So glad to hear someone actually be honest about how much work goes into making candles. I also make candles, and it annoys me how so many ppl think it's simply melting wax n adding scent... SO FAR FROM REALITY.. lol. And wicks can be fickle no matter what kind they are. I love your videos. Always enjoyable 😘 I also give my customers a % discount for any candle containers they return. It reduces my cost of jar purchases and keeps them out of landfills as well❤

I wish more, larger companies would offer a "take back" program like you do with the candle jars..I think it would cut down on so much waste in landfills.
Chronic Butterfly yes! Or use containers that can be repurposed. Many of my customers keep their empty candle jars because they are perfect to store objects in them: jewelry, elastics, trombones, pencils, nails, etc!

I have been wanting to make candles for a while now. I started realizing upon my research that it’s a lot more work and testing than I thought 😅 I felt so overwhelmed and I think it will be a while before I actually try it out.
Candle making seems to be a lot of experimentation and patience but I find it very fun and therapeutic so far. I am also still realivly new to this and so I can get impatient sometime and pour too early.

I just recently started venturing into wood wick for my soy candles. My daughter loves the sound. However I didn't know to buy the booster wood wick. That will be my next purchase.
Merci pour la vidéo!! J’ai reculé quand j’ai entendu votre accent tellement j’étais surprise! C’est toujours plaisant de retrouver des québécois.e.s en faisant mes recherches youtube!! 🦋🌞🌸

My daughter is about to start her candle business, and I would like to know what type of pliers were used to cut the wooden wicks. Please and thank you! ;)
I'm a newbie and have many questions LOL - of course! 1. Why did you use 2 wicks in each candle? 2. Why did you pour the wax over the wicks? Is that important to do? 3. What temperature was your heat gun set to? Sorry, so many questions!!
Hi Ariane ... I love watching your videos! I was hoping you could elaborate why you use 2 wicks and why you used 2 different types. I want to try wood wicks ,but I have had a few fails with similar ones ( true flame wicks ... a circular woodwick you put a reg wick in the middle of) - and the cost of buying MORE wicks when I have a zillion . The true flame have a good reputation in Australia , but i think i just wicked the centre wrong and cut it the wrong height too! LOL Anyway .... i am loving yours :) We have some great new wax here that is so different to what has been around. It's by All Seasons Wax Company (ASW) - if you can get your hands on some , give it a go. It is available also in the UK at London Luxury Candle Supplies and Luxury Candle Supplies here in Aus. x thankyou for you fabulous videos!

These look so good. I love scented candles. Personally I would switch out the wooden wicks to for regular ones. The crackling bothers me for some reason. I keep thinking in the back of my mind something is wrong and is going to catch on fire. It stresses me. 😂 How do you test out different waxes? Do you make various candles with different fragrances or I don’t know. What do you look and test for? Hope your beautiful family is well. The baby must be a big boy now. Thank you.

Yes, candle making is no joke 😂 There’s a lot involved in making candles.

I like that you put your candle jars on the scale to ensure they're the same weight. I'll keep that in mind for future reference
I noticed that as well.
very nice.

How much essential oil do you put it pl. I love the idea of using EO but can’t find any guidance regarding measurements

Comforting to see that even a professional must use heat gun for their candles. Great job!👍

It depends on the wax and fragrances you choose, so you will have to test that for yourself based on the manufacturers advice.

I’ve heard that if the size of your wick is too small for your jar, it might not lit
might be too much fragrance/essential oils. no more than 6-8% fragrance when using soy wax

Louis Cissé because it is possible and I love how combining two wicks works for me!
Because the double wooden wick burns better, more consistently.

But, you've gotta experiment on your own because your climate, altitude, humidity, all effects how your wicks load the scents & burn.
You mentioned the wooden wick patent. Did you have to get licensed to be able to use it? Thank you

Beautifully done and very informative. 👌🏾
