    You should install this on your rx350 and mount the beeping screen on top of your rear view mirror I’ve driven one with the same setup it was good and you can install front sensors too then it will feel like a higher trim

    I'm an installer also and I have to say this was an excellent video from your installation technique to to your explanation of the product itself the only thing I might have done different is mout the display indicator to the rearview mirror but that's just a preference I do have one question about the quality of the sensors themselves and that is do they look like they can be painted to match the color of the bumper cover without causing any damage or hindering the performance

    the secret to a good install i.e. the actually work correctly are the angle adjusters that come with the sensors my limited research on the UA-cams has told me. If you bumper is pretty vertical it may be ok but most are not hence the need to adjust the sensors - you can't just install them at the point on the bumper where is mostly vertical I believe. Not sure if that helps and the OEM Bosch kit is about 250E here in Germany on eBay I believe - this is the hardware that will be used by most german car manufactures so probably works well - but hell if you can get a $20 kit to work then I say go for it - my shitty $30 backup camera does a good job so that may be an easier option.

    Liked the demo. The only thing I would have added would be...you know how the shoppers race out of the store with kids in strollers - even when your already backing. Well, I wish you could have shown yourself walking at a pretty good clip, two or three foot behind the vehicle while in reverse. That would really demo how sensitive it picks up a moving pedestrian, child, or pet. Maybe you could ad that on another video. Thank you.

    Would installing rear parking sensors overload the reverse circuit, considering that some vehicles already have a backup camera or an aftermarket camera installed?

  • @maxp918
    @maxp918 2 роки тому

    Quick tip: instead of stripping the wire and soldering, simply use a quick splice wire connector or a T-tap wire connectors.
    Piece of cake - takes a few seconds, looks neat, easy to disconnect, cheap - no wonder some parking sensor kits contain one of these.

      Power comes from the line that feeds the reverse light. Once you put the car in reverse, the sensor unit powers up.

    I have one question since I've thought about buying this sensor for my car.
    I am wondering if I can actually paint these 4 sensor on rear bumper so it matches the color of my car and therefore doesn't look like it's been placed but rather like it was factory made. I wonder if I do paint those 4 sensor with paint my guess is it might interfere with the sensors itself where it may have trouble picking signals from object due to paint being over the sensors.
    Could this happen, or should I not worry about it and go ahead and paint them over ???

      I spray painted mine to match and no issues. I did primer, paint and then clear coat and no issue. Just don't go heavy.

      +Tariq Shahzad Rana Haha good effort with the English :) I hear to install the sensors between 20 inches and 27 inches (~50cm-68cm probably you dont use inches) above the ground to avoid any of that issue.

    I Bougt and installed pdc sensors from ebay on my 99' BMW e46, at the begining they worked fine, but I had to maket switch for front ones as they are activated by brake light and on some bumps they were beeping. Some time passed and everything seemed really fine, they even came in silver and blended with bmw's silver paint really well. But for last few months they started to misbehave very badly, beeping all the time, I checked all the wiring, everything but nothing helps... anyway I ordered another kit same as mine to try and replace module or sensors, to check whats wrong... maybe someone has some sugestions? Tnx
