Thats cause its a housing court case. Which in the world of Suits its a low level casr and not high corporate cases...
In Season 6 ep 2. Harvey tells a client how much he admires and respects Mike.
"He gave his heart and soul to every client he ever had. If those cases were reopened it would end up exactly in the same place."

@@thegreypath1777 more like the buddy system to ensure they don't tag team Mike with some b.s. claim.
2 people accusing 1 is lot more dangerous then a he said, she said situation. So having a second on his side to act as a witness levels the playing field.

It seemed more like a great shot at "Oh it's my first time....i got this". Harvey said that and gave Mike the chance to make that statement as kind of an exclamation point to his "i've got the win" The new guy has such a slam dunk win over this that he doesn't need his big bad superior here. Seemed much more like a tag-team style statement.

The first part is one of the most relatable things I've seen in my life. This was me during my first trial. You try to reassure the client who's scared shitless because you have no experience, you've played the scenario in your head a hundred times, you know what to say but you overreact, speak when you shouldn't and such. It's daunting but extremely memorable.

I liked the show's characters' interactions, but everything else was just too over the top because the vast majority of what went on on the legal side/practice of law would never have happened in real life - Harvey Spector would have never hired Mike and risked the destruction and imprisonment of his partners, co-workers, and entire office staff no matter how smart and good Mike was without a law degree and subsequent bar exam law license.

The great at this last scene is: Mike lost, knows it, but didnt back off. Instead he does his research homeworks and turn that "simple" lawsuit against his "client" into a nightmare for his opponent... Espacially Louis must be proud (later), when Mike tells him, that this nonprofit job turns into a lucrative job... with no extra work.
