Hi Bryan. Thank you for this very interessting review about the Oneida Osprey. I ordered mine today in your shop, a blood red one. Can't wait to hold it in my hands. Greetings from good old Europe.
That was a great video! Great prices on the bows too.
Oneida Osprey has had the same design since 2003 & the "K-cam" is the same cam system that Oneida has ran since 1992. it is the only bow ever continually offered for 20yrs. It is supported by aftermarket companies and customization is very popular. The Osprey is "The Jeep" of the archery world. Mike covers a lot of great attributes of the bow in this video however when it comes to hunting with the Osprey a few things must be done to get it ready for the deer woods. I did a video "The quietest lever bow" in that video i cover some very important things while hunting with a lever. 1. open outboard hinge gap by twisting up string. 2. aftermarket dead end string stop. 3. flemish string 4. limb dampeners 5. velcro on the underside of the outboard. 6. 10-11grains per pound arrow build. 7.off set riser must be shot with feathers 8. limb driven fall away or a old school Futura huntmaster 2000 rest are best if you can find one. 9. bows can be shot with fingers or a D-loop. 10. different modules will adjust the valleys timing & depth. 11. No pro shop or press required; the bow can be fully disassembled with 3 allen wrenches in 5min.
if hunting follow steps 1-8 to a T & the bow will be quieter than anything offered. Failure to put in the effort will result in a louder than normal bow.
Thank you for this
Excellent video
Dem lever limb bows 🤪🤩
Can you same video with 20 to 40 pound bow with hunting setup speed
What lbs was when you test the speed of arrows?
You can shoot a springy and a NAP flipper rest for hunting
Excellent review, huge Oneida fan. Please do a Phoenix review.
It’s in the plans
When a model is sold out (bottomland medium draw) how long until back in stock?
We have 5 more on order. Not sure when they will show up but if you want give us a call and we can put you down for one when it shows up.
We actually have some in stock, they just showed up!
@@MikesArchery my wife surprised me with a graphite black Oneida from your shop - do you have a video on setup/adjustments, etc?
@@toddnmichelle Like how to adjust draw length, straighten string if limbs aren't perfectly centered, etc.
I really wish they’d offer the Osprey without the terrible colors - thank God you got the custom colors without the Walmart style fish bones. It looks SO cheap.
The Bowtech carbon Zion is 3.3 pounds weight. Diamond edge 320 is 3.2 pounds. There are probably other lighter bows but they are the two that I can remember. The Oneida is not the lightest bow on the market. Yes it's light! Just not the lightest as stated in this video.
I was under the impression that the osprey would blow up shooting a hunting arrow. Guess not
He said 50
Bow weight?thank you 50lbs.
Remember guys it’s a recurve…. It’s not going over 200fps.
It’s actually a lever limb, has cams unlike a recurve. But does have a recurve style outboard limb.
Compound not a recurve.
This is the one of the most ignorant comments I could have possibly imagined out of a screen-name with the word "outdoors" in it
