Great video. I have a Bridgestone Battlewings on my NC750x but I'm not quite satisfied, especially on wet tarmac. And I have only 3.300 km on my bike. So I considered TKC 70, but after this video I'll have to take a Pirelli also in focus. Thanks. Greetings from Croatia!
Hello Davor, thanks for the comment. I was quite sceptical at the beginning with this Pirelli, but km by km I appreciate them mostly because of the confidence that they provide. I bought them also because of the general good mileage they are offering (10K at least).
Good review...thank you on my integra nc750d that came with stock tires of Bridgestone Battalx which lasted until 20000 km then i changed them with Pirelli MT60 rs exactly just like yours , to tell the truth after i installed them i could not believe how much light they were and i was amazed how mich the bike became more numble than before , more control , more grip , easy manuevering and more confidence. was worth the money and will purchase again. peace.
Thanks for the comment, glad that you think the same, I Cound not found a better option, I am still looking forward for a more nobby tyre with 160/60 and 120/70...Until then I'll stick with the MT60 RS. Greetings!
Hello Alex, at the moment, at least for me, are my only option. Hopefully, the manufacturers are planning for our bikes something more off-road orientated tyres, or at least a real competitor for this Pirelli MT60 RS. Greetings! 👍
Best review I have watched for adventure tires. I want to replace my nc750 oem tires with either Pirelli or Continental TKC 70, as I feel that oem doesn't give me too much confidence on colder weather or when it is wet.
I bought my Ducati scrambler with 6 year old Pirelli MT60s and they were pretty much spent after 7000 kms. The front was heavily scollaped and the bike just handled too vaguely on tarmac to be safe. I hated them and recently bought a set of Angel GTs because most of my riding is on highways and major roads. I'm certain they'll be able to handle the occasional off-road venture so long as it's not too challenging. By all accounts these are great tyres and apparently have superb grip on dry and wet roads as well as being designed to last many more kilometres than the MT60s.
Thanks for sharing. In my case they were very addictive, I've had 3 sets of them. However I was riding 90% on road, not so aggressively, mostly easy rides, not pushing it too much, that's why perhaps they've lasted more I guess... Greetings
@@IdealBike The MT60s over here in Australia are pricey ($600+ a set) so that affected my choice, hence I’ve not tried them new. I read somewhere that the compound in the MT60s is the same as other performance Pirellis (Diabollos ?). I’m not super aggressive on the road but my last camping trip was about 500km (300 miles) and the rear MT60 especially wore dramatically. The handling was vague and I pushed a little in some twisties with the front washing out causing me to drift over the centre line under power. Maybe the extra weight behind me had something to do with it. Anyway, my previous Ducati was a 748 and that’s my benchmark for handling. I used to race so love a smooth entry, line and exit. I’m keen to see how these Angel GTs carve, but if they don’t reach my level of thrill I’m happy to adapt. With the Scrambler Icon there are only a few tyre options because of the 18 inch front wheel. A wider 17 inch front would be interesting. Cheers.
Very well done video, many thanks! I'm also considering a dual sport tyre for my nc750x and had a shortlist of a few options. I'll add this tyre to my list. My 1st option so far has been pirelli scorpion rally str. I'm now curious to see how this one compares to that one.
Great review! I was wondering between the MT60 RS and the new TKC70 rocks. Have you considered a change to TKC70 rocks? Congratulations on the channel and content I loved the podcast with Geoalex
I have used those tires on my previous bike : 2017 CB500X. I have loved so much the Pirelli MT60RS: great on wet or dry twisty asphalted roads; they are so sticky 👍🏼. And they are also very, very, good for gravel roads & dry forest roads. Now, i own a Tiger 900 GT with a 19 inches front wheel, but sadly the MT60RS is not available in my front tire size. So i decided to try the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR; another 60/40 tire.
@@IdealBike my Shinko 705 front and back brought mine down to 4.12 liters at 100Km. With the stock tyres I used to get what you are getting now! May have to try those Pirelli's next!
Hello thanks for great video and explanation. What's your opinion about this tyre about winter conditions? (asphalt, for going to work 10km) I'd like to put it my Dominar 400 and ride it but also in winter.
My winter experience was on - 5 Celsius with rain and it was acceptably fine! But the tyres were brand new, perfect grip. Starting from 8000-10000 km they began to decrease in grip and the first sign it's the rear abs engagement when braking.
14000 KM? wow!. They last me only 4000 Miles (6400 KM) and the front is completely flat now. Ducati urban enduro. They are amazing tires amazing grip, they are fast and predictable. I am looking for an alternative since I am commuting 95% of the times

what is the tyre pressure in Psi..... ur using in the MT60 rear tyre????
I've used 2,7 bar rear and 2.25 front
40 Psi REAR and 32 Psi FRONT, that's what I've used myself. You can adjust it according to your load also.
