Jesus held a special love for Mary which is why the twelve apostles took care of Mary long after his death until her Assumption.
The word "Hail" is not in any way idolizing. Infact I could legitimately hail to anyone. It simply recognizes ones authority. That being a king, a general, a guardian, really anyone. But in our case we "Hail" Mary to signify her blessedness. Catholicism only worships one God. That is Jesus, the Father, the Holy Spirit. In the "Hail Mary" we are asking her to "Pray for us". She simply wouldn't need to pray unless she was like the father, but that's not the case, since we ask for her to pray for us to God on our behalf. tell me why that takes any love away from God? I very much an devoted to Jesus, and I pray to him. But just like at the Wedding feast Jesus himself listened to the mother to do his first miracle before it was time, because he loves his Mother so much.
It's not that we worship Mary or the saints. We ask for them to pray for us, that God might give us his grace. They meditate for us.
I don't get why that's hard to see. Maybe you were just misinformed.
@@scootergreen3 you did get one thing right though. Beads mean nothing. Neither does the physical rosary itself. Quite literally all it is is a way to help keep track of prayers while we reflect over the mysteries of Jesus while we say the prayer.

Thanks for sharing this information. Most protestants, like myself, don’t have much access to the reasons for why Catholics do this or that. UA-cam videos like this are helping people like myself who try to understand the Catholic traditions. I have a few other questions for you in regards to what you talked about. You talked about Mary being the immaculate conception, but where is that stated in the Bible? Also, how do we know that Jesus saves Mary in a special way? Any specific verses you refer to?

My favorite line of the Hail Mary is blessed art thou among women because I have mini protestant friends and there is no room for the feminine in their theology except at Christmas and Easter and since God made both male and female it’s only fair and natural that women be recognized in the divine that we have the Blessed mother

John 1:3-5 "What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." No matter how dark it seems today, there is light and will be light, the darkness will not overpower you or the world.
Psalm 23:4 "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me." He longs to comfort you let him hold and embrace you.
Isaiah 40:29-31 "He gives power to the faint, abundant strength to the weak. Even Moses was told to back away from the burning bush because he was not in a complete state of grace, why would Jesus choose to come into the world through a sinner? Mary has always been in a state of grace since her conception.

Question to all catholics. Why don’t you just save your time going through all the hail mary prayer when all you have to do when you pray is “In Jesus name”. Why do you need mary to intercede for you?

Remember the wedding at Cana? This was Jesus’ first miracle at Mary’s request. You can never separate the love of a mother and child. It’s logical. The Bible is living. It is not dead and we treat it as the living word. We pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as the Bible commands because you cannot separate the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is the love between the Father and the Son. You cannot separate or water down these familial relationships.

Lol, that's because it's not IN anywhere in the Bible, but what is in the Bible is God's abundant and abounding Grace for mankind because He knows that we are sinners living in a corrupted world that will only be renewed upon the return of His Son Jesus Christ. I IMMEDIATELY disagreed with this video when they said Mary was born "full of grace" and was born perfect. THERE IS NO WHERE IN THE GOSPELS that says Mary was perfect. NO WHERE but yet I hear this time and time again from my brothers and sisters in the Catholic Faith. I'm an Evangelical myself, and one thing I know for certain is that the New Testament makes CONSTANT REFERENCE, including Jesus Christ that man(kind) is not perfect and are responsible for striving to walk as Christ walked, which was a path of perfection that are savior demonstrated during His time on Earth before and after His death/resurrection. This imagined state of "perfection" constantly applied to Mother Mary is baffling to me and I am all ears to receive any correction or source materials in regard to the biblical argument that Mary was perfect and full of grace her whole life and that she "never" sinned as woman during her whole time on Earth. I call hogwash but I'm all ears. No really, I am, I'm opened minded and willing to adjust my thinking and views of the material I receive from someone is Biblical and theological sound. Just because all will call her blessed doesn't mean we pray to her. We do "call her blessed" but we don't "call on her".
The KJV clearly states word for word how we as believers in the true Jesus should pray in Matthew 6:9-13 KJ states after this manner you pray Our Father which ar in heaven. You can read this for yourself. You do not have to take my word for it. It's best to read the bible for yourself and interpret it yourself rather than put your faith in another's interpretation.

Heartfelt prayer is an essential part of worship, however all such worshipful devotion should be directed to Jehovah God alone, through Jesus Christ. Matthew 4:10:”Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to Him alone you must render sacred service.”
We venerate Mary as the Mother of God Jesus who always lead us to God.

You can go straight to Jesus to pray. He is our intercessor to God and when the veil was torn that was the symbol that we no longer had to go through priests etc.

Okay isn’t this based on intercession? And is not intercession the antithesis to 1 Timothy 2:5? The goal of Theosis is to be like Christ by setting your sights towards the Kingdom of Heaven. Not to set your sights on those who’ve already reached that goal successfully.
When people worshipped idols, they at times created the idols to honor what they thought was the most high. This is why you must worship the Most High and not the results of the Most High, because the results are not the ones who bring forth the Kingdom of Heaven.
You should actually read 1 Timothy 2 the full chapter.
If you are in spiritual struggle don't pray to Jesus, pray to Mary instead.

I’m sorry, the Greek doesn’t use the term, theotokos, in Luke 1:43, it uses the equivalent of “the mother of my Lord” not God-bearer. I agree that Jesus is God and always was but please don’t twist the Greek to suite your narrative.
Mary was a sinner just like you and me. Also, she did not turn the water into wine…Jesus did. The Bible states in Luke 11, that Jesus taught his disciples how to pray with the Lord’s prayer.
You can pray this but realize she has absolutely nothing to do with answered prayer neither do any saints. Only two intercessors in the Bible that are heavenly. Jesus and the Holy Spirit. She is the Mother of Jesus not God because God does not have a mother. Also she is not sinless, she needed the salvation of Jesus being a sinner.

I wanted to be a nun, praying for God to reveal truth and insistently lead me to Islam. Come to the one true God.... God is not a God of confusion. God is one truth. The trinity=confusion. The salvation of the whole world is tied to the Hail Mary. Its literally what the angel said to Mary when she became pregnant with Christ. Maybe you should actually read the gospels then cast such fundamentalist judgement.

To say that Mary is not special or wasn't specially prepared to be the Tabernacle of God is sacrilege. Her interior was a perfect reflection of God's love. Never once did she EVER take account of her personal cost. Does that not make her special from us?
