Some tutorial says we have to connect to the same wifi connection, We dont have wifi at home. Only cellular data. So i looked for a tutorial using only my phone's cellular data and tv, And i found your vid. Thanks
This video makes no sense. You're just using your phones hotspot to connect to your TV. Everyone knows how to do that. I'm not trying to be mean or negative. But, the title of the video is deceiving. But, you did a great job explaining what everyone with a phone already knows how to do
This is a great video! I am an older person which means I am not tech savvy. My request is could you break everything down as far as instructions dummies 101?
Doesn't work on my TV.. Don't know how many videos I've watched and no solution for the problem.. My phone finds the TV but it just gives the screen a connect to TV code, but you can't actually write the code anywhere... So freaking ANNOYING!! My tablet and computer has no problem connecting to the TV whatsoever! Wtf is this about?? I have a Asus Zenfone btw and a LG TV. Thanks in advance!
Got a Question,How do I Mirror my Samsung Galaxy A14 5G to Windows 10 Laptop without SMART VIEW or "Cast " Button in Quick Panel Layout even in Extended Media Panel mode?
If you have a hotspot option on your cellphone, you do not have to have wi-fi. There is a difference between wi-fi and cell data. Some cellphone plans limit or charge extra for cell data used as a hotspot, so be sure to check your phone's plan.
I've exactly the same tv but my mobile phone is vivo y75. But it's not connecting.. my screen cast shows wifi not connected.. it's working only with wifi 😕
U r talking about manually enabling the screen mirroring mode. Which I'm sure you're used to doing it so as you were explaining the rest of the video You're enabling it by doing a series of thumb movements but I don't know what them some movements are so that's what I mean by breaking down your instructions for dummies 101 Please and thank you!
For anything serious hard wired is the best. Too much latency wireless, probably less than 30 fps. Wired directly to TV runs 60 fps on Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
FYI it's called 'smart view' with Samsung. Thank you very much. Ya got me to the page I needed to be. Been trying to find this setting for months and just gave up. Thank you!!
Our phones don't have smart view, we've tried the hdmi cable from our phone to tv and for some reason it's not working. Our kids phone has it but not ours. And apparently our phone isn't capable of screen morroing or any way for us to play whats on our phone on the tv. We don't currently have wifi 😒 and our kids ran out our hot spot
@Jillian Furniss they have devices you can plug into your TV that allows you to screen your phone to the TV. I think ima have to do that because my phone looses connection with my TV in less than a minute. Smart view is an option and connects, but doesn't do anything else. Sooooo yeah lol stupid
@Red I've seen we have to get chromecast (?) Or the other one that starts with an M. But it's a monthly thing! Even when I get wifi we can't do any kind of screen sharing without these other devices. Like it'll do audio no problem, but no video. And even with our hot spot on (which runs out hella fast!) We can only screen share youtube and I think Netflix. I've never had such an issue!
@Jillian Furniss i have chromcast builtin and I can't get that to work period. I thought smart view would work but it didn't. So I'm just giving up at this point. Keeps telling me I need to reset the router. Router is fine.
Smart view need to turn off Hotspot first! So that fix doesn't work! Don't know why it's so hard while we live in 2023! I've brand new sharp tv and new Samsung phone!
Hi, great info. My TV is a Samsung 2009 at my cottage. I have unlimited 5g+ service with my cell phone provider. I want to use my phone data to cast movies from Netflix, prime video and my home cable channels. I have apps on my phone to use them but they don't fill the whole tv screen. Only My phone screen in the center of tv like ur video. I'm trying not to buy a new TV or get internet there. Before I invest in a Google Chrome cast. Do u know how to make my phone screen to cover the whole tv screen. And do u know if I connect google chromecast will it fill the whole screen using my 5g+ phone service casting the apps mentioned earlier? I can't find anything saying it will. Also g-chromecast said u need to connect to the same wifi. I appreciate any helpful info. Thanks.
Set your phone screen to auto adjust horizontally/ vertically. Once you do that you can tilt the screen horizontally, the picture on the TV will follow and then fill the screen. Also, Google Chromecast will ONLY work with Wifi, not Internet Data from your phone.
How is Wi-Fi free if I mirror my phone to the tv thur the Wi-Fi does it use data I have satellite internet so I have a limit and rather not use it up playing cartoons for the kids if it doesn’t use data please let me know so I can start using it but my brain tells me that if I connect my phone to Wi-Fi and the tv it’s going to use my limited satellite data
Yea and while your connected you cant get on the internet and stream videos while doing this because either your connected via wifi or cellular.. the only way to do it no WiFi is with a lightening to hdmi converter box and cables.. you could however get a wireless hdmi transmitter and receiver then you wouldnt have to be tethered to the tv but youd still have to be plugged into the converter and that transmitter..
i have tried literally everything but with every app or setting or resetting everything etc. i only get sound when casting from my smartphone to my tv and no picture. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
This video is click bait. However it's true if you have a smasung device. Mines is a s23 ultra. You don't need internet just simple swipe down and click on the screen mirriong option . I do it all the time and my tv and phone isn't even connected to wifi.

The whole point of this exercise for me is to download movies at home and watch them in my RV without racking up data on my hotspot. If I download movies/videos to my phone, then connect my RV TV to my hotspot, will casting these downloaded videos eat hotspot data just like streaming? If so, this does me no good.
Great job but yea you definitely are doing alot of extra talking. It was kinda annoying but atleast your the one to point it out. Your video was good though❤
I can't share my pixel7pro screen to my Samsung Smart TV. The Pixel does not detect the TV even if it is connected to the same Wi-Fi line. How can I solve it?
Mine is a 2012 Samsung TV, it does not EVEN have the word, Screen mirroring feature...So how I do it with what you said, Can be done on any TV? You shouldn't be saying, Can be connected to any TV, that is a under statement, because not all TV are having this settings.
@Billy Ray Hoscheit no it wont! Not any more, not for a while, so dont say" ANY "..!!! a lot of them used to. They dont want you being able to do that anymore to control the users freedom and wallet $$$.
@Billy Ray Hoscheit yup... the older samsungs were the best... i loved my note 4 until my phone carrier terminated services to older non 5g phones... i could mirror anything easy from it, and replace any parts in it for a couple of dollars and in under an hour... and the battery too of course!
I purchased a Sony DVD player from Walmart black Friday a few years back and I could screen mirror my phone to my DVD player without wifi just screen mirror on my phone it was a Sony DVD player so buy a Sony DVD player and you should be able too
No, hotspots can be completely separate from wi-fi and rely only on cell data. Cell data comes directly from cell towers and is different than wi-fi services.
Will this method work with a Moto-g-pure? I know this phone doesn't have the ability to connect via USB-C /HDMI cable like most phones. I guess it's one of the few phones which won't support that connection. I ran an MHL Checker on this fairly new Moto phone and it does not support MHL.
Lol this is for tvs without bluetooth but yeah you can also use bluetooth, just open the cast and the phone will already turn on the bluetooth so you're all ready
I have a pixel 7 and a Roku tv , and it's not casting the screen. I'm on the same wifi on both devices all the settings are correct on my Roku tv and still no devices are found on my phone???? Any suggestions?
your TV has lot of advanced features that we don't have
Yeah
the tv is from 2011 what kind of tv do you own a tv from 1990?
Well a hot spot is still Wi-Fi so this is useless
Yes
Exactly... this is dumb...
Most tvs dont have Bluetooth so how do you think your phone and tv will connect
TOTALLY!!
My thoughts exactly
Some tutorial says we have to connect to the same wifi connection,
We dont have wifi at home.
Only cellular data.

You didn’t lie. I don’t know why people say that. Thanks for the help.
Remember when you lied in the title about not using Wi-Fi then proceeded to use Wi-Fi
You are hilarious and correct!!!!
he used hotspot dummy
how are you. how to connect OPPO Reno T 5G phone to TCL smart TV...thank you

Really great information . Thanks.

So, use an HDMI cable to connect the tv. Any video will run equally with your cellphone
@@Biniyam3832 You're assuming the device in question is MHL compliant.

Same with us. Your TV Looks like a Smart-TV as it has network settings. Mine doesnt have that at all. Disapointing.
so basically you have to have Wi-Fi
