- Hello EarthQuakers! President and Product Designer Jamie Stillman is back with another video manual, this time for the Disaster Transport Modulated Delay Machine, the newest addition to our Legacy Reissue Series!
The original Disaster Transport was one of the earliest delay offerings from a boutique manufacturer. Introduced in 2007, the Disaster Transport expanded into a series with the launch of an updated Disaster Transport and the Disaster Transport JR in 2010 and the Disaster Transport SR in 2013.
Jamie shares that the KMD Analog Delay was his favorite delay pedal at the time he was designing the original Disaster Transport and how it was used as inspiration when creating this pedal. However, adding modulation was one key feature that was important for him to include in the design to make it a bit more interesting.
For this reissue, Jamie has redesigned the delay line to reduce the noise floor and improve the quality of the delay. He boosted the output with a cleaner mixing section; it’s now filtered to sound more like an analog delay than any of the previous versions. It sits perfectly in the background with an evolved ambiance, but can also be dialed in for the dramatic effect of your choosing.
The analog-voiced digital delay has also been upgraded with a switch to “bend” or “stretch” the modulation waveform and a third rate range has been added to control the speed of the modulation. The Disaster Transport also retains a designated footswitch to turn on and off the modulation.
We hope you enjoy this updated take on the OG EQD delay!

I'm picking mine up tomorrow. I couldn't be more excited.
Yeahhh buddy! Enjoy your new delay!
awesome pedal graphics, as per usual
🤝
Cool. Love the Disaster Transport so much I have two. Please bring out your new delay already! :)
No, I'm not just seeing this, my reaction was just delayed. Killer demo of an awesome reissue 🤘
Rock on !
That guitar sounds good and looks cool
Excellent. Cheers EQD
Many thanks!
Killer riff at 1:48. Just learned it, very fun!
Nice!
My favourite delay for years was the Disaster Transport Jnr. For years i ran two delays - the DT jnr and a cheap but totally decent NUX Time Force.
Tbh i haven't improved much on my delay tones with 12 years of fancier delays (Nemesis, Flashback 2, Strymon El Capistan etc).
I do love my clean, subtly modulated tape delays and this doesn't really do this, but for a good analog-voiced delay with mod, this may be all i need. Thanks EQD! I may have to add this to my Depths & Transmisser for an EQD Trinity!
I can get one used
Of course! Have fun !!
Can't wait for mine to come in the mail, hyped for the 31st lol
🫶
That is cool AF!!!!
Thanks for watchin!
I saw Jamie demo this pedal at the launch party and it was incredible
Thanks for coming out!
@@EarthQuakerDevices you're welcome
Damn thats a big transmisser. Ok, so i got the avalanche run and the space spiral (and a thermae and teisco delay). Is there an articulable reason i can justify getting this pedal?
It’s an eqd pedal
Was the name of the pedal inspired by the now defunct ride at Cedar Point? I know the company is based in that general area if im not mistaken. Anyways, dope pedal!
You are correct on both accounts! We are stationed in Akron, Ohio.
@@EarthQuakerDevices lol loved the ride and the name. The building the ride was housed in was always a welcomed retreat from those hot summer days at the park. Great childhood memories. Awesome pedal! I'm going to have to pick one up, for the sounds and the nostalgia. 😁
Someone do a side by side with the space spiral plz ha. And yes eventually I'll probably have both.
Friends by Pascal Lebouton, uh?!
