Might sound mad though uncle Ian with the door open will know the sound of the machine and able to act quickly if something went wrong. And yes I’m the type who drives all day long without a radio. Great video
i too drive in the field with the door open bailing and with the wagon ...........partly throwback to the days of a 165 with a canvas cab but also you get a feel better for what is going on around you .....smelt a bearing gone on the baler at hay last year , if all closed up might have been curtains for the baler and maybe the tractor ...!
Yep we had a young lad went morning at our spot all windows fasten shut going like hell radio on full knocked 4 blades or two disk and mowed the whole field leaving stripes behind him becuse he never head the mower catch the stone
You love your big baler Phil. Happy days. They are the best baler as the bales stack better and they don't run off down the field. Pity they've let the newer ones get so feckin big and heavy. Would love to see it baling a few silage bales for wrapping to see how they would turn out.
Great video friend sorry a had a laugh 😅when you got covered in dust .a really like your big baler and please keep the great work up and keep the great videos coming 👍
we put a pole on the bar that goes across the bale chamber that the pressure rams pull on and mounted the camera on there so can see behind and the bale coming out
Looks like your still having good weather 😉. We've had some wet weather we will send it over to you we've got our Sunday viewing will watch later.Good luck and best wishes 😃😃💯💯💯💯
You couldn't pay me to wear that black shirt in the heat winter would be fine but there is no way in God's green earth I will wear black clothes in the summer heat and now you just added straw to the mix🤣👍great video phil
Phil, great crop, great vblog, was that sown using the fert spreader? Do you sow all your tillage crops using the fert spreader? How are the beans going that was sown with the demo spreader and how do you plan to harvest them?
Great content lad, would ye invest in a wrapper for the big squares or is it a thing up your part of the country? Alot of ppl do it done here in east cork
Dust flying! Farmer Phil, I never thought that I would see dust flyin' in Ireland like this! Do you ever crush barley like you might crush corn for the cattle to use the optimum of the grain? That was a genius who thought of that square-baling machine with so many moving parts. I hope that you picked that stone up, Phil! That straw is beautiful! How much of it do you go through in the Winter? Where are you going to store all those bales? Will you be using any of the straw in the new covered garden house?
Office workers:Everyone should work in a stress free and abuse free work enviriorment Farmer Phil:I better put the camera down and make a bit of progress before I get shouted at again😂😂
Would you ever consider getting a backhoe Like a jcb or Fermec As a replacement of the telehandler u have? They got good reach on them And have good hydraulics etc for backhoe
Doing a good job farmer phil. that dust stour if awful stuff. I've just watched Duffy ag USA, I thought you & you dad may want to watch & see the scale spreading slurry via unbiblical. Pumping Millions Of Gallons A Day- Walton Manure Management Pt 1- On Tour Part 8
What yield would you get? Father Phil said they were getting 4 tons to the acre. From memory one ton to the acre would be quite standard in Australia. Also 45 to 50ft headers help with getting large acres done 😁
@@cianhalley858 Also that MF38 is a small old combine compared to modern machines. Then the field is an irregular shape with obstacles and trees in the way. And when you take into account the huge volume of straw going through the combine, all things considered uncle Ian and co. have been making great progress!
When you are picking up a toone to the acre you wud really need to keeep moving they took over 4 tonne an acre in a small antique havester think toone wise they wuld be picking up a lot more that ye every thing half the size
Hi Thayer are you looking for any worker’s who would be willing to live in a caravan on the farm and only looking for a small wage for work can do mostly any tractor work and a good hard worker if so could you please send me a text message with thanks Stephen
Great to see uncle Ian on the combine, fair play to him.
Nice to see the Massey 50 doing a bit of work
The video shots of the baler mechanisms (knotter, etc) were great!

Very good
Nice one Phil, great video, we used to go to the river after the hay for a dip, loved it, a great end to the day!
Great video, loved the shots of the baler inside.
About 3 weeks before you harvest give the ditchs by the gate a good spray of round up burn them rite off far easier to get in and out
We need to see more of the 3690 in action
I always loved operating the old 50B.
Excellent Excavator and always very reliable as were all Massey's.
I heard your interview on iRadio, it was lovely what you had to say about Liv!
Might sound mad though uncle Ian with the door open will know the sound of the machine and able to act quickly if something went wrong. And yes I’m the type who drives all day long without a radio. Great video

Me too, no radio, pay attention to the machine & the job at hand.
Yep we had a young lad went morning at our spot all windows fasten shut going like hell radio on full knocked 4 blades or two disk and mowed the whole field leaving stripes behind him becuse he never head the mower catch the stone

Don’t disappoint them 👍👍👍
You will need a stacker trailer now
I call that willy the wisp
IDE say that’s a Ken Wooten trailer Phil , credit to. You and your family to have all that equipment , great video
That or a AS Marston
It's a Harry West or as the trailer actually say West with a yellow W
Office workers:Everyone should work in a stress free and abuse free work enviriorment
Farmer Phil:I better put the camera down and make a bit of progress before I get shouted at again😂😂
Love the harvest videos! Keep it up
How many round bales in a square bale , we had big square bales once , the space you save is unreal
Depends on size of both bales but 4 by 4 rounds should fit in a 3 by 3 7/8 ft bale packing is another thing but you realk win in stacking and storing
Congratulations new music
Good job Phil. Quick question what's the plus to the square over the round bale's?
Space saving in sheds and loading trailers
Greater output non stop baling unlike with rounds
More straw in a square vs a round
Great video
This is great content on the way down from Oxfordshire (rainy Combines stuck fuk)
Will that barley be sold to a merchant?
Were do you get the nifes for the combiner
Our local Massey dealer orders them in for us.
My brother bought a mf 175 and he is doing it up
Great outfit of machinery
Is the squares weighting more than rounds
Leathal vid boss!
Great video phil, no air con in the combine?
Go on tell us how fine it was not stopping for every bale 😁😉👍 cracking video sir. Looking like a good harvest this year 🤫. Stay safe 🏴
Must be a great start of harvest? ;)
Great video phill hope ye don’t have any breakdowns
Do the round bales keep the mice out better?
the great unwashed
Is your aircon broke in the 6499 phil
No the doors still open 😀😀🤣🤣
Rocks. 😣
Savage video
Is it faster baling than the fusion
Would you not think about unloading the grain into the 20ft kane and has bro got the lisence
I do t think they have a grain door for it
Is the 3690 fixed
Are ye crimping barley this year
Would you ever consider getting a backhoe Like a jcb or Fermec As a replacement of the telehandler u have? They got good reach on them And have good hydraulics etc for backhoe
@gerry6420 be depressed seeing them seeds ye pulled
Great outfit nice 2 see
I ment fergies phil
Doing a good job farmer phil. that dust stour if awful stuff. I've just watched Duffy ag USA, I thought you & you dad may want to watch & see the scale spreading slurry via unbiblical. Pumping Millions Of Gallons A Day- Walton Manure Management Pt 1- On Tour Part 8
Here in Ozzie we would have 240 arces done in a day
What yield would you get? Father Phil said they were getting 4 tons to the acre. From memory one ton to the acre would be quite standard in Australia. Also 45 to 50ft headers help with getting large acres done 😁
Yes but phil is using a 20 ft head thats nothing compared to the 40 and 50 foots ue have.

@@damjord exactly but by god they need a decent grain trailer with good capacity
When you are picking up a toone to the acre you wud really need to keeep moving they took over 4 tonne an acre in a small antique havester think toone wise they wuld be picking up a lot more that ye every thing half the size
Pleantly off food for rats now and birds
