    Just discovered your DaVinci code swing from years ago. Man does that ever work great! Just like you said very straight ball flight and exceptional distance too. the contact is so solid and consistent. Thanks for all you do!

      Hi Ross,
      Glad the Davinci Code swing worked for you.. a number of other people had success with it as well .. one guy won his club championship after only converting to the swing 2 weeks before the championship .
      The swing does give good distance and accuracy.. I think that is because the hands are so stabilised at impact and free releasing as well.. which is not something that is easy to achieve in conventional swing mechanics.. thanks for telling me of your success with the swing.
      Cheers JH

    Great to see you back JH. I hope all is well with you and your family. I tried this swing today and really like it. I hit some great shots especially in the beginning of my practice today before work. Then as I over analyzed it I started pulling the ball again. I feel I was hitting my best shots when all I thought about was the wrist hinge keeping the club head facing the ball. That is hard to do when I'm so use to the normal hinge with the clubhead pointing to the sky. Also keeping the hinge on the backswing was difficult for me for some reason. I think Martin is a great golfer and to the right person could benefit from his swing for sure. I just had a hard time with it. So I'm glad you went back to a swing that seems easy and repeatable. Thanks for these video's and please keep them coming.

      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому

      Hi Craig,
      If you tend to start pulling the ball left.. just try putting the ball back a bit further at address.. to pull the ball you must be catching the ball when the club is arcing left at impact.. just try to keep the lead shoulder a bit closed at impact.. that will ensure an in to out attack path at impact.. the ball further back at address will also do that.
      Cheers JH

    That last full out wedge sounded crisp all the way up here in Detroit!! My daily practice is all wedges in the back yard have 135 yards from flagpole to the big oak tree with a 5-7 yard drop in elevation. Back and forth for hour n' a half daily in US Open style rough everywhere. I'm working on this move through the ball, like you say it's so simple don't have time to think! Great to have you back JH!

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому

      If the swing process has one issue ,,,it is when you have to hit a shot from the rough.. because this swing is very much from the inside out attack line it puts the clubhead at ground level earlier than a normal steeper swing plane.. hence the clubhead being at ground level earlier than normal it can tend to get some grass between the clubface and ball at impact.
      The solution fo that is to just not take the club inside 'as much' on those shots from the rough ..but because thjose shots dont happen that frequently the adjustment required for those shots is not a big issue .
      Hitting lots of wefdge shots the distance you are would have to sharpen up your accuracy on the golf course with those length wedge shots.
      Cheers JH

      Thanks JH. Was wondering about breathing during the swing; Do you exhale when you make the downswing? Or...? Nobody says anything about breathing during the golf swing/. Would you comment? Thanks!@@1atomicgolf

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому

      I don't specifically concentrate on a breathing process other than just relaxing my breathing before I start my backswing and just breathing in fully on the backswing.. I know if I breathe in fully on the backswing I will release that breath quite forcefully in the downswing.. having a background in Martial Arts that 'loading' breathing is something I have done in all striking routines in training sessions.
      So I guess I do something specific with my breathing.. but for me, it's not a specific deliberate intention.. it's just something I have trained myself to do in my martial arts training over the years... however, I think that type of breathing could benefit Golfers generally.

    Went out to the practice tee yesterday JH. Worked on these mechanics. My take is I love the athletic set up and the idea of turning the lead shoulder outward ( as a feeling). I think the wrist hinge sort of happens by itself but I have to concentrate on releasing the club. On the back swing I’m thinking of an idea by Jimmy Ballard, keeping the lead elbow down to square up the club. Overall impressions were the quality of strike. A trademark of your swing methodology I think. Cheers. Can’t wait for more vids. Life is hard JH especially after loss glad to see your back. Hang in there.

      Hi John,
      There are a few things I will add and elaborate on relative to the general swing process in coming videos.. I really think this swing can be a big asset for Golfers relative to being able to have a Golf swing that is very low maintenance and virtually non-taxing mentally.
      There is a very important aspect of how to set the lead shoulder direction movement at the start of the backswing that I actually found myself after I had finished the videos.. it sets the lead shoulder backswing ignition move virtually automatically.. and another aspect of the backswing relative to keeping the swing plane from elevating to much off its address plane which is almost the capstone of the entire swing process.
      I will also have something to say about how to get the clubhead releasing early in the downswing and stop the clubhead flipping.. we want the clubhead 'firing'... not Flipping.
      Cheers mate

    Glad to see your back posting videos. This might be a good swing for seniors or people that don't have time to practice. i am still trying to figure out channel lock. just kidding about channel lock. I have been using Todd Graves single plain golf swing method. Works well for me at this stage in my golfing quest.

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому

      Hi David,
      I think this swing process will help eliminate the invariable nuber of swing thoughts players have for a backswing and the downswing.. this swing only has an emphasis for the backswing.. if you just throw the clubhead backwards as forcefuly as you can the clubhead will be forced to create its own downswing response.. just like the tip of a Fly fishing rod goes from bending backwards as you throw it backwards and then it just rebounds forward to toss the lure out into the stream.
      There is a lot of good stuff that comes about from using a single plane/axis swing.. you could use it with CL actually.. it wouldnt detract from the CL mechanics at all I dont think.
      Cheers JH

    Great ball flight. This year I’ve nailed my chipping, much improved. I’m following Pete Cowan who advocates a wrist hinge too.

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому +1

      Cowan has advocated wrist hinging for pitching/chipping.. I just think because there is no roation of the clubface in the backswing it just makes the impact alignment much easier to get right.

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi George,
      Actually I hit around the same distance with 'All' the swings I advocate.. and really the 'best' distance is the distance you can get that incorperates 'straight' ball flight.....and to that end I think the Simple repeatable Golf Swing is the best all round swing because of its simplicity of repeatability.

    Can u make another video overhead view to see your swing and ball position at address?

  • @francisjohnrusling5124

    Haviing a ball hitting straight shots or with a slight draw. Is it possible to fade the ball using this swing and, if so, how? Thanks for the time you give to replying to my emails,. Best rehards, John

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  Рік тому

      Hi John,
      A fade with this swing is just a matter of aiming to the left of your target ( right handed player) and opening the clubface a little at address.. making sure the opening of the clubface is done by way of positioning it open 'before' you take your grip..dont just twist the face open with your hands .. because the hands will revert back to their normal address position during the swing and the clubface will be a bit closed at impact and because you are alighned left at address/impact the ball will go straight left.
      Because this swing irrispective of where you are aligning yourself at address the clubpath will always be in to out at impact .. so having an open clubface at impact the ball will start to the right by way of a straight push leak type ball flight..
      Cheers JH

    What position of ball I should use for Driver and Fairway woods? Towards the back foot?

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  10 місяців тому

      Ball position for all clubs should be the normal positioning you would use in a conventional swing.. this swing is about swinging the club 'around' the body with natural directional momentum .

    May i ask you about your grip? Neutral or strong?

    • @1atomicgolf
      @1atomicgolf  10 місяців тому +1

      My grip is pretty much neutral.. palm to palm.. but for the rank and file player I think having the grip a bit stronger can help with the release of the clubhead through impact... grips are invariably personal applications because a lot of personal physical differences etc.

      How about ball position with any club including driver? Is it closer to back foot? Please your swing I am trying to learn. I tried anything else and none is working for me. I am so frustrated. Thanks.

    A lot of golf nuggets in this video JH. Since June it has been averaging 114* heat index so I couldn't play so

      That is a lot of heat.. but for older body's with some injury issues warmer weather is usually way more beneficial than colder weather..the weather here where I live has been really nice teperature wise through winter.. you could have played every day in shorts and and no upperbody rugging up.
