I order some old parts from Steiner Tractor Parts, Inc., Lennon, Michigan. Matter of fact, my grandfather owned an Allis Chalmers dealership in the 1930s and 1940s in Lennon. We ran all John Deere, but in 1965 we bought a front drive assist 1950 Oliver Detroit Diesel and pulled a 8/16 plow. Nice video.
Hi you all. I love your video,s. I love how you still farm with the old rwo cylinder John deere,s. I grew up on the farm on. Two cylinder,s. I ve got a 1953 jd 70 gas.. keep on video ingredient. You and your family are gard worker,s.
Well, George is 6! Maybe he will be a tractor encyclopedia like you someday from being around it so early? Their dad buys them original parts books and service manuals for trucks, tractors, engines and equipment. Not much better schooling than that.
It was.about 1966 dad traded for a 70 just like you showed. (On gas) I cultivated milo on that tractor. 4 row mounted cultivator. In 1965 dad bougjt a new.4020 on diesel. I now own a 1954 70 on gas swartz wide front. I also own a 1962 4010 standard on diesel , with a loader. Couple yrs ago i bought a 1967 4020 row crop standard on diesel. I'm putting the loader back on that tractor. None of these are the tractors dad bought.
Our son is claiming most of the tractors as his, now the youngest is also. They want h did the same with the pickup trucks. We won't have any to tell in our old age with 4 boys with the same interests.
I have my dad's 70 diesel. It's next on my list. Everything just costs so much more now. Those Firestone Field and Road tires are $1200 now and for a couple of years were not even available.

Yes we have been getting good used tires off marketplace but not much brand new.
I thought how wonderful that George has his own work bench for his height.
Thanks, that was his request at Christmas. A man at an early age.
Nothing better :-)
Also, sounds like you need to either replace the clutch slider, driver or both.
Good call!
You guys are to blessed to be stressed!
Thats a great saying, gonna use that!
Cool to see all the family taking care of these old boys.
