Ally Morvillo You’re right, there are several leading questions on direct but there are certain anomalies in which those are allowed. For example if something is completely uncontroverted in the case, you are allowed to ask a leading question. If you are laying foundation this applies as well, as you can recap an event and then ask for accuracy from the witness

They are in an annual Mock Trial competition. They have likely seen each other before in previous years/tournaments, but in this trial, it seems that the two schools' teams are state finalists, and thus competing against each other.
these threats are literally less severe than what comes out of my mouth while gaming, so if I could go to court for saying "you deserve to die", I'll probably be executed if anything else I said had been recorded
Wobniar Sixth one instance of some trash talk in the moment would not be considered a Criminal Threat; there must be fear of actual bodily harm and that fear must be sustained. In the example you have provided, they could just turn off their console/pc if they felt uncomfortable.
