So true. Hubby brought home a stray pittie who'd been dumped. I was scared of her at first, having no experience with a pittie, but after only a day I saw that she was just a sweet, cuddle bug who wanted to give and receive nothing but love. I adore her and she is the most affectionate puppy-child in the world. There's not even an ounce of aggression in her.
It took her three years to find you! Now all is good with the world for her! 😘

Annie, this amazing young woman said the exact same thing I say about my adopted dog Lucy. I've adopted her when she was almost 2 and now she's 9. She is my heart and I truly can't imagine life without her. She's a boxer mix, but I've know people who have pit bulls and they're nothing but big babies. They have a bad rap, but people need to realize it's all in how they're raised. All dogs want is to be loved and cared for, and what they give in return is love ❤️ 😍 that is beyond words. My Lucy is snuggled up in my bed right now all covered up and snoring away. There's nothing like the companionship of a dog 🐕 😍!

Animals who've been badly treated & brought up by an inexperienced & often cruel person have no chance of a balanced & happy life as they don't know what they're supposed to do or how to react safely in any situation.

Often times people are afraid to adopt this type of dog, but a dog's demeanor is determined by how they're trained and treated by their owners. Maggie is so loved now and happy in her new family. I'm so happy that she is in a good home.

@Rye Bread Dog bites and attacks happen ALL the time with TONS of different breeds. The media chooses to specifically broadcast when a pitbull does it. I work with dogs for a living and have for awhile, you’re trained to learn the signs of when a dog is uncomfortable. Sometimes its as small as them licking their lips or yawning a lot. They don’t just “suddenly” snap, they “snap” because they are uncomfortable with a situation that is happening.

@Rye Bread I think your point is in bad faith. It is not only pitbulls who “snap”. (And it is never random. There is always an underlying reason.)
You are right there are dogs more prone to aggression- such as chow chows, and many spitz breeds.
But have you commented under other videos talking about how these breeds suddenly snapped out of nowhere even when trained well? You should know that pitbulls are being attacked by the media outlets, and are banned in some states in the US. Before it was pitbulls, it was rottweilers, and before that doberman. These dogs are now seen as dangerous and are now often bought for that reason unfortunately. The cycle continues with pitties.
So your fear mongering comment is harmful.

It sickens my heart the way Pitt Bulls are treated & viewed. ANY domestic dog can kill you if they want to, they CHOOSE not too & aggression is usually done in self-defense or caused by past abuse. NO DOG is born "bad", they unfortunately meet bad people along the way.
Maggie is a precious cuddlebug and I wish for you many more happy years together.
As for your boyfriend-- he's a keeper honey- take it from a 61-year-old woman who knows. A man who loves Animals the way I see here is going to be a loving husband & future father.
