Thank you so much for this video! It opened my mind about my TWO bass station II, now I know exactly how they work. Priceless video! Added to my favorites. With ❤from Italy!
Very good! I'm glad it helped! One knob a time the way I learned was imagining what turning the knob will do , eventually it will be like extremely easy
@@RonCavagnaro definatly. On the first watch i thought id never get it but it all comes together when you watch it over and over again. Great tutorial!!
Thanks so much! How do I control the wave curve? Or in other words the rate of the waveform? sometimes I want the timbre to stay in a way but there is a variation between the low and the high. I still don't understand how to keep the wave with a timbre type only.
@@RonCavagnaro Your review is perfect, thank you! I learned basically everything from your video. I had a little trouble because my English is not excellent. I'll try to explain. I created a patch, but it turns out that there is an automatic oscillation in the tone, I believe it is related to the filter. I still don't know how to maintain the tone without this oscillation. I believe it may be something that I have not yet learned at LFO 1.
good tutorial mate, must of the other tutorials, take to much time for each topic, u did it in perfect timming, thanks!. Have you tried aphex twins update? tutorial for that meaby? following you now :)
I appreciate the video thank you! Thought I could learn it pretty quickly but damn this unit is owning me. I'll turn a knob, it warps it, I'll try to turn it back and can't get the sound back 😭 to the point where I'll lose the sound completely and end up with a distorted click sound or something, lol. End up turning it off then back on. Keep thinking I have a faulty unit but I just need to understand it better. Will be watching your video many times lol
This is where I get stuck too! I also reckon I have to turn off and on again as something appears to get stuck! Love how you're gone through the until sequentially. Perhaps I need a few tips starting form the very far left i.e. how to initialise or save something to start from a blank canvass.
I've reproduced the OP's problem which is also mine. It happens once you get to the Mod Env depth part and start playing around with the Mod env ADSR. All good until you try and make the release work, which involves going back to teh Amp env and nudging up the release. Then back to the Mod env for the release...and suddenly you just get a clink sound. Attempting to turn everything down again and get back to just Oscillator 1 sine with Osc 2 turned off just produces a click. If I wait a minute the tone will return YET with a slight delay WHICH the Amp envelope attack level does nothing to alter.
I think the boring comes from the init patch lol. I had my time of whining about it but then you realize you can do a lot when modulating. I think that is the reason why people think it's boring when they fail to experiment with modulation.
Been playing bass for years but needed some major help with this. Thank you for the video!!

Thanks so much for this tutorial! Exactly what I needed (as a synth noob) to get my head around this device and where to start.
Just ordered one for my collection of other items..I'm so pumped to mess around with this!
Really nice tutorial
Nice one Ron.This explains a lot to a beginner
That ending tho!!!!! Wow!
Thanks, I am loving this new toy, it's amazing! this helps a lot, thanks!
How do you start from a blank slate in order to create a sound?
Flip through the presets until it's just a buzz tone that is the init. I resaved mine to 0 so that I'm always starting at init.
@@RonCavagnaro Thanks!
Thank you very much, this explains a lot!
Excellent tutorial. Thanks.
Nice reviews 👌
Very helpful. Thank you.
This is great, thank you!

Isn't that the pitch? Not sure what you mean, unless it's in regards to the lfo. I pretty much covered everything basic in this video.

Well which knobs are you turning? You can save presets by the way
@@RonCavagnaro that will come in handy! If you turn a random knob in a particular section, does it activate that whole section?
@@kingadammusic no not at all. If you don't understand the fundamentals of synthesis maybe rewatch this video because it should explain everything.

go faster next time thru everything, ok thanks
I made slower videos back then because people were requesting it. There's always speed adjustment on UA-cam if the rate is too slow.
