You can just feel what a sweet soul she is. All over the World more needs to be done to educate people on what loving and interactive dogs Pitties are. Like any breed, mistreated animals will respond with fear and aggression, but any well treated and relaxed dog in a good environment will give any person back the love 1000%.
I’m not saying that pits can’t be sweet loving dogs, but due to selective breeding for the purposes of dogfighting, pit bulls are naturally much more likely to become aggressive and NEED training and socialization. Have you seen all the videos of 4 week old pit puppies attacking anything that moves? That’s not abuse, that’s not bad training, they are just running on instincts at that point. Have you seen the video of the pit puppies that had killed and eaten 3 of their litter mates, even though you could tell they were well fed and you could see food in the background? I had a pitbull that I raised from a puppy for 6 years who suddenly attacked me and I nearly lost my hand, out of nowhere. She was NEVER abused and was well loved. Because of bad breeding, these dogs can snap and turn on you out of nowhere and it’s scary. People are still breeding them to fight & unfortunately when you adopt these dogs, you never know what you’re getting. So acting like these dogs are just naturally sweet and are “nanny dogs” is just stupid and is not doing them any justice. I love how everyone agrees on breed specific traits when it comes to labradors and other breeds but pits are the only ones that don’t count? Makes a lot of sense. I mean to think that they were able to domesticate wild foxes just since the 80s by breeding the friendliest ones together & you can see an incredible difference in their behavior where wild foxes will run and hide from humans and the domesticated ones will actually go seek humans out to interact with them. Yet you’re telling me, the same results cannot be achieved with people breeding pits to fight? Over thousands of years & people are still doing it today, yet that makes no difference on their behavior? Even emergency room doctors agree that pit attacks are the worst. They have bred their self preservation completely out. Normal dogs will bite once and be done, but pits are bred to cause the most damage possible. You don’t hear about labradors causing so much damage that both a persons arms need to be amputated. It’s only pits. Now I love pit bulls but if we want to save this breed we all need to be realistic. This isn’t the dogs fault, it’s our fault. Like I said, people are STILL breeding them to be this way. Let’s do something about it and stop pretending they are “nanny dogs” because they absolutely aren’t.
@@phoenixflowers5502 lol. I work at the local boarding kennels and the number of people who say their dog is loved and never mistreated but then when we see them interact with their dog it's clear they've absolutely made their dog neurotic and afraid. A dog that bites you 'out of nowhere' that you raised as a puppy says a LOT about you and your ignorance as an owner about what influence YOU had on that dog. Breed is only one piece of what makes a dog's personality. It's something to acknowledge but also over-generalizations, whether positive ('awww they're all nanny dogs!') or negative ('they're all fighting stock and can snap out of nowhere!') are dangerous and stupid.
Not sure I'd be able to emotionally handle having a dog with a low life expectancy like her new pup, Raven is a real trooper for giving him the love he deserves.
If you think about it, you really don't know how long any living creature has to live...no matter how long their supposed life expectancy is. Yes, it's hard to let them go when it comes time, but at least you know for a fact that they got all the love they could possibly get before they left this world, and that will help you deal with the grief that follows. Saving another one in their honor also helps.

@@dyanshane Most definitely a bully. Looks and temperament are like night and day between the bully and pitbull. Bullies tend to be loving couch potatoes and way more beefed up than a pit.
