybe you could ad that on another video. Thank you.
Would installing rear parking sensors overload the reverse circuit, considering that some vehicles already have a backup camera or an aftermarket camera installed?
Quick tip: instead of stripping the wire and soldering, simply use a quick splice wire connector or a T-tap wire connectors. Piece of cake - takes a few seconds, looks neat, easy to disconnect, cheap - no wonder some parking sensor kits contain one of these.
There are a lot of people who have mounted it on the ceiling panel upholstery of the car so when they look back to reverse it gives them the signal there
Is it possible to remove the audio beeps and just the visual screen? How about is it possible to change the default longest distance from 2.2m to 0.8m?
How do you install the sensors on the front?I mean you connected the wire to the brake light .Suppose I want to instal the sensor on the front bumper ,where to connect the power wire?
I intall the 8 Sensors parking (front and back) for 36 Euros, and it work really well - toyota verso 2016 -. But on that car - toyota verso - you have to take a long moment to put it on. It's necessary to put down the bumper and all inside left protection ouh!! just be patient and cool. but after it's easy too connect it when all wires in place
Thank you. Loved how you speak, explain and demonstrate, you're a good teacher. Very informative. Now I am not so naive of how it works, though I don't plan on doing it myself 🤣 Wish I could hire you to do mine.
Let's say I install a couple of these things in my front bumper; how would I make use of the front ones? I suppose I would have to route the wires to the _Drive_ function; hopefully it won't beep above a certain speed.
You sound like Jeff from the animated series American Dad, lol. Great review by the way, we get the same in India but it costs about 15$ and not 10$. Still, a steal deal at the price.
so the red wire goes to the positive wire of the back light and the black wire goes to the ground or the chassis of the car, can i also connect it to the negative wire of the back light instead of the ground?
I want to install this on the front bumper but want to see what's involved first. Would you please post a scan of that part of the installation manual? Thanks
Good video ! But I already do it much simple : I took it one siren ( from alarm). And connected wires to revers wires. So when I put in reverse it's bip bip ... P.S. So anyone run away! hahaha
to fit the provided hole saw, which size of a driller do I need? I mean, I have to put the bit of the saw into the driller. So, I need to know which size of the driller should I buy?
do we have to connect it to the speaker of the sound system or there is a seperate buzzer inside the display because im having the same sensor which is to be connected ...so do let me know
so I really am interested in this, but I am not too keen on the LED display. It will clash with my interior. Can I mount the display maybe on the rear deck and still be able to hear the audible alerts??
Q: Has anyone installed aftermarket sensors (4 sensor type) onto the FRONT of the car? Wondering how to cut power to control box (automatically) say at speeds above 10mph.
Thanks for the video, the installation looks straightforward, I 've got a 4x4 vehicle, it's got a spare wheel at the back of the vehicle, how good is the parking sensors?
Has anyone hooked it up to a display ? I wanna do the same and just have sensors on my back camera regardless. But I wanted to know if anyone had tied to turn that sound down and or change the board it’s self to change the sound
my 2003 rav 4 came with it but it got damaged. it's located at the left and right gray bumper. i bought one but I don't know where to put the four. do you think I can just install 2?
I'd use a switch, that I don't normally or rarely use, like a front fog lamp to activate the front sensors. Or even better if you install a switch for it and name it as the parking sensor switch.
How do you have it in reverse but it's not moving? Is the e-brake strong enough to hold it? I have a manual so I'm not sure how I could test this without a helper.
Love your video. How can we make the sensors pick up and beep...oh, let's say, about 8 to 12 feet away? Can these sensors do that, if not, what does one have to do to the gadget to make it happen, or does one have to buy a different and more powerful sensor? What do you recommend?
Was just in that van the other day and used it to park on the street. Works good so far. Hasent seen snow or salt yet so we will see how it does this winter.
I have one question since I've thought about buying this sensor for my car. I am wondering if I can actually paint these 4 sensor on rear bumper so it matches the color of my car and therefore doesn't look like it's been placed but rather like it was factory made. Everyone commenting how he says man a lot... Not about how amazingly helpful this video was.
Yeah, man.
You should install this on your rx350 and mount the beeping screen on top of your rear view mirror I’ve driven one with the same setup it was good and you can install front sensors too then it will feel like a higher trim
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this video- I've just received my sensors and this has been massively helpful and detailed!

It's been four years. I guess will never know.
7 years now guess we’re still waiting 😅😂
Very good that it has actually tells u the distance. I work valet and i dont think any car tells u the distance with a number. They just show lines or bars.
man enough saying man all the time man
Great and understandable description, but I think the most difficult for DIY is to wiring the sensors to inside the bumper/ car interior.
Man that's really great for 10 bucks I just bought one from Amazon I think I paid $32 for it haven't hooked it up yet but like the way you hook it up
You said tap red to brake light? i thought it should be reverse light.
For power hes using brake light
Yes, connect it to the reverse ofc
@@scottishlad6490 no it should be connected to reverse light for power.. U only need it on when you're reversing..
I think he connected to reverse light..

Instruction was unclear got my car flipped over.
PC Gameplay HD what a shame
Sucks just reverse the instructions u did for right side up car
Did I answer all ur questions in a timely matter ?
My car exploded what are you talking about

Did you try turning off and on again?

You’re so high energy lol I love it
Very good - simplified instructions : I just got a digitru reverse parking sensor -- This helps a lot. Thanks.
Not sure why, but it's really nice to listen to you explaining shit. Thanks for the great review and installation tips.

You'd have to be up the arse of the car in front for these to go off whilst driving...LOL... Just wire them up to the cigar lighter socket..
Nice video, that sound would drive me nuts
Really good instructions, but is there a way to add turn on & off switching
Cut the + wire from the power and add a switch between

I'm wondering if you put 2 sensors at the rear activated by the reverse, how could you activate 2 sensors installed on the front ?
You don't. You go on eBay and by a "8 sensors parking kit", so you have 4 front, 4 back. They are 1,5x as expensive, but made for that purpose.
Great vid, now I feel confident to do a install on my old saab 900 :)

Nice video thanks, it starts beeping as you mentioned from 1 ft away, Any sensors available starts beeping from about 4 feet distance
Very cool! I'd be afraid to drill in my new cars bumper though. Maybe in our older ride.
Im sure youd rather drill it than reverse into sonething causing damage
Where is the beeper in this thing. Is it in the LED display or in the control box?
You can buy it without the LED display & just a beeper on ebay... not much difference in the price

How long are the wires to install it in a 2017 toyota Tacoma? Thanks
Hello, I have opened the black box.and it has some potentiometers inside forA B C D. do you know what are the for?
Manosspan1 - Potentiometers A, B, C and D are to fine tune the sensitivity of each sensor.
After some search, I dont think these are potentiometers. Look this article here www.candrian.gr/index.php/category/electronics/
i liked it buddy...! you did a grt job in explaining it.
Hi- i need to extend 2 senors about 3 feet each. What guage wire do you recommend? Ty
Use the same one as it is
Great Tutorial!! Did you purchase it from Amazon or Ebay? Thanks!
Do we have to install the little display?? I really dont want to. I just wanna hear the beeping from module.
Pretty sure the beeping comes from the display - I guess you could tuck it under your seat or something if you really didn't like it.
great diy video and even better with the range testing.
hi. great vid . what are those sensors?. . infra red?..or what?...
Ultrasonic
Great vid and thanks from north Wales UK
Thank you my friend. You made it look very easy. and it is.
Super video I congratulate you, a very clear language.
Looks like the readout is metric. Can it be changed to feet?
Learn metric, man, feet is backward.
Do you think this will work for my 4 door truck? Like the length of the wire??
Hi, silly question... can I test them right out of the box just by connecting the wire directly into the + and - in the car´s battery?, thanks.
Yep you should be able to test it like this
Can I see electrical tape instead of heat shrink or soldering the connection? Thanks.
Winson Yu yes you can use electrical tape, you can use anything that is fire resistant and will stop the current from becoming a hazard
Can you used this one for low front bumper on parking curves
Same thing I want to know they are hell on hondas

Great stuff but I have one question - can U turn off the sound or decrase it know what I mean man!? Thumbs up !!
Hrvoje Kotnik on this model there is no way to change the volume no
Thnx.
There should be on the lcd display, there is a round thing in the back
speaker is behind the display, you can always disassemble it and stick a resistor/potensiometer on his line
Put a piece of thick insulating tape over the hole in the beeper.
So I connect the red wire with the reverse wire but what about the black wire? I just leave it be or I need to connect it to anything?
Rodolfo Abreu ground to any metal part of the car

Do you have to use the heat shrinkage part or will it still work just from being wound up ?
It should work with just electrical tape
How long did they last?

+supercooled yep I used the ebreak
you don't need to switch on your vehicle's engine to have the reverse light to switch on you know. that's where the power is tapped from. good luck!
pvn1995 Didn't realize that. I'll have to try it out and confirm what you're saying.
🤦🏻♂️ turn the ignition to On and put car in reverse. Obviously don't crank the car. It's not hard to figure out.
Question; what if I want to install this but only wanna use 2 sensors? Will the system work with only 2 hooked up sensors?

Do you think painting over the sensors would affect the performance of them?
Yes ofc
Nice Video Sir. I have this exact same system, how to put this to the front?
Very nice. But where do you connect the power?
Power comes from the line that feeds the reverse light. Once you put the car in reverse, the sensor unit powers up.
🤦🏻♂️
Hi guys
Any idea how connect the front parking sensors ??
What colour of 'positive' wire reverse lamp?
How to lower the volume on these?
how did those sensors do behind the number plate ?
