  • What should you be looking for in a rabbit carrier? Travel can be stressful for your rabbit, so choosing a pet carrier that they like is important. At The Bunnies' Brigade we are all about positive reinforcement, so we've trialed and tested some pet carriers that make it easy to train your rabbit to like their carrier! These are my top 3 picks for pet carriers.
    1. Johomviin Pet Carrier: amzn.to/3oK89vi
    2. PetsHome Pet Carrier: amzn.to/3EEwKqJ
    3. Ibiyaya 5-in-1 Pet Stroller: amzn.to/3DKum0q
Looking for a hard-sided carrier instead? These are my rabbit-friendly recommendations (I have not tested these):
    Petmate 2-Door Kennel: amzn.to/3IBkhXh
    Van Ness Calm Carrier: amzn.to/3dHe0v0

I'm realy glad that the Ibiyaya stroller lets you have your rabbits facing towards you. I want to make sure they're ok and see their cute little faces

I am about to get my second bun and needed to get a larger travel carrier and now I am considering the stroller and this was really helpful. Thank you!

Isn’t it?! Pepper loves it! She jumps in there and waits for tasty things to appear. 😅 We call it the “get ready” game.

@@TheBunniesBrigade a good get ready game is super helpful to ritualize the process of going out! I was also interested that opening both entrances/exits so it was like a tunnel at first would make sense to a rabbit.

@@deehappy43 Yep, so much less scary for them cos they don't feel trapped. They just need to work on being ok when it gets zipped up and understanding nothing bad's gonna happen.

Thank you for this, and while I know this is a weird question, can I ask what breed your brown rabbit (Pepper?) is? I have one that looks very similar, but I don't know what breed she is, and it would be nice to know.

Unfortunately, unless you know who the parents are, there is no sure way to know the breed of a rabbit with chestnut agouti colouring. This is because domestic rabbits were originally bred from wild European rabbits, who have agouti coats. It's a recessive gene that shows up in litters randomly. Best you can do is attempt to narrow it down by considering size, spinal arch, fur texture and ear size and position. But, in Pepper's case, I still don't have a lot to go on haha.

Do you have to use those harness clips if you want to keep the top a little bit open? Or are they sure to hop out? I’m pretty dubious about harnesses and leashes.

Have you gone through the bonding process with them? ua-cam.com/video/xsHP4cZlP6E/v-deo.html You may be able to find a local bonder or rescue to help you bond them.

Does those work for guinea piggies?

    • @TheBunniesBrigade
      @TheBunniesBrigade  2 роки тому

The small version of the PetsHome Carrier would probably work well for guinea pigs. I'd just be conscious of how much yours like to nibble though, a hard carrier may be a better option of rodents.

@sweet_citrus Please don't get just one! Guinea pigs always need at least one friend! It doesn't matter how much time you soend with them, a friend of their own species is always better and can make them be tame quicker! Also please do research before getting any animal!
I hope you did as this was a year ago. Kids shouldn't be given pets unless they have proven themselves to be very responsible.
