Often times people are afraid to adopt this type of dog, but a dog's demeanor is determined by how they're trained and treated by their owners. Maggie is so loved now and happy in her new family. I'm so happy that she is in a good home.
theyre afraid to adopt a dog like this because it could kill them, and unless you were the person who raised it you have no idea what might set it off.
@Rye Bread Dog bites and attacks happen ALL the time with TONS of different breeds. The media chooses to specifically broadcast when a pitbull does it. I work with dogs for a living and have for awhile, you’re trained to learn the signs of when a dog is uncomfortable. Sometimes its as small as them licking their lips or yawning a lot. They don’t just “suddenly” snap, they “snap” because they are uncomfortable with a situation that is happening.
@Rye Bread I think your point is in bad faith. It is not only pitbulls who “snap”. (And it is never random. There is always an underlying reason.) You are right there are dogs more prone to aggression- such as chow chows, and many spitz breeds. But have you commented under other videos talking about how these breeds suddenly snapped out of nowhere even when trained well? You should know that pitbulls are being attacked by the media outlets, and are banned in some states in the US. Before it was pitbulls, it was rottweilers, and before that doberman. These dogs are now seen as dangerous and are now often bought for that reason unfortunately. The cycle continues with pitties. So your fear mongering comment is harmful.
That says a lot for the kennel too, she didn't become depressed or other issues for that long of a time. Bless your heart for adopting her and giving her a loving home!🐾❣️

Annie, this amazing young woman said the exact same thing I say about my adopted dog Lucy. I've adopted her when she was almost 2 and now she's 9. She is my heart and I truly can't imagine life without her. She's a boxer mix, but I've know people who have pit bulls and they're nothing but big babies. They have a bad rap, but people need to realize it's all in how they're raised. All dogs want is to be loved and cared for, and what they give in return is love ❤️ 😍 that is beyond words. My Lucy is snuggled up in my bed right now all covered up and snoring away. There's nothing like the companionship of a dog 🐕 😍!
@@lucy2014 Hi Yvonne, so lovely to hear about you & Lucy, I wholehearted agree it's the love you share with any creature that makes every day worth living & it's the way a dog is treated that helps her fulfill her life & governs her happiness & behaviour with the rest of us. Animals who've been badly treated & brought up by an inexperienced & often cruel person have no chance of a balanced & happy life as they don't know what they're supposed to do or how to react safely in any situation. I rescued two pitties from a high kill shelter, and they are the best things that have ever happened to me. I love my doggy children and my bird babies to death! Will do anything for them. Your fur baby is so lucky to have you, just look at that big smile!
Poor baby, almost three years! So glad someone stepped up and got you out of there, especially when this lady made a point of getting a dog who really needs the help. It's usually the same old thing, people don't trust these dogs. When are they going to understand it truly is the owner who makes the dogs mean. Those pitbulls are lovebirds when brought up as lovebirds!!!!!
I used to be just like your mother and very wary of pit bulls but your story and others like yours and channels like this have completely changed my opinion. I'm so glad you two found each other!
I had an older pit that i had had gotten from my local shelter. She was also going to be euthanized because she was there so long. Well I was volunteering there at the time and found out about it and making friends with her. I still had a dog that didn't care for other dogs. So I got my neighbor to agree to take her untill I could take her. My neighbor loved her as well. My dog I had put down because she started having incontinence issues, she just wasn't enjoying life any more. I got my Pebbles (that was her name) and I had her for another 5 years. A short time later due to a bad neighbor I went to my moms place for a short time, still working, and my new dog (Pebbles) was at my mom's as well. Well my mom doesn't care for dogs so much but Pebbles LOVED my mom. Followed her all around.
I'm so happy that Maggie found the family that needed her. She's so beautiful and loving. It's great that the adopter decided to take the dog that nobody else wanted. She's a good person. I hope they continue to lead a happy life together.

In my experience it's moron owners who make their dogs mean. The minute I see a thick studded collar on a bully breed my heart breaks as it's always been some aggressive human meathead who wants a 'tough dog' and they raise them to be aggressive. You have a good heart, going to a shelter to adopt the least wanted dog. That is what I want to do, when we can fit an animal into our home. Maggie is adorable. She waited a long time to find your loving home and I hope that love and happiness always travels with you ❤❤❤❤
God bless you a hundred times over. I can’t imagine being in a shelter for three years, watching all the other dogs get adopted. Maggie hit the jackpot!!!
We have had our hurricane rescue from New Orleans, a Bassett name Goofy Boofy (it was Beauregard). He had a terrible time with storms when we first got him. They still scare him but we found an otc treatment that works better than the Rex he was on. He’s a loving snuggle buddy. Always happy to see storm dogs get good homes!
Please post again soon!! I would love updates😍😀 Maggie is so special ❤️ You two were meant to be. Watching this brought tears to my eyes. Thank you And your family for being so special.😍😍💕
What a beautiful dog. How she lasted three years in a shelter without being adopted is mind blowing however she found the right home. I’m super happy for them both.
Your Maggie reminds of my Maggie story. My Maggie came to me as rescue as well. Her owner had died. The man who was taking her had for 3 days and loved her, but was arrested in front of my house. The cops scared her so bad with the lights and being so rough the the man. She also was a bullie. I made them turn off the lights and sat on the ground and got her to come to me. She sat in my lap and cried. I asked her if she wanted to go home with me. She got excited. My kids ran across the street got a leash. When he got out of jail he could come get her. He did. She cried for 2 days. He called me. Asked could he bring her back. She came back. Little did we know. Maggie had been pregnant the whole time. 4 weeks later we had 9 happy healthy all white bullie pups. We didn't sell them, we gave them to good homes. We vetted every single home. I personally went to their homes. I had one guy came by said he would take 4 of them. Something about him made me cringe. I knew in my gut he was fighting dogs. I got his address and phone number. Told him I would come by. Sure enough I did with the police in toll. He was arrested and still in jail. It seems dog fighting wasn't his only hobby. That was several years ago. Maggie passed away a few years back. She was a bright light to all. Smart girl. Loving. She mother's all our rescues. We had as many as 16 at times. She, Moses, and Sophia were quite the trio. A bullie , a chocolate Lab, and a miniature Yorkie. Funny to watch. Sophia was head of the group. We just laughed. They are all gone now. Thank you for sharing and bringing me back those memories.
I AM JEALOUS in a loving way.I cannot have this breed where I live but this is my breed of choice. If I somehow got to adopt one,it would be the luckiest best treated little friend ever.It is GREAT to see others realizing they are blessed to be able to have a "Maggie" in their lives.Give Love=Get Love.

We have a sweet adorable blue-tip-pit who looks just like her, and her name is also Maggie. I don’t understand why people are so afraid of these dogs. They are the most loyal and sweetest dogs on the planet.
People that aren't dog lovers really have no idea what they are missing and how much they will increase the love, happiness and fulfillment in your life. I used to be one of those people and I am forever changed and forever grateful.

I love the lady's giggle/laugh. She seems like a fun person. Also, I love Maggie and would do anything for her :)
Wonderful dogs wonderful people. God bless you 🐶🐶😇😇
Thank you for rescuing Maggie and giving her the love and life she deserves. You two are perfect for each other.
You have a good heart, going to a shelter to adopt the least wanted dog. That is what I want to do, when we can fit an animal into our home. Maggie is adorable. She waited a long time to find your loving home and I hope that love and happiness always travels with you ❤❤❤❤
Best human! Best shelter for keeping her so long!
How are you doing today... hope you have a great day going..
Thanks for sharing! Maggie is so sweet, and she's very similar to our Maisy. Except our Maisy honks at us. lol Pitties are asolute angels on earth.
🤧 aww she's so gorgeous, bless you for adopting her, she perfect for you and your family. Great video thanks 💖😁
I love Geobeats. Just happy dog stories. So happy for Maggie and all concerned, you, your mom, your boyfriend, the shelter and, most of all, Maggie!
Oh my goodness she is so precious
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
God bless you for rescuing Maggie🙏✝️❤️
I Hate the term "bully breeds". It's humans who train dogs to be "bullies". Thank you for giving Maggie the Happily Ever After that she So deserves 💜
Please post again soon!! I would love updates😍😀
Maggie is so special ❤️ You two were meant to be.
Watching this brought tears to my eyes. Thank you
And your family for being so special.😍😍💕
What a beautiful dog. How she lasted three years in a shelter without being adopted is mind blowing however she found the right home. I’m super happy for them both.
Masz najlepszą przyjaciółkę na świecie, cudownie odnalazłyscie się w tym wielkim świecie 🥰🐶❤️👍
Yes I agree❣️ Maggie is the most ADORABLE Doggie on UA-cam ❤️🐾❤️
The way you whispered "good girl" to her at the end of the video was so pure. This is what it sounds like when an animal and human share true love.
Wth is wrong with this cruel World I love them All RESPECT TO ALL LIVES such a Cute Girl omg Big Happy Girl omg
Hello👋
How are you doing
She is spectacular. Thx for adopting this beauty and having her live out her life as a princess.
Another piece to the universe, falls into it's harmonic place. 💕🐾
I'm overjoyed for Maggie! She was waiting for you!
What a splendid story you've shared! Maggie is beautiful and clearly very loved and happy in her new "furever" home! God bless you and yours!!🥰
Seems like every day is a joy filled one for all of them - warms my heart!

Love these adoption stories! Beautiful doggy and beautiful person for adopting the dog that most needed it!
“My baguette!” “Silly hooman…”
What a kind, caring wonderful person you are. Maggie is adorable. God bless she found the perfect home. May the both of you and your boyfriend be happy for life.
You can tell by the way Maggie looks that you adore her. What a match made in heaven!
It’s a love story right there. I love how Maggie teaches others to love her. She’s adorable and she loves unconditionally. I’m very happy for you both.
God bless your whole family, and sweetheart Maggie forever. 👆🙏🙏👨👩👧👧🤹♀️💓
I have rewatched this video at least a dozen times - it always makes me so happy. What a match the two of them are. Maggie is a beautiful soul and found her soulmate with her human. What a sweet story.
She is such a happy puppy, I like her teeth, her sleeping way, she brings a lot of happiness to you, thank you give her a good life, love her lot she deserve it, God bless you and bless her too
When was the last time you giggle like that before you adopted Maggie? Your giggle was so enjoyable hearing, I started laughing myself..so proud of you taking Maggie to her forever home..she will never forget and Maggie will love you unconditionally..I'm glad your mom and boyfriend fell in love with her too! Great family, see what Maggie has done everyone.
