- Towards the end of my visit at the Giza Pyramids I had to Ride a horse, As I've been wanting to do so for a long time.
The man accepted to take me out to see all the pyramids for just $4.
He turned out to be the most honest and straight forward guy working at the whole place and didn't try to scam me.
In the end, I got to ride a horse and he got to take the day off and spend it with his family.

I went to the pyramids in April 2019, and I met Sayed! He is a genuine and honest guy, and it’s such a pleasure to see that he has remained the same.

Sayyed at the beginning asked for 100 pound but the deal came on 70, at the end he got about 400 pound. Sayyed was a good and honest guy, he deserves what he got 👌.

A good man with good morals. Not trying to fool unknowing tourists. Over the years he probably learned, when you do right by people, you get blessed more than what you hoped for.
Sayed seems like a genuine good guy, he absolutely deserved that 400.

Man, I just got back from Egypt like 3 days ago... Me and my wife were in the pyramids complex already exhausted of all the scammers trying to take money from us... We spent most part of the time there saying "no, thank you!". Then, Sayed came up to us, and I was like "Omg, another guy...". But then he was so nice and told us that he was just trying to do his job and up until that point (around 11am) he couldn't get anyone to ride his horses. But for 200EP he could give us a ride to go far enough so we could get a picture from the pyramids lined up. But if we decided not to go with him, that was fine, he said again he was just trying to work and "no monkey business", he was not trying to fool us.
So, we decided to go with him... Best decision ever. Lucy was still with him, but the two other horses were different ones. It was a really pleasant ride; he was nice and kind and after the tour, we tipped him a little more. It is not much for us, in Euros, but for him it could be something.
He mentioned that some guy filmed him, and we could find him on UA-cam. That's how I got here... God bless Sayed, he is just a guy trying to live his life working hard and honestly.

Just watched the video with the camels, where the guy was following you (the scammers) and now this one with horse ride... such different people.
I'd do the same thing. I preffer to tip the good people and in total pay more than the scammer would take from me.... but at least I chose who to give my money.

The other guys charge 20 euros for a 5 minutes camel ride, this man charged 5 euros for a whole 20 minutes experience, it’s crazy

@@thefamousl9043 i agree but the people are what gives a country its identity. both men are part of that identity. every country has a good and bad side, good and bad people, just like Mr. Sayed represents the good and the scammers represent the bad, you just have to find the good wherever you are but also acknowledge the bad.

Though it's true in tourist places theres always scammers and greedy salesmen, but outside of that generally speaking people are hospitable and honest, not all ofcourse.

He just played a different game. He didn’t try to nail him up front, he schmoozed him, created a relationship with him, offered him to stay at his home, etc. He didn’t scare him off with a high price up front. He got Kurt in the end for more money. Mission accomplished.
The horse riding part and Sayed story telling feels like an intro to a cool video game. He seems like a very good and honest man, kudos to Sayed.

Those horses look well kept and that is the best advertising. I did horse riding nearby pyramids in 2009 at the sunset, had tea at the campfire and it was amazing.

This is a good example for the Egyptian citizen and tour guide, and I hope to God that all fraudsters who leave a bad impression on us as Egyptians will be punished.
How much can you judge them? They don’t have it easy, Egypt is a very poor country. When I was there I got frauded aswell but at the same time.. they are very poor.

I don’t disagree, but in the us such business would be regulated. They’d have to take good care of the horses, pay taxes etc. From what I’ve seen, in Egypt the health of the camels and horses is questionable, and I highly doubt they pay taxes on earnings.

Where did you go for a horse ride in the US? Because I rode em once in Colorado and it cost me $60 and compared to the local income in the US that was a good price.....

I enjoyed this SO much. I owned horses for thirty years, and this man's horses looked well cared for. He showed you a good time and I'm glad you gave him extra money. He was able to take the rest of the day off, and I bet the horses appreciated getting to go back to their stable. Well done. Beautiful video.

I've watched many of your videos from Egypt and to be honest I was starting to loose faith in my dream of visiting Egypt. So so many scamers and I'm not a person who have traveled since 2008!... But Sayed restored my faith, if/when I travel to Egypt my eyes will be searching for this guy and his horses when I'm standing at the pyramids🙏🏼

I don't think anywhere in the world does a job only pay 20 euros a month. Maybe with corona that is all some people are getting though.
