Went there for the first time recently. It's legit. Massive vertical. Interesting how you can feel the snow and weather change as you head down the mountain. Reminds me of Cannon in NH. Very similar in terrain and pitch.
The Iceface nickname is well earned. However, on the rare "good" days it's awesome. Hands down best scenery in the East for me. Its remoteness gives it a great vantage point on the high peaks, Vermont. The isolation give it little shelter from the wind which is why upper mountain cand get very cold and boilerplated. The bad days mainly affect up top. The lower mountain is decently protected. Been skiing there since the 70s and it is indeed a beast. March and Spring skiing in April are best times. On a sunny day with low wind and recent dumping of snow its fantastic.
Iceface. Ya, skied it in the '60's and then had two great days in the spring 16 years ago.. To often the wind would blow and the top lift closed. I remember one day, a Monday, in January it was so windy the the anemometer reading at the top lift house peaked at 62 mph as we came to the exit ramp and they has to stop the lift as we could not get off, ski down the ramp .. yup, the lift was closed 12 minutes later.
Video shots are too short - too many changes to next shot. Let the drone footage flow as if you were actually flying over the mountain yourself. Even linger a bit over interesting terrain.

Seems a little too big for an east coast mountain
Bruh what does that even mean
@@johncantatore7986 Typical arrogant West Coast skier (probably a snowboarder) with zero respect for skiing in the east
@@joelp5093 just because you're not good enough to snowboard doesn't mean you have to bash those who can ;)
Well, it's the biggest (tallest ⛰️) in the Northeastern US, so, #geographicalfacts 🤷
Whiteface and Sugarloaf are actually taller and bigger than many renowned areas in the Rockies.
