Have you heard people talk about - Peyadison Peerless Prestige - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a good exclusive product for discovering how to make candles for fun or money without the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my colleague got cool success with it.
Appreciate video content! Sorry for butting in, I would love your thoughts. Have you tried - Honulian Wiffy Remover (just google it)? It is a great one of a kind product for making money as a candle maker minus the normal expense. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my old buddy Taylor finally got astronomical success with it.
Yes! I've used nail clippers to trim wicks before. You could also try jewelry end snips - similar cutting action to nail clippers, but with longer, easier to grip handles. 😀
I actually learned on my own to use a spoon (plastic or metal) to dip in the wax & pour some on the burning wick to put out the flame. It helps to not get black soot in the candle wax by pushing the wick in the wax & agitating the soot on the wick😉
I'm a guy and I started finally using a candle a friend of mine got me a couple of years ago as a house warming gift, he called it a "Mandle"😂. I loved watching it burn and researching the science behind candles and smelling the scent all around my house, I ordered a ton more candles and they're Disney theme park scented candles. I'm super glad I stumbled upon This video cause it's helped me a lot. Thank you!
When Charlotte melted her wax to pour into a new candle...I do that but with silicone candy molds- and pop them in my scentsy warmer...she cute shapes make great gifts as well!
I spend a shameless amount of time watching videos of alll sorts on UA-cam and I must say I found you to be so pleasant and genuine to watch. Morning sounded fake or forced which is so tiring. I also love candles and there wasn’t anything you mentioned I don’t already apply in my own candle practice but I still watched till the end. Thank you 😊
I love my candles too, and this was an amazing video to come by! I used to really get upset because I loved lighting candles every evening in my room, or on my desk when I am working, so I would run out of candles very fast. I learned the trick to keep my candles in the refrigerator when not in use, or like an hour or so before use, that way the wax melts slowly, and it burn longer and you can enjoy the sweet scents for a longer period of time. I used this trick and was amazed that a jar that would generally be consumed in a week, took three weeks when I put it in the refrigerator and used it.
The amount of tips and tricks you gave are amazing. When i saw the video being 27 minutes I’m like damn how much could you possibly talk about candles for that long but I ended up sitting through everything and these tips are absolutely worth it. Thanks so much for this 🙏❤️Hope you keep enjoying your precious candles 🕯️
As a candle maker, I approve this video :) Well done, all super great informative info! I’ll be linking this in my posts and directing people here who ask me how to care for and burn my candles :)
I didn't even think about using a hair dryer to take off the wax! Duhhhh lol. I have a ugly splatter on my mirror from a plug in wax warmer. Now I can clean it off in the morning. And showing the idea to use the last of the wax in a warmer is a great idea! Can't wait to use these ideas 🤗
Fascinating tips! Thank you. I've recently started lighting a candle on the stove (like you) after the kitchen is clean. So soothing and cosy and feels like a little reward.
I’m a candle addict and thought I knew a good bit of candle tricks but I learned so much! I’m so excited to try to bring one of my favorite Yankee candles back to life tomorrow. Thank you so much for sharing!! ❤️ 🕯
Heyy !!! As you are candle addict… can you clear my doubts … its summer season in my country and i want to light a scented candle…. can i light a candle in my AC room with window open … bcz i don’t feel to feel warm
I was TODAY years old when I learned a lot of these. Thanks for the info. I just poured my wax to a new candle ☺️. That saved me from having to melt it later and figure out where my wax melt mold is.
so i had this candle that just would not burn evenly and i tried the tinfoil trick and it totally worked! i also tried putting out a candle by drowning the wick in the wax and it works so well! hardly any smoke and it was quick and easy! thanks for the tips!! 😊
I needed this omg, thank you!!! My candles were burning unevenly and I wondered why now I know and I used your tin foil trick to correct them. Thanks a million.
I’ve always loved candles and have burned them for years. I’ve never know so much information about candles. I found this video right on time as I just came home with 9 new candles from the B& BW sale. Thanks for sharing the useful tips!
I never comment on videos, but needed to for this one. That aluminum foil trick is AMAZING! I just salvaged a brand new candle that burned horrible the second time I lit it. Thanks for sharing that trick!!!
This video was incredibly thorough, informative, and enjoyable to watch. Thank you for all the tips! First you got me with the shower routine and now I can feel the candle obsession starting up. 🤦🏽♀️
Great Ideas‼️💖‼️💖 I have another tip... I just spilled wax on my daughters carpet and was amazed when she told me that by just putting a paper towel over the wax and then hold a hot iron over it , It magically disappears🤗🥰🤗
This was fantastic!!! I always end up with the extra ring of wax on the sides. It's so frustrating and makes me sad to waste it! The foil idea is genius!! Also never knew the trim the wick thing or the proper way to extinguish them. My candle game just got set on fire 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hope you are having a great week!!!
That was such an informative video all about candles. I learned why candles make soot on the jars, how to fix unevenly burned candles, soak up excess wax and use that, how to use the helpful tools and avoid extra smoke that ruins the pretty scent in the room. ALL GOOD STUFF! Thank you! I do freeze my used candles then pop out the last bit of wax from all, and then melt down the blended mix either with a new long wick (from hobby store). Or I just use the mug/candle warmer to enjoy for a few more hours of fragrance in my laundry area. Smells great every time! Thanks again. Be safe everyone!
This is an amazing video. I didn’t think I would learn anything new, but I did. You have a calm and peaceful demeanor that’s very pleasant and engaging. Thank you for sharing.🙂
you just saved me......i was quite panicking since my candle wouldn't put out after i blew it...it built up soot instead...so i was about to pour water on it but apparently it could burn down your house and i got more panicked trying to find another way to put it out AND i found your video😭🙏 i took my tweezers and wowww it was that easy:"")
Fantastic video. So need. I’ve been buying a lot of candles and concentrated room sprays for my home. I would like to get as much use out of them . Thank you so much for sharing your tips and tricks for candles. ❤👏🏾🙏🏾
I never knew what that third piece was in my candle care set. Thank you for sharing a better way to extinguish the candle and still retain the beautiful scent. This was a great video! Thanks again.
Thank God I found this! My candle just arrived today and I literally have no care idea about it. This is my first time to use a scented candle. I hope it'll turn out great for me. Thanks for sharing 🥰🥰🥰
I didn't realize candle tunneling was a thing and Im definitely guilty of it but since learning about it I've rushed to correct the issue. I placed my candles on a candle warmer and yes the wax overflowed my wick but I fixed it with your cotton absorption method. Thanks for the tips!
This was GREAT! I always use candle warming lamps and ceramic warmers because of all the candle problems you just addressed. I’m still gonna use my warmers BUT now I’m going to burn some as well. We all know how expensive candle addiction is 🤣 so getting the most out of them is awesome THANK YOU. PS as far as getting that last bit of candle out I just saw someone pour boiling water into the jar up about half way and slowly the ENTIRE piece of wax rose to the top in one unbroken piece. Let it cool and you can remove all the wax in one chunk in one swift move. Pretty cool. Edited to add: I forwarded this video to my daughter and our friends - hard to believe NONE of us knew any of this
Yesterday I got a autumn scented candle ( Autumn is my favorite season because of the colors, cool breeze and Thanksgiving) I also always wanted to get a,candle but had no idea where to place it or afraid it might burn the house down but yesterday I just went for it. I love the scent and can't wait to start burning it and this video helped me so much. Thank you for these tips. Also happy autumn season 🍁🍂
One of the best candle care videos I’ve seen. Just a couple things to add if I may. When 1st lighting and after every extinguish, if you bend the wicks towards the outside of the glass, it’ll help burn the whole surface to keep from having the tunnel effect. Also, when reusing containers, I’ll put it in a saucepan w/ water and heat it to melting point but not boiling. Plz continue making such great vids. ❤
also i have a question, the next time that you burn the candle, after the very first time, even then do you have to let the candle burn until the very end of the jar?
Wow thank you SO MUCH! I have so many candles that are down to the last bit that I never burn because I don’t want to throw them away. This completely gives the candles new life and me so much less stress for burning them :) thank you!! Love this video!!
I’m sure you’ve done this before but instead of digging out the metal base at the bottom with a spoon, I just put the candle in almost boiling water (like you did to remove the remnants) and once the wax at the bottom melts a little, you can take it out flip it over onto a paper plate and then cut out the metal bases of the wax. The wax can be saved for later use and the remaining wax in the jar is liquefied and can be wiped with a paper towel. This will save you the step of spooning out the wax. 😉👍🏼
🤔🧐 Candles have a memory? 😮 I am now going to remember forever where I learned that. Thank you. Most of my candles are normal but I have some boujee wooden wick candles from Bed Bath n Beyond too that doesn’t allow for some of this but will try. Thanks for sharing! (...Heads to amazon to buy candle tools)
Wow! I learnt so many useful tips in here, many that I didn’t even know I needed! But I think these will all come really handy as I’ve gotten so many issues with my candles in the past😅 thanks😊
Hey Charlotte! I bought my first scented candle yesterday and was looking for tips to get rid of the smoke while putting off the candle. Landing on this video, I learnt a lot. Very informative one. Thank you.
I’m so excited to start using my candles again. I wasn’t lighting them for months, really only the ones that are downstairs when people come over for a holiday, not the ones I keep in my room. Since I’m content with the # of brushes that I have, I’ll see if I’ll hold extra lip glosses or something😁
This is so creative and detailed, as always...I love it! I really appreciate the thought that goes into your videos :) I got the berry waffle cone scent for my car because of your last candle video and OMG it smells so good...
Picked up some new tips. Thanks! One note on microwaving: be VERY careful. I cracked my favorite bluebonnet candle cup that way, and I only microwaved it for about 10 seconds. 😢 In future, I'll only mw for about 3 seconds at a time.
Great tips! I had NO idea there were so many different things that can effect a candle! Trying the foil tent now and I immediately am seeing it do it's magic!! Thank you so much!!!
Love the tips. You think of everything doll! Rubbing alcohol is good for removing stickers, or anything sticky. I’ve thrown a lot of candles jars away with still a lot of candle. I do have two warms so when there no longer burning I’ll cut them on there. Your amazing!
I was just about to comment, rubbing alcohol gets rid of the sticky off everything! I use alcohol pads to get sticky off everything. Also, WD-40 BUT, it smells bad and you have to wash it in soapy water after using it but it works a little bit better than alcohol.
I feel like even though the one wick and three wick quote the same burn time, it's not necessarily a better deal to get a one wick if you're planning on putting it in a larger space. Bigger wax pool = bigger scent! :) Also, I'm obsessed with the Blueberry Pie! 💯 Choice 👌👌👌
Love the tip with the olive oil taking the sticky residue off the jar. ♥️ the whole vid, you are full of useful knowledge. Your know knowledge is power..
I absolutely loved this video! ❤️ Very detailed and informative. I am kind of new to the candle world and this has helped me to be more careful with my candles. Thank you! 😁
These are some great tips. Definitely going to utilize them. But omg, the olive oil to get residue off. It's a better and natural way to use it instead of Goof Off or Goo Gone or any other chemical product. Thank you, Charlotte!
Thanks, I learned so much! Three tips I can share: rubbing alcohol will clean up the smoke on the top of the inside and also remove any stickiness/sticker residue left on the jar. Third, offer up used candle jars to neighbors by posting on a community page. I have no linen closet in my new home and a very naughty cat I don’t trust with glass jars. A neighbor happily took about a half dozen three-wick used jars for projects, saved glass from recycle bin and gave them new life!
Charlotte I have to say that I just found your UA-cam channel less than a week ago and I’m already in love with the aesthetic of your channel. Your style and sweetness and calmness is so much like my own. I have also started looking into nutrition as well considering I am getting married in a year and want to be the healthiest I can be for my marriage. I will definitely be watching every video that you upload
This video is great and explains a lot about the memory or candles. I had no idea about that. No wonder my big candles burn funny sometimes ! Thank you for the Info! ❤️
OMG, I just discovered your channel, and I want to say thank you because I have like 4 empty B&BW jars in the top of my closet that I had no idea what to do with!! 3 of them are Rose Water & Ivy and I'm going to melt the wax and add it to the other 3 I have!!! I love your channel so far and thank you for this, now I've got more space in the top of my closet, and an excuse to buy more candles!!!
I am new to burning my candle and oh my, this video really helps me with all the tips. Like Wick trimed too short or burned unevenly or what to do when it finishes! Thanks a lot for making this!
WOW! I can’t believe how great your tips were. I was such a candle dope before I watched your tips, but no longer...I received 5 3 wick B&BW candles for Christmas and already ruined 1 of them, but I have a new outlook for the last 4...Many Thanks
Great video. Like the smoke free method of extinguishing the candle wick. I have a drawer full of old fashioned metal nut picks. For those NOT older than 40 yrs old, they were a staple around the Fall/Winter holiday times in the bowl of nuts with their shell still intact. The nut cracker opened the shell, then the meat of the nut was loosened free by the pick. That slightly curved tip of the pick could be used to dip and retrieve the wick from the wax. Because the pick is metal it may conduct heat easily from the flame. So be careful. I coated the opposite end in a silicone caulking product to coat the end that is held. That kept the pick from rotating in my hand when picking out the nuts. I imagine that would keep the heat from being felt on the end held by the fingers when extinguishing several candle wicks at one time. It's an alternative until I can find a perfectly cute wick dipper device. 😉🕯
Loved this video, it was very very helpful. Thank you I am now using one of my beautiful candle jars for my hair clips. Plus I learned so much more. I also love candle warmers so when I cleaned out my jar I used the left over wax on my warmer so I can get more use of my favorite candle scent. 😊
Who KNEW there was so much to know or learn about candles? Officially shook! This was the video I didn’t know I wanted, but totally needed!

You can also use nail clippers to trim wicks in a pinch! 😊 Love all these tips!
Love that idea!
omg that's actually an amazing idea! tyyy 💜
Yes! I've used nail clippers to trim wicks before. You could also try jewelry end snips - similar cutting action to nail clippers, but with longer, easier to grip handles. 😀

that is so smart! I‘m definitely stealing your idea thx for sharing :)
Never thought About using a spoon. I just have a Ziploc baggie full of Q-tips that I use for the same purpose
Yeah seriously thank you!!
I don’t recommend using plastic spoons cuz the wax is hot so the plastic will melt and that’s not good
I'm a guy and I started finally using a candle a friend of mine got me a couple of years ago as a house warming gift, he called it a "Mandle"😂. So my misbehaving candles just needed a TIN FOIL hug 🤗 ~thx Charlotte
EXACTLY!!! ;)
Same!!
That's an adorable way of putting it.
I actually tried it but it didn’t fix my candle. Any advice? What am I doing wrong?
I spend a shameless amount of time watching videos of alll sorts on UA-cam and I must say I found you to be so pleasant and genuine to watch. Morning sounded fake or forced which is so tiring. I came here looking for a simple candle problem and found myself enlightened with so many amazing tips and ideas. I feel like an expert now!

Picked up some new tips. Thanks! One note on microwaving: be VERY careful. I cracked my favorite bluebonnet candle cup that way, and I only microwaved it for about 10 seconds. 😢 In future, I'll only mw for about 3 seconds at a time.
Hi, awesome tips, thanks. Its good to know why certain candles perform a certain way. Thanks & be blessed! 😊💞
YOU are amazing!! xoxoxo
I was just about to comment, rubbing alcohol gets rid of the sticky off everything! I use alcohol pads to get sticky off everything. Also, WD-40 BUT, it smells bad and you have to wash it in soapy water after using it but it works a little bit better than alcohol.
A reply to my question in the comments would be so greatly appreciated! Also thank you for helping me save my extremely expensive candle 💖❣️🥳🕯
UA-cam recommended this video to me. I had no to low expectations. But all these tips are GREAT.
9:55 is a game changer 🕯i just levelled up my candle using skills 😊
I didn't know when I clicked that I would learn so much!! What an excellent video! Thank you!!
Thank you for damaging your candles for us with those tiny burns ❤️. I could also smell every stage of this video 😁😁xxx
I absolutely loved this video! ❤️ Very detailed and informative. I am kind of new to the candle world and this has helped me to be more careful with my candles. Thank you! 😁
Enjoyed this video so much! Loved the detail❤
I learned so much more than I thought I would. Awesome video!
Omg this is all I ever needed for candle info. 🕯
Great tips!! And even more super information referring to candles than I ever could have brainstormed myself. Wonderful video!!! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much! I was using the foil method to save my candle. It worked just fine and didn't take forever to burn.
This is great ideas iwill use these methods from now on . Thanks for the tips
I am new to burning my candle and oh my, this video really helps me with all the tips. Like Wick trimed too short or burned unevenly or what to do when it finishes! Thanks a lot for making this!
You really love beautiful smells,i can see how you have different candles and even electric diffuser..beautiful
🤩 wow! You covered everything, girl 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. You’ve earned yourself a new subscriber 😘😘😘😘😘
Omg this video was so helpful!!! Thank you so much ❤
Loved this video, it was very very helpful. Thank you
I am now using one of my beautiful candle jars for my hair clips. Plus I learned so much more.
I also love candle warmers so when I cleaned out my jar I used the left over wax on my warmer so I can get more use of my favorite candle scent. 😊
