  • It is easy to cast your smartphone screen to a TV. The cast screen function works in a variety of ways depending on if you're using Android or iOS, Roku, Fire TV, or Apple TV. Although not every smartphone or TV has this capability, many of them do.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer or universal instruction manual. So we have compiled how to mirror a screen on nearly every device. This is how to connect a phone to a TV.

Sounds like a promo video to me.. This outcome is easily achievable with just my huawei 7x and my 55 in sony bravia smart tv. As follows. Ensure tv wireless display is activated by navigating to it's icon. Then via mobile handset, select settings icon, then select 'device connectivity, then select' wireless projection'. At this point your tv's model and number should appear as an option, then select your model. Once this is done you should see your phones screen... Not sure if I initially had to pair my phone with the tv, however if so just follow the prompts. Please dont waste your money on anything other than the right phone and tv, it really is so straightforward and I find the quality is excellent.

    Hello,
I just recently discovered the mirroring feature of my android phone. When I first used it, it worked fine. Well, I had to try to figure out on my own just how I got the feature to work and how to get it to come back on my TV, after turning both my phone and TV off for awhile. - I have an LG smart TV. - And, I was able to watch and listen to my phone on my TV at first. Then, after pressing a few buttons to try and figure out the way to make the mirroring feature work again, I began having trouble with the sound and picture coming from my phone to my TV. I believe I have the sound problem fixed, but, I'm still having trouble with being able to mirror the picture. All I can get to show is like a digital equalizer with dots showing/blinking while the sound plays over my TV speakers. Plus, at the top - right of that screen, it has SCREEN OFF next to an X. I'd like to be able to have the sound coming from my sound system I have hooked up to my TV. Mostly, though, I need to figure out how to mirror the picture again. Would you possibly know what I can try to do so that I will be able to view the picture again ? I appreciate your help and advice.

What's the best method(s) for a Samsung A12 to my Samsung smart-tv? Idk why the heck they took Mirroring feature out of it....I just had to retire my good ole trusty Note 2, that had it built right in and worked beautifully! The carriers are saying it's not compatible due to allegedly phasing out 3G, yet my Note 2 is 4G/LTE, they just do not want those great older phones being used! Far less tracking was built into them oldies compared to these newer phones!

My router is still connected however there is no internet broadcasting from it. So although my phone has internet access I cannot cast in any way shape or form that I know of to the TV directly. If there happens to be a solution I surely would like to know. Thanks.

Chromecast CAN do complete screen mirroring. All you have to do is when you go to cast in the settings of your Chrome web browser you can switch the source you're trying to cast to your tv. This can work with Windows or macOS. Your sources you can cast will be your current chrome tab, a file, or your desktop. Casting your desktop will basically mirror what's on your computer screen on the tv.

Would the data being used be comparable to that of streaming the content or would it use minimal data to maintain the connection to the Internet while the content is streaming from the cell phones data? I'm just wondering how much hotspot data would be used, if I solely relied on the hotspot for the Chromecast WiFi connection, while streaming a movie for an hour.

would one of these methods be the way to go or is there a hardwired way i could see my phone displayed on a tv to achieve less latency?

I have an Unihertz Jelly 2E phone (Android 12), a 5 year old HDTV (not a Smart TV), an old USB mouse (I dont if it is USB 2.0 or 3.0) and a Sandisk Cruzer Glide 16 GB USB flash drive (bought in Nov. 2016 and I dont know if it is USB 2.0 or 3.0). I need to mirror the phone to the TV so I can have a bigger screen and dont have to look at the small phone screen all the time. The TV has a USB port and an HDMI port. I need to connect the mouse to the phone so I can look, tap and swipe on the TV instead of looking, tapping and swiping at the small phone screen. I need to connect the flash drive to the phone so I can access the files. The phone should be able to use the mouse, flash drive and mirror on the TV simultaneously. Can I use a hub with 4 USB ports where I can connect all 4 devices and all would work simultaneously? Or can I use a hub with 3 USB ports and 1 HDMI port? Can someone recommend 1 hub or equipment that is available at Walmart or Amazon that can handle these all at the same time. My phone has only 1 micro USB port so I dont think I can use more than 1 adapter at a time. Thanks.

Sorry, can't do it with my old "smart" (they pulled support from the Samsung mirroring app) TV from my phone ... or to my first gen ROKU ... or from my Win7 computer ... not even an HDMI connector on this Toshiba computer... I can only think of getting a firestick or a Amazon stick ... a guest who stayed with us during covid showed me what the stick could do plugged into the HDMI port on the formerly smart TV. OK, I connected once ... using my girlfriend's new Win11 laptop ... it found the ROKU, but only UA-cam was allowed as a valid site to broadcast ... and the quality was quite bad ... about 1/4 quality.

Between a Samsung smart 49RU7100 and a Hisense 55B7300 which one is best to buy?

It Does NOT work on Android with Roku Ultra. I went to Settings, System, Screen Mirroring and selected Prompt and then went to the WIFI settings on my Galaxy Note 9 and selected WIFI Direct saw the Roku Ultra in the list selected it and it showed as connected, then my Roku Ultra prompted Always Allow, Allow, Block or Always Block, it then showed the Aipplay and Google Cast Icons and then said on the screen "Starting Video From Galaxy Note9".
No video plays and when I go to UA-cam , Facebook or even a video on my phone file and start a video it only plays on the Phone and if I select Cast it only shows my Vizio TV, No Roku Ultra. Also in the list of Always Allowed Devices.
