Yes, that true Oneida Eagles 80's & early 1990's there fast but they are loud like a bass guitar string.. there are different ways too Quiet them though.
Go big!!!!!! No matter your pull weight the complete pass through is the objective. Period!!200 to 300 grain single bevel broadheads are the old non secret secret!
The BEST fingers rest EVER MADE was the now discontinued NAP PlungerRest. Can only find them occasionally now. People horde them.
I like 'em back in the 80's I had a Screaming eagle, it was a robinhooding sob out to 30yds...you get perfect nock travel like a recurve, you get a shoot through rest, you get a bow that will shoot good for 50 to 80 years maybe longer, set up right you can shoot with the best of them... spots- 3d, hunting, they hold their value better than any out there. 80's wheeled compound $30. 90's compound $40 2000's compound $100, 2010 coumpound $150, 1980's screaming eagle $300. Case closed.
I use a whisker biscuit works awesome.
By increasing the foc, especially shooting with fingers, you'll greatly increase the recovery from even the smallest flaw of a bad release. I personally would prefer a light arrow with a extremely heavy foc. No less than 250 grains up front, preferably 300.
Have a great hunting season
The timberdoodle and whiskerbiscuit have both worked well for me on my Black Eagle esc. I actually rigged up a qad drop away rest on it recently and I like it too ... just looks a lil funny with the actuator string just kinda loosely hanging lol. If I had to pick 1 though it would be the timberdoodle
I had mine set up at Buckpole archery In Marion, Michigan, who btw, were the previous owners/manufacturer of the Oneida line before Bass Pro/Cabelas. That was the only bow they sold. They use their designed red dot scope, James Greene Gator Jaw release head mounted to a Scott finger grip handle and Bodoodle rest.

I have a timber doodle love it phoenix is a great bow.
Any questions you need to ask the one, the only Mr Tim Wells! Mike in sunny Florida
How do you ask him?
I know this is late but contact Boondock outdoors, try their Off the Shelf rest. You will not be disappointed!
this thing is just the next best thing to a traditional bow in terms of stability i definitely get one some day. im sad seeing these rollercams blowing up.
Thanks for the video, would you mind if you upload more videos. I really want to get one. BTw Id say a pair of cat whisker silencers will decrease both vibration if string and sound. Thank you
Looking good my friend
Thx bud
That's a nice rig!
Thx
just got a RPM nitro , that onida looks cool
I started archery with an Oneida Screaming Eagle . Great bow ...lil to no let off 72lbs. I’m a traditional guy now ...Howard Hill Badger 70@28 . Oneida are cool but loud
THE Screaming Eagle was the first Oneida to have a 65% letoff cam option, (SE689) up until then, most Oneidas were roughly 35% letoff.
Nap center rest flipper Rest ll you’ll like it
hxl limb driven rest more speed using fmj arrows thinnest best speed and deep if not total pass thru's
Dont know what % letoff modules your using, but 65% work best for finger shooting on those bows. Cleaner release. Shot at clydes range in cc tx bout a year ago with my Oneida pro eagle, he thought it was the strangest looking bow lol
The Screaming Eagle was the first Oneida to have a 65% letoff cam option, (SE689) up until then, most Oneidas were roughly 35% letoff. That is my goto bow for fingers only, now.
Stick with that rest. Works the best with finger shooting. I use them on my oneidas.
X Factor Outdoors can you send a link for that rest
My draw length is 27.5 exactly. Should I get the short version or medium?? Going to buy one soon.
not sure... I have the same draw length but I love mine to be set at 26" so I can have a bend in my arm... no help i'm sure ! lol
Which is better for target/3D the Osprey or the Phoenix?
No clue. Anyone?
I've had my oneida phoenix for a while and finding arrows are so hard to find. What arrows, or grain do you recommend for this?
I’m shooting Easton axis 400s
@@30mofishing Nice thanks your video was really helpful looking forward to seeing my content
I use two kinds FMJ bare shaft at 17 yards fly like darts and I use xx78 Aluminum 400/2117’s
What poundage was the bow set at?
50ish
You can't go wrong with a wisker biscuit. Did you guys ever end up hunting public land in Pensacola with your kayaks?
Yes. Tough hunt
What version is your bow. Small or medium?
Medium
30milesOut If you use a 26 draw then couldn’t you have just got the small version? I’m sure the resell value is better for the medium though. I ordered the small because I just want something lighter for target practice. Won’t need to draw past 27.5 anyway. Hopefully I made the right choice otherwise I’ll have to pay the 5% restocking fee and get the medium. I’m getting the bow because of Arrow season 2 😂😆
@@Kevin-hn6ox I was a recurve shooter for years, 60 to be exact, then I had two strokes, I bought an Oneida Phoenix and I been able to continue to shoot and hunt with my son’s
You like this better than other bows ?
It’s nice. I have many different style bows. All serve different purpose
Bow fishing video’s? I think you only have to add a few items to the bow
Have a couple vids. Look for my talipa vid
Boodoll
Check out he Burris Oracle range finding bow site.
It's loud
Really strange to see bare fingers on a compound bow ... .
Fingers is all I've ever usde. They are always there.
Timber doodle sounds like boyscouts stuff! Yuck!
