I’m not sure how you make time for your side hustle but I would not have guessed that you were a pilot. What a great job to test out travel bags. The Errant is too ‘complicated’ for my needs, however I was curious about it. Goruck has gradually squeezed most brands out of my accumulation but I’m having trouble justifying 7 Bullets, even to myself. The good thing is they don’t take up too much space. Thanks for another great video, I’m pretty sure that if there was a survey you’d be at the top of the heap.
Thanks!! I appreciate you comments each time. The comments are a favorite part of the process. Finding the time can be challenging for both parts! I agree with the complicated part. I’m going to give it a good try and see what happens.
Those lash straps you had at the start can attach to the lash points on the bottom of the errant for carrying a second tripod or other gear in the same way as with the built in straps on the pro
I have the new Obsidian Black Errant Pro, an older Errant, and just received the updated regular Errant in X-Pac. The center strip of hypalon feels and looks so much more durable on the updated Errant than the new Errant Pro. The new hypalon has a matte finish, is slightly rough textured, and doesn't appear like it'll easily scratch like the Errant Pro and older Errant packs. With the updated Errant I would have no problem lying face down on all sorts of surfaces to access my camera gear, but not so much with the Errant Pro. I feel the Errant Pro's hypalon center will easily scratch on rough outdoor surfaces so I really wish they used the same material on it, especially considering the much higher price.
@@JBOutside1 I will take the olive one. How can I reach out to you? Also do you have any photo accessories like the MK-1 LT Camera Pack or extra straps?
I wasn’t overly impressed with the Errant Pro. Like the love child of an Errant and a Prima. The regular Errant is hands down one of my favorite EDC bags.
Great video! Question for you, I see how wide each backpack is but sometimes I have to carry some binders for my work. Do you think these are wide enough to carry a binder or two comfortably?
I have both as well, I thought the same with the lock, but the lock will lock your laptop side, so your tech stuff is secure. That might have been the intent, not sure. End of day, if someone wants in, they will get in.
@@JBOutside1 also, the strap keeper on the back can be used as a luggage pass through. I've done that many times, works great. Also, on the Errant the strap page for holding a larger bottle or tripod has some room in it, i tuck in a nano tote... There if I need it taking up no extra space.
@@JBOutside1 yeah wish they had sent you a prototype as you got some good thoughts that could just make the errant pro a tad better. But BS has never been good to take feedback
The premium divider wall doesn’t sit flush in the errant pro! I have it and apparently it wasn’t cut correctly, so they’re supposed to be redone and you can issue a warranty exchange. At least that’s what they told me when I reached out about mine
So I do really like them. I recently received the black version of the Pro. I plan to use that for travel this month and do an update. In the meantime I've listed the Errant and Errant Pro in Olive for sale. I don't think I'll use them.

Bid reserve and you’ll have a lot of free time as a pilot. 😉
@@scuba5k Haha, oh the reserve life! 😜
Great video, really struggling between these two. Both really attract me. Thanks again for the detailed side-by-side overview.
Happy to help! Send me a direct message if you're really interested. I am letting these go...along with a black Pro.
Still waiting on my Errant X-Pac, hope they ship soon to a European retailer.
Yeah, the x-pac looks awesome. Hope it shows up soon!
Thank you for your videos , really calm and enjoying to watch
Thanks you Sebastian! Thanks for watching!
What if I wanted to watch 45 minutes on the Errant Pro? 🥺
Haha...maybe next time!

Yes! 👊🏻
Really helpful video… all the little things really matter. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video like usual! Briefly considered an Errant, but now I might have to look into one again!
Awesome! Thanks! They’re both pretty cool!
It’s my favorite bag
Hi, you can actually use the straps you showed at about 3:20 with Errant to attach second tripod to the bottom.
Nice! Thank you! I’ll give that a go

Oh wow. I’ll need to check that out.
I'd like to see a comparison of the Errant Pro and Prima.
I'll add that to the list...I don't currently have a Prima
Hi thanks for the review! Did these love these bags. By chance are either still for sale? Looked but couldn’t find. Thanks
Yes. Both for sale. Plus a black Pro version.

Yes, they’ll fit. Just not a HUGE binder

Helpful ! Thanks
You're welcome!
So do you prefer these over the GoRuck packs?
GORUCK is closest to my heart but this makes it tough!
Would either of these fit under a seat as a personal item? If not, what would you recommend that is as close to these as possible?
Either would fit under a seat on an airplane.
I have some for sale too
@@JBOutside1 do you have the Xpac errant pro for sale?
@@rubelukeable sorry, no. Just the standard ones
Any chance some of the errants are still for sale?
Thos is awesome.
Waiting for the xpac version. A bit shame that the weight is over 4 lb
It is a bit heavy...but still very awesome

Any idea what the pass-though hole with Velcro from the front “magazine” pocket to the main compartment is for?
Charging cable?

Did you try fitting the premium divider wall yet? See my previous comment…curious to see if you have issues as well
If something discontinues at all, then that company is considered not worth a fuck.
🤔
I really wish the Errant was just a little bigger. But, I feel that way about virtually every bag as im 6'6" and hefty.
