To the people asking how it's been 5 years since the pbirdman mod playthrough: the UA-cam series was only two years ago, 5 years ago was when Dansg08 started testing it and helping with development.
Man, i can not express to you how excited I was to see a fresh series from you on 10. I've been itching for a play soon, this is definitely the motivator to get going! Can't wait for the rest of this series, every one you've put out so far is a joy

I didn't notice another comment point it out, but the reason Brotherhood wasn't eating up the nulshock is because it also has waterbringer, and in the mod multi element attacks are only nulled if all elements in the attack are nulled. Since Brotherhood still does water damage, it doesn't get nulled, and the nulshock isn't used up.
Fun fact it actually already work like that in the base game this is not a new feature, it's just that this is a situation you'll never encounter in the base game, same with how attack imbued with multiple element works, in the base game there was no real reason to do multi elemental weapon, in this mod it's good however cause many bosses have 2 elemental weakness (or even 4 in some cases), whereas in the base game only Geosgaeno and potentially Seymour Omnis (by manipulating his wheel) can have multiple elemental weakness.

Damn, that Tros fight was intense! I think it's really the first fight where you see a glimpse of what's in store for you in this mod. Kinda funny to see you scrambling to survive and ending up using all your items (I did more or less the same, too). I noticed it now drops 99 of the elemental items (I think in v1.0 it was only 80), that's cool.
Checked this out today, looks really interesting so far! I'll have to check this mod out myself, I love challenges in ff games because they add so much to games that I think are really well designed and pushes you to try things that normally you never even have to look at.

For the first time I played a mod before Dansg, which I usually find YOU playing a mod for me to discover. Even if I just finished my main story play through I’m still gonna watch yours to see how you deal with the puzzle bosses.
Very interesting mod. It seems to be more of a combat puzzle with several solutions (some being better than others) to each encounter with some elements of RNG. It seems at first there is a bit of throttling what kind of strategies you can use, but as you progress, surely it will open up to more viable ways of tackling each encounter. Looking forward to seeing more.
that was interesting how in the Lulu Magic tutorial, the game gave Wakka the "Avenger" overdrive type when Tidus died as if Wakka is in the battle - despite him not having any turns. However, at literally the same time when Tidus dies, the game gave Lulu "Avenger" and "Loner" - it decided Lulu as being in the fight alone even though it just gave Wakka avenger.

OD reset is a neat idea - OD's were ridiculously abuse-able. *cough attack reels, cough mix, cough* so having to work for them a little bit, all for it.

I guess you weren't paying too much attention to NPC dialog but the girl was saying "My dog won't dig up anything for a while", which tells you that there's no Energy Blast here but maybe it will show up post-airship.
The cutscene remover is such a great tool for FFX. Makes it much more enjoyable to do playthroughs while working 50-60 hour weeks. I can actually sit down and finish the game in a single session instead of needing to stretch it to multiple weekends.

That early battle with Auron slaughtering Sinscales with counterattacks was incredibly badass. Overall, this mod looks interesting. But I might change my mind later on.
I think adding a way to change overdrive mode mid-battle like weapon or armour would be nice. Still cost some delay, but allow you to make changes a little more fluidly in battle (and maybe not have players resetting entirely because they went into the battle with the wrong mode)
In the elemental (advanced) window it says Nul will only absorb if all elements that are hitting have a nul. So Tidus' weapon doesnt eat the nul because there is still water damage going through.
This happens if you're not playing on English I think. I made an entry in the FAQ section of the README for this. Sadly the mod only works in English, and you will need to start the playthrough anew entirely as well since the modded starting stats etc. are also only applied if you start a New Game on English.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, have you tried the mod loader? If you look in the instructions of how to download, there should be a link to another mod that helps load it properly.

Sorry if this makes me seem like a total noob, but what was the point of changing weapons (when Tidus only had one weapon) before defending against Click? Does it manipulate the CTB system in the player's favor?
Switching weapons/armor is twice as fast of an action as defending, so he gets much more turns and thus overdrive charge from Loner - if defending would give him his next turn before Klikk attacks, it's simply a waste compared to switching weapon twice and getting twice the overdrive charge as a result. The technical terminology to put this is that it's a Rank 1 action, the fastest possible action to make, while Defend/Item is a Rank 2 action, and a regular attack for example is a Rank 3 action.

Was pincer attack disabled or something? The Tros fight seemed pretty bruteforced (unlike the battle against Klikk which had a nice flow to it).
