As a donor to this project, I can only say thank you. My $20 has been returned back to me 100 fold. When I saw this video posted, I went out to my beer fridge and grabbed the fanciest beer I had to celebrate this amazing journey. Congrats Pete. You are amazing.
My only regret watching this video is that I could only give you 1 thumbs up. Watching you like a kid on Christmas when that started up was great, and watching your dad take it for a spin was very touching. Keep up the great work. You are my favorite channel on UA-cam.
Exact same feeling: I wished I could give it a 100 likes. My jaw hit the floor when the engine actually started - so many parts, so much work, and it starts the first time! Dumbfounded! Amazing and inspirational stuff.
What a day! Proud Papa and rightly so. Brave to do today what you did. Pete thank you for letting me tag along. You Sir are skilled and I really appreciate your attention to detail . Looking forward to seeing the rest of the rebuild.
There is a special combination of excitement and pride when fire off a rebuild. Your father and Henry were so involved and the smile on your dad's face probably blinded all the heifers! CONGRATULATIONS! I will wait (not very happily) for the grand finale!
Wow, I'm in love! See, you know how to fix it, I wouldn't have a clue. Just gorgeous, makes me appreciate my grandfather's farm even more, as I'm sure he had one of these.
I find it really amazing and great that thousands of people watch Pete fix his old equipment and farm his land without selling out to/like bigger farms and keeping it traditional like he grew up on
I watched this and went back to watch your dad drive it again. I just realized that I was smiling the entire time. Congratulations for a job well done and thanks for posting for all of us to share in it!
What a fantastic job you and your Dad and henry did Pete. I hurt my ears from smiling to hard when she started up and when you took her for a ride. but nothing compares to the tears running down my face, when I saw your Dad driving the old girl. you are so lucky to have him arojund to see that. and better yet!? you have it on video to view for ever. like so many watching, I miss my Dad and not being able to have those moments anymore. Thank you Pete for giving me and so many that moment in time. God Speed.
I’m not a farmer or a mechanic but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this piece of history be brought back to life. Thank you and I look forward to the rest of the restoration.
as a 67yr old auto trk mech you did it with great meticulousness and great job there pete. dad looked proud. enjoyed the series and all vids. thanks for keeping us up to speed!!
It was great watching you rebuild this old iron this winter. I will be looking forward to you rebuilding the back half this next winter. . Congrats on a job well done.
Man, oh man! Am I ever glad she started up and ran perfectly. I am very happy for you, Pete. Nicely done! Looking forward to the second half of this project this coming winter. Cheers! Whipple.
Great job on the rebuild. I have to say that your video is very informative and I learn more Everytime I watch. I have farmed and restored tractors before but the MD has been a mystery to me. Watching you working on it has definitely shed some light on the subject and helped us find some parts to. For all those experts out there you talked of and "How it should be done" I Had a good laugh. They always know everything as a armchair mechanic. You walk the walk , they can talk the talk!. Thanks Pete and keep up the great work on the farm!
My wife and I watch your channel and have enjoyed watching the tractor rebuild . I was amazed at how interested my wife was . Great job was worth the wait . Looking forward to the next installment of how the tractor turns.
Congratulations Pete. It looks and sounds great. My dad had a Super M and a Super C when I was a kid. I was too small to run the M, but ran the C when I was 5 for the first time. I basically steered it straight down the field so he could pick up straw bales that had been run out on the ground. My older brother had to step on to make the turns at the end of the field. Love your channel. Brings back lots of memories from the 60's and 70's!! Thank you for the time you take to put these together.
That... right there, is one SWEET feeling... to have it bark to life, only a few minor tweaks needed, and to be driving it. Great stuff! Congrats Pete. And, seeing your dad enjoying it too, that's top shelf memories right there. Great series, looking forward to the next phase.
Beautiful ever since I first seen that big red tractor well worth the wait to hear it run an old family friend had one what a beauty start on gas switch it to diesel run it all day and switch it back and run the carb dry at shutoff
What a great project to work on with your dad. My dad died when I was 11 and have always wondered what it would be like to do projects with him....well now I know......the look on your dad's face says it all!
What a journey! I have never been so captivated by a mechanical rebuild and loved every minute of it! What an amazing series. Thank you for putting in the effort to share. Enjoy your rewards :)
Bravo Pete! There is nothing more satisfying than seeing months of careful work resulting in the press of a starter switch and a good running engine. You saved a really complicated piece of family history. You will be so happy cutting hay with this ol' gal......and to see your dad on it....! Fantastic. How someone could possibly give this video a thumbs down is beyond me. I would give it several more thumbs up beyond the one I gave. Thank you for taking us all on the rebuilding adventure with you!
I'm so impressed!! Your talent -perserverance and your Dad's smile ❤ the cost blows my mind - hopefully worth it - I think you accomplished something worthwhile - at least a couple somethings!! Congrats on the successful rebuild!
I'm no expert, but you obviously didn't know how much seeing this would make me smile...very impressive! You're knowledge, skill, and patience are over 9000!
This video, while LONG awaited, went exactly as I knew it would. I never had an ounce of doubt. Now I’ll PATIENTLY wait for the back half to be done. This has been an extremely enjoyable series of videos Pete. Really, really, good!
Thank you Pete for all your hard. Thank you everyone who donated money to help out. I'm not going to lie I started watching your videos in December when you started and I was sad that I couldnt find anymore videos of this tractor, I had to wait. I know the frustration of working on old equipment. Thank you for sticking with it! Even though the hard times and all the negative comments. I look up to you and thank you for all your little tips and tricks and of course all your jokes. I hope you have a wonderful day. I love to see the smiles !
Congratulations Peter. Quite an accomplishment. As an aspiring farmer, you and your family and your channel have taught me a lot! Great to see your dad operating the MD again. Priceless.
Congratulations !!! What a great success ... and a great project. You, my friend, are quite the mechanic! Thank you for taking us along on your journey. We enjoyed every minute of it and we look forward to the next season ! Many blessings to you and yours!
New subscriber....as a kid we had a 40 acre farm and used a 1932 small Ford tractor to plow the fields. Love these old tractors and watching them in use. Thanks for sharing!
As a girl who grew up farming, I can say I've loved watching you rebuild this tractor. It's looking and sounding really good and will be watching this winter when you get the back done........congrats :)
Nice to see the MD rolling on it's own power! Hope we'll see it working the fields this summer, otherwise it will be a long time before there is a MD video in our YT feed!
What a treat to see this done, when I was a young lad I worked on a couple farms here in Canada that had M style tractors. So seeing you rebuild this was fascinating. Your attention detail is amazing, great job.
I enjoyed all the videos yes I scrubbed through a few mins here and there. Interesting engine for sure. Looking forward to next year and doing the other half
WOW!!!! After months of hard work what a fabulous accomplishment. Your tractor sounds like a finally turned piano and runs like a million dollar machine. I know you must have gotten a ton of satisfaction from climbing this mountain, I even got some from watching it. I learned a lot. THANKS. I Love your channel.
Pete, we have watched you remove every nut bolt & washer, repair or renew, repaint. Then the assembly, now that was very interesting and in great detail. Then today, to see it all become a success story and your dad driving the old tractor, priceless.
Well done Pete, the look on your father's face makes it all worthwhile. Did I here you say run run run run run, when you first hit that starter button?
Congratulations, Pete! I can't tell you how interesting and satisfying it's been to watch this series - as a rule I enjoy all your videos, but this MD restoration has been riveting. I'll be eager to see inside that back half. Thanks for sharing the adventure with us!

Wow, been great following this rehab. Can’t wait till next winter (did I just say that?) to see the back half get done and the complete machine. It’s never going to be worth what you put into it, but the fact you are going to use it on your farm, makes it priceless.👍🏻
Congratulations Pete !!!! :-) I don't know too many people that has the knowledge to rebuild a tractor like this. It was amazing to watch you during the entire process. Can't wait to see the 2nd half next Winter! Take Care !
Watched the whole project from breakdown, repairs, cleaning, repaint and rebuild, really enjoyed it, have never really been mechanically minded but loved every minute, I was brought up on a small holding in Cornwall UK 1950's, we initially had a pair of working horses eventually we got a second hand Standard Fordson, started on petrol switched it over to TVO when it warmed up, I assume TVO stood for Tractor Vehicle Oil, their was no hydraulics or PTO, we to remove the the horse shafts of the equipment and attached a tow-hitch, all the machinery we had was driven from wheel gearings.
Any one else looking forward to next winter now ?

the work you have done is priceless seeing you your dad and son have videoes to look back at years to come thanks for shareing god bless
I knew you could do it, but the old MD back to life. The decision of splitting the repair for front and rear separate, was a wise move.
How exciting ! Good job Pete. It does look funny half restored though and it reminds me of my dad's WD9.
Good to hear that tractor run . Sounds good. I have watched all the videos on it's rebuild.
