Might be easier too, since I wouldn’t have to memorize all testimonies on my side. It’s a good way to get out of your comfort zone.
I thought about how the prosecution could have said that Taylor's body wouldn't have been found inside of the bathtub if they slipped on the bathroom *floor* and hit their head on the *trough* . Rather, their body would have been found on the floor if that were the case. But I then later realized that the body they could have still fallen inside of the bathtub even if they slipped on the floor. I guess this is why the prosecution decided not to include this as it would have been easy to rebuke (although the defense's manner of death is still extremely awkward and unlikely). I guess this what you get when you put so many brilliant future lawyers into one room! As a mortal, I am impressed!
This brings me back to when I did Mock Trial in 2006 as a junior. That year's case was "attempted school bombing" (People v. Campbell) and we went to County Finals at the main courthouse in Oakland. We, unfortunately, were on prosecution that evening and eventually lost in an otherwise close trial score.
