A very very useful video.Thank you so much.. your video is best and to the point listing down the places . Have shortlisted few for our upcoming visit.. !!!!!!
Well done, very watchable. I appreciate getting this kind of travel information without any annoying background music. The matter-of-fact approach is refreshing.
There are many places to walk in and see the Ausable chasm for free along the road. The "paid" place is nice, but not necessary. Fun fact, my father was in the front row of the famous hockey game in 1980 :) Great video.
@@callaway86 Thank you! Your father was treated to an epic hockey game and to see it from the front row must’ve been special. I appreciate the tip about the ‘free’ aspect of the chasm.
I was born in Lake Placid, NY. John Brown's farm is a place of interest for history buffs. It's where John Brown, the abolitionist from Harper's Ferry, WV fame planned to build a town for slaves that was to be named: '"Timbuktu". The Lake Placid Club built by Melvin Dewey, creator of the Dewey decimal system for libraries, may be a place of interest if it is still standing. There is also an equestrian center that has events near the village of Lake Placid.
I agree about John Browns farm and haven’t been there yet. I wanted to check it out during our visit and just didn’t have time. I appreciate you sharing these and other suggestions with the group. Thank you for your comment!
New subscriber here. Thanks for the video. I would love to visit Vermont while visiting Lake Placid or Lake George. Is it worth it? How long it takes on that ferry?
Awesome! Welcome aboard. Ultimately, it depends on how much time you may have. Vermont is worth it but might be better suited as a different trip unless you have like two or more weeks in the area. The ferry ride is quick 30 min and an inexpensive way to view beautiful Lake Champlain. I hope to put out a Vermont video this year. Be on the lookout for it. Whatever you decide, this area is packed with beauty. Happy travels!
Can’t believe you didn’t include/ go to The Adirondack Experience Museum (Blue Mountain Lake Museum). Such an amazing indoor and outdoor museum. Multiple buildings to walk through. Way more to do than the museum at Tupper Lake. Also the cliffside mountain coaster and the bobsled run right at the Olympic compound.
We live nearby in Vermont and did two weekend-long trips and one day-trip throughout the summer. We live nearby in Vermont. I hope this helps. Thank you for your comment. Let us know how long you stay! Enjoy!
Yes and no. It would give you a great view of the eclipse from a spectacular location (weather permitting) but I can't imagine how packed it will be. Lots of people coming to the area specifically for the eclipse might make driving off the mountain a time consuming endeavor. Is it worth it? That's for you to determine. Good luck! Enjoy the spectacle.
Excellent video - gave me great ideas for our upcoming visit this summer!
Thanks. Enjoy your trip!

What about Fort Ticonderoga? That is the best thing to take in when in The Adirondacks.
Do you have a camera on power lines following the power lines towards the river? 2:10
Yes. Not on the power lines themselves but pointed at that area. Why do you ask?
Love the suggestions, but wish the audio was better/clearer!
Working on it! Definitely trying to get better at making these videos and did pick up a microphone. Thank you for visiting!

Take a run down the Olympic ski jump.
I have much respect for the people that do after standing at the top of that thing looking down. It must be very exhilarating to get a good jump in!
If you are up for a bit of a ride, go to the Eisenhower locks on the ST. Lawrence! Awesome!!
Thank you for the suggestion. I’m always up for an adventure and will have to check that out.
hey is't cade
What's going on @Edacgames502? Thanks for visiting!
A simple walk without getting nickeled n dimed is so sad. Seems like Everywhere you go you need to pay.
Great more tourists driving 30mph in a 55. Atleast learn to drive before you come to the ADK.
