The mini panthers. They are precious.
They kill with cuteness 😍
I just want to hug them. I know it would be like hugging a weed whacker, but they are so cute!
@@ruthmeow4262 There is a breed of domestic cat called a Bombay. They are pitch black, with yellow or green eyes. My family has one.
I misread it as dellicious and almost choked
Used to have a mini panther. He didn't seem to realize that he wasn't a 80lb behemoth.
"The closer to the Poles they are, The Chonkier they are!" Very scientific terminology, I love it ♥♥♥
So... When a salt cat goes to Poland it becomes an absolute unit?

Lol

Why did this make me chuckle lol :)

Oh, SHAME on you, SHAME.
Gotta wonder how many of them were accidently adopted as they were mistaken for domestic cats
Its common to see them as pets in the countryside when they are young, but they run away when grow older

It’s amazing how many small cat species look exactly like house cats
Your house cat is probably one of em
@@qjtvaddict I own a bengal. They look VERY much like these salt cats.
The Kodkod is an even smaller cat from the western side of the Andes Mountains. It doesn't really look like a domestic cat though
That's because "house cat" doesn't mean anything.
@@attractivegd9531 Don't be particular, everyone knows what it means.

Brazilian here, Grandma had one, she tought it was just a normal cat, she even made the cat's breakfast giving ''Afonso'' boiled eggs...
I can see a wild cat tolerating some domestication if it involves eggs for breakfast.
I wonder if they can breed with house cats?

I always assumed that domestic cats were selectively bred to be cuter, but apparently they look exactly the same as they used to (minus perhaps the variety of colors). Mother nature has crafted them over hundreds of thousands of years into the perfect hunter, and the form they chose just happens to look like a cartoon character.
leopardus genus is also considered to be more basal than felis. they also can hybridize, resulting in something called safari cat. also fun fact: leopardus have 36 chromosomes, felis - 38 and safari cats - 37.
@@tochka832 Interesting that safari cats are still able to breed with 37 chromosomes.

As a person who started studying felids at age 12 I am absolutely in love with these videos. You showcase all the rarest and least known cats on planet (all my favourite ones :D) I want to thank you very much and show appreciation for your hard work. Many of these animals are not really well documented because of how rare/elusive they are yet you manage to tell so much about them. Instant subscription. Much love

This is why I love Animalogic. It is so very rare, but incredibly refreshing to learn about the existence of a mammal that I had NEVER heard of before. I like to think that I know a lot about animals, and I very much do: but nobody knows everything and that’s what makes nature so amazing.

I love love LOVE how Danielle narrates. Its super vibrant and informative for not just the casual watcher but is truly all ages, me and my daughters watch them together and I share them with my mother. My mother and I are not native English speakers and I am hard of hearing in one ear, but she enunciates and uses plain words. And she's got a razzing dazzling attitude. I love science stuff so much, but a lot seems inaccessible cause people get pretentious and flashy. Animalogic doesn't. I'd die for Danielle
Stunning and did not know anything about them. My all time favourite presenter of Animal Logic. My 18 year old Cat is very intrigued. Cate from Sydney, Australia🐈🐾🇦🇺👏
Excellent coverage of this little known species. Can we expect follow up videos of other small South American felids like Oncilla, Colocolo and Guigna?
These videos always feel like they are made with love. Thanks for the great content!!
Cats are everywhere! They can survive anywhere!!! Such awesome creatures. ❤️❤️❤️
Idk if it's the same animal, but I've seen that fur pattern in silver gray and black around the argentinian Patagonia. People calls them epuyeneros and I've seen them kept as pets around the area of Bolsón, Epuyén, Lake Puelo. Gorgeous cats in any case

Please make a video about corvids, especially the differences between the European (C. corone) and the American crow! Or maybe about their intelligence, communication, and language learning abilities.
That would be great, corvids are incredibly smart. They watch other birds cache their food, then when they leave, the corvids go back and steal it, the little smarty-pants.
