I called to the shop in the yard yesterday with the kids, meet mother phil (a lady) a great chat and a great welcome ,asked if i could take a photo of 3690 in front of the workshop ,was told 1200 inside if you like look, its looking 200%
Yes you should be putting in purple top turnips and kale together is a good job we used it for years put sheep Calf's, cows ,horses on it and eat them ourselves 😅
Solid plan. Can’t go wrong having extra feed around, especially if it’s not in your way cropping wise. Just make sure it’s not a crop that you need to manage intakes of. Just turn them out in big chunks of it, laughing. If you have the perfect spring, you can always harvest it off to feed to something. 👍👍
For whatever reason, the hydraulics must find it easier/lighter to pull up the RHS assembly, and then it looks like the RHS linkage comes over-centre. Can you, at the workshop, get it so the linkages are 'balanced' with the angles identical on each side? Then maybe weld on a piece of iron as a backstop to prevent the RHS linkage travelling too far. That would allow the LHS to rise to the transport position. Good luck and best wishes
Love the videos there farmer phil. Have o e question how come u don't tighten ur link arms so it stops the imploment rom swaying side to side? Awesome work tho love watching how I guys work in Ireland 😊
A cover crop sounds good. Would it benefit young calves too, and give them firmer dung than fresh lush spring grass monoculture? More of a browsing diet than a grazing diet.
you could may stop the right side from closing so far up by putting a wedge under the piece of steel thats tilting over connected till the end of the ram. stopping it pulling over so far would then give some ram travel till then pull the other side a bit more a spotter would be a must till test it an a easy finger on the hydraulics till not bend the ram but if you got the thickness or placement of the stop it could then be welded in place. but if the ram is free to go left or right without bending over anything then a stop on one side early enough till get it plum while still pulling the other side up should fix the issue. shocking force in that design though for such a small lever point its probably taking all that rams power till close that up.
why didn't you run around the head land a few time first to level them out also looks like the the top link was a bit to short as the front tines were doing all the work
@@FARMERPHIL3690 That’s crackin Phil. 😭 Can’t get away wit nothin on this YT caper. You and Liv come across as a great wee team on camera. 🙏🏼’s for a powerful year down on the Stewart farm. Big ❤️ from up North.

The rotation makes perfect sense, what to plant is up to the farmers to suggest. Keep 'er Lit
Great Job Philip!!!
Great Video Phil, I would say the Cattle had done a great job eating the beet, thanks for sharing

I love watching your channel. You’re so informative to watch channel.❤💯❤
Good idea wit the cover crops
Good idea to put cover crop that you can graze just a mixture of everything makes it good chance of something growing and the xtra manure wont harm
Looking good for the beet.

Trade the 6480 in for one
Great video mate 😊 cover crop is a great idea 😊
Will you do a few rounds with the stone rake
Yes
Phil I have a genuine question, with the cost of diesel and labour would you be better of sowing grass and making high quality silage?
Good day fp sir sunny England 🏴
Put 2 rams on the Harrow do away with all them linkages.I’m sure you’ve a few rams lying around
Would it make sense to run the stone picker through that field, instead of power-harrowing?

For dears sake I mean you're really scraping the barrel for video content with that rubbish.
Jaysus lad that’s a harsh comment ! I’m just happy to see Phil out on the land
Not much need for that. All you had to do was stop watching
A Sure Maurice would be better off watching one of those late night channels, when his mum thinks he should be asleep for senior infant class next day
Do you pay to watch, no, exactly, less of the negativity
Fix your audio you've been told long enough about it, for a chap with so many subs make an effort for pities sake
I spent 500 on a mic and media mod and it broke. Got it fixed broke again within a week and I’m waiting on it to be fixed again
No need for the negativity, how much do you pay to watch? Exactly
👍👍👍.
