    Did you know that most carriers have never been tested for vehicle safety? neither did I! But as I was doing some research into car safety for rabbits, I learned that it really does matter what carrier you pick.

    Thank you, Amy! I always strap in my hard carrier in the back seat! I had no clue the floor was safer with that type of carrier. Nor did I know that they aren’t even crash tested. I’ve been a bun owner for nearly 8 years. I appreciate your channel and your efforts to further our pet happiness and safety.

    Thank you so much for this video! I never really heard about car safety for rabbits in the past 6 years of my caretaking for my 2 rabbits, and hearing this is very helpful regarding safety for rabbits in vehicles. :)

    I've never been a caretaker of rabbits, and I don't remember how I got here, but I watched this whole vid. What can I say, it was interesting and Amy made it engaging and easy to understand.

    Yep. I’ve always put my carrier in the footwell, behind the passenger seat, and backed up the seat so it was secure. This Sleep Pod looks good though.

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I'll be placing my carrier on the floor with my passenger door pushed back until I upgrade. The shoulder strap seems like a good feature too.

    How do you prevent your rabbit from chewing the fabric of this carrier? $200 is a lot of money for a rabbit to destroy it…

    • @Miss-Anne-Thrope
      @Miss-Anne-Thrope 2 роки тому +1

      You could try spraying some white vinegar on it, your car will smell like a chip shop but it's more effective than bitter apple spray. Try giving them something else to occupy them too, I put old towels on the floor of the carrier and my buns spend the entire trip rearranging them instead of chewing the carrier.

    When it's hot and I need to take my rabbits to the v-e-t-s I take a portable fan to keep them cool, especially because we have to wait outside due to the pandemic. I had one from Amazon for about £20.
    This video had made me realise that I need to change a few things to keep my buns safe in a car, even veteran bun owners can learn new things! 😊

    Hello, i love your channel so much. I need to ask for your advice. I have a 4 month old bunny. Yesterday night around 2 a.m he jumped out of the balcony, it's like 2 meters high and couldn't find him till morning. Since then he is scared and has diharea. Nothing is broken thanks god but In our country we don't have specialist vets for rabbits. It's all about cats and dogs. I'm taking care of him now but i don't know what to do

    I need your help , my rabbit is acting strange . He's completely lost his appetite , he won't eat hay , pellets , greens and not even treats which he usually goes crazy over and he's been hiding away lately , he still drinks water but I heard him sneeze the other day which I have never heard him do . His nose is not wet and his eyes are not watery but what is happening is clearly not normal . I need advice desperately , I'm on the brink of taking him to the vet tomorrow . Please respond , I beg you .

      @ critical Clone Keep a pack of Oxbow Critical Care Fine Grind handy. It's a premium recovery food that our rabbits soon tuck into whenever they've gone off their food and helps get them eating again. It can be fed with a feeding syringe but our rabbits love it and eat it from a spoon.

      if given in moderation and only as a treat, obviously because they have sugar content.
