So glad to hear someone actually be honest about how much work goes into making candles.
I also make candles, and it annoys me how so many ppl think it's simply melting wax n adding scent...
    SO FAR FROM REALITY.. lol.
And wicks can be fickle no matter what kind they are.
I love your videos. Always enjoyable 😘
I also give my customers a % discount for any candle containers they return.
It reduces my cost of jar purchases and keeps them out of landfills as well❤

I wish more, larger companies would offer a "take back" program like you do with the candle jars..I think it would cut down on so much waste in landfills.

Hi Ariane ... I love watching your videos! I was hoping you could elaborate why you use 2 wicks and why you used 2 different types. I want to try wood wicks ,but I have had a few fails with similar ones ( true flame wicks ... a circular woodwick you put a reg wick in the middle of) - and the cost of buying MORE wicks when I have a zillion . The true flame have a good reputation in Australia , but i think i just wicked the centre wrong and cut it the wrong height too! LOL Anyway .... i am loving yours :) We have some great new wax here that is so different to what has been around. It's by All Seasons Wax Company (ASW) - if you can get your hands on some , give it a go. It is available also in the UK at London Luxury Candle Supplies and Luxury Candle Supplies here in Aus. x thankyou for you fabulous videos!

    • @denisehaley9271

Because the double wooden wick burns better, more consistently.
This is how I wick my candles when using wood, but your wax and scents account for how your wicks burn as well.
But, you've gotta experiment on your own because your climate, altitude, humidity, all effects how your wicks load the scents & burn.

You mentioned the wooden wick patent. Did you have to get licensed to be able to use it? Thank you

KukacS well you have to sign an agreement and display their patent on your labels/packaging in order to make & sell products using them. No big deal 😊

Hi, why you use two different wood wicks together? What are they? Any benefit?

Do you have any idea what kind of cutting/pliers you are using to cut wooden wicks?

These look so good. I love scented candles. Personally I would switch out the wooden wicks to for regular ones. The crackling bothers me for some reason. I keep thinking in the back of my mind something is wrong and is going to catch on fire. It stresses me. 😂 How do you test out different waxes? Do you make various candles with different fragrances or I don’t know. What do you look and test for? Hope your beautiful family is well. The baby must be a big boy now. Thank you.

Hi Ariane, I see a lot of members in the candle making groups talk about how essential oils are toxic in candles, can you possibly clear this up for me? Since you're an experienced maker and using them :)
    Thank you

I know you didn’t ask me but if it helps you to know a professional at a supplier told me to never use essential oil and if you do a very small percentage (1-3%) and just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it’s good for you, more expensive than fragrance oil and just bad in general, it’s best to avoid! :)
