My 9 year old and I just watched this. I was telling him conservation is so important to our planet and we need to ensure these beautiful cats don't become extinct.
What happens when these cats grow in population and become bold enough to enter human homes and take children as an evening snack? Let's be careful because we are so far removed from nature that we forget that it is dangerous and we forget what it means to be on the menu of another predator. These cats look big enough to take a baby from its pram.
@@dibdap2373 That's relatively unlikely as most wild animals will want to stay away from humans. A cat the size of a lynx will want to remain invisible to a human (rightfully so if you ask me) but giving the benefit of the doubt, the animal will have to be on the brink of death from starvation and is desperately trying to find food for it to even think about going after people for food
By now (2023) there is an aproximate population of more than 1700 linxes in the wild, and ever since the start of this reintroducing project more and more areas are being populated with them. This very year 2 more regions have a small number of lynxes which hopefully might be the seed of new populations. It is being an extraordinary effort and it's a pride for all spaniards and portuguese
