    I got to hold his hand when he reached out and I was at the foot of the stage. All of us were singing along with him and I felt like I was a member of The Partridge Family. That was a great moment. I miss David Cassidy being in the world.

    He released this in 2003. His voice somehow transformed into an even more perfect version; into the most beautiful voice in the world,and the world never even knew it....I never knew he was still making any music.....the industry for some reason,withheld suppressed any marketing for it.

      Martha Welch I hate saying this about my own City. A lot of people look down on us because of all the Snow we get, & Losing 4 Superbowls. We were called SNOW CAPITAL OF USA from 1977 Blizzard when it snowed everyday in January for a total of 19 feet. Winds 80mph City & Schools closed for 3 weeks. There was an article in the Newspaper people were afraid of Buffalo like people were afraid of the movie JAWS. We only got visitors because Niagara Falls is close. Not any better now we still get 10 feet every winter from Lake Erie. We have to wait till July to enjoy the Beach because Lake Erie frezzes over. Even Buffalo Bills fans don't go to games in December. Other bad luck was Zeppelin cancelling 2 times 1977 Roberts son died, 1981 Drummer OD on Alcohol. Buffalo always has a WHITE CHRISTMAS.

    Mr. Cassidy, you have been a huge part of my life for close to 50 years. My parents owned a music store and I was able to hear your records before the local DJ would come in and buy them. Your voice is absolutely beautiful. More than that your songs have touched every part of my life. No matter what circumstances I was facing in, you had created a song I could relate to. Now I am 61 years old and your songs ring as true as ever. My Administrative Assistant died a few years back. Much too young (cancer). She looked at the world through the eyes of love. I still listen to "Looking Through the Eyes of Love" and remember the beautiful person God allowed me to have in my life for 17 years. If our world today would stop and listen to those words, maybe we could all rejoice as brothers and sisters. Thank you for helping me through my ups and downs in life. Rest in Peace Mr. Cassidy. You are truly missed but will never be forgotten.

    • @lizzieball3795
      @lizzieball3795 3 роки тому +2

      It has the same effect on me. For me, i think it's because it shows so clearly, the stunning quality of his voice, his talent..... but most of the world never heard it, because, after he withdrew at the height of his initial superstardom, the industry never allowed him to achieve any kind of notoriety again. This song released in 2003, on the album which was to accompany the relaunch of his career. But it was derailed before he had an actual chance, to "come back"because his record label mysteriously went out of business within three days of the release of the first single on the albun
      The scheduled tour, promotion, ads, media bookings, all the things that are necessary to successfully release an album and relaunch his music career, were completely derailed. Even without any of those things, the single still charted!

    • @winterweib

      What really impressed me, Steve Martin Caro, the original singer, always looked for me a lot like a young David Cassify (he was only 16).
      I love that song so much. But in this case I have to say: Left Banke did it best. It was their song, Renee in reality belonged to one member, while an other could not get her and wrote this. They all knew her, she was with them in the record studio and everywhere. Nobody could do it like them, and nobody was so heartbreaking touching like little Stevie Martin.

    • @deborahthomas4687
      @deborahthomas4687 3 роки тому

      I think most people associate it with the ending of David and Kay's marriage. It had nothing to do with that, just a remake of a great song. David could sing ANY song and it would sound better than the original artist' version.

    • @nmtg
      @nmtg 2 роки тому

      @@deborahthomas4687 I respectfully disagree. The Left Banker version is both sweet and sad. The vocals seem unforced on the original and the music transports one. This one is a good effort.

    David's cover of this classic is sublime. David is one of those rare singers that could do a cover of a really famous song and make it his own, but still keep the melody and original mood of the song intact, so that one listening, recognized it.

I was her biological father but I didn't raise her. She has a completely different life. I'm proud of her." Katie's mother moved on from the relationship and took her daughter with her to a new life with a new man. strawberryseason David is not only the number one but the best looking teen idol of all time. Bobby Sherman is adorable and cute too and the adorable Davey Jones was handsome but there was something about David Cassidy’s face that was just remarkable. He was beautiful, gorgeous, handsome, cute, sexy, stunning, breath taking, interesting looking, everything. Just my opinion.

    I swear, even though this this a heartbreak melody, David's voice sends me to my "Happy Place" with every note he hits. It is in this song where I REALLY fully appreciate his "more than impressive" vocal range. Yeah, he completely reduces me to tears when his emotion is lent into the meaning and feeling behind the words he sings.This song and his rendition of " More Than Words" takes me into a world where nothing else but the sweetness of his voice lives.

    This may be from posting years ago but I just found it. OMG David Cassidy and Bobby Sherman. Their posters all over walls and ceiling. I was a little un-nerved as a young teen when the eyes of the posters followed me everywhere!!

    Things should have gone so much different for Mr. Cassidy . Its such a shame that another Great talent was lost and destroyed by substance abuse .

    This brings me back to an innocent time in my life. A time before REAL boyfriends, a REAL husband and a REAL adult life. DC was so alive in my fantasy life as an 11 year old. I would pretend that we were married and we had four kids, two girls and two boys. The oldest was of course named David jr!
