i dailyd mine for 2 years .. 2008 C6. Mods: cam, intake, Circle D Triple Disk Converter. put 16k first year owning it but i did buy evo and i jump from that car to the evo now and then
17 and just got my 2011 coupe a couple months back, I just had a ls376/525 swap done on it and it’s terrifyingly fast now! I’ll post a video of the exhaust if anyone wants to check it out
I daily drive my Corvette, but I also don't do stupid modifications to the engine or any performance part on the car. I only make the car handle better and look better and it turns out if that's all you do to your car get a Corvette that go strong at 170,000 miles. Do I win drag race no do I win every uphill togue yes Anyways, if I need to go fast, I just pull out my fully built, automatic LS one with ported heads that car absolutely flys
I bought a 2010 with 19k miles so i could use it for my spring summer fall daily driver. It’s a grand sport so winter is out 12 7/8 in tires don’t work well in snow.
Just a suggestion from someone who has owned Corvettes since my first 1968 427 4-speed convertible purchased in 1969. One cannot maintain a high-performance daily, driven vehicle in year-round conditions and still have it at its peak for track/performance use; I could go into detail if you like? I drive a 2018 Fiesta ST, and when hauling/towing, I have a 2016 F-350 SuperDuty. PS There is a local base C-7 who could explain how well that little pocket rocket can perform when driven at the limit... 😉
What if you want to keep it stock and don't really plan on going to tracks that often. I'm 19 and am looking into buying one, just something that will get me around LA, to school and to work and back. What are your thoughts? Is it worth it? Thanks a lot
@@sabasiphrashvili2514 I understand the desire; however like I previously said, IMO, they are not practical daily commuters. First, they are more expensive to maintain. Second, left unattended, there seem to be people who like to damage your vehicle for fun; and left in a parking lot, the doors will be damaged, and people seem to think using your vehicle for a bump stop is OK. I never leave my Z06 on the street unless I have eyes on it; and it's parked far away from the other vehicles. Then there is the insurance; I purchased my first Corvette at 18 with my father's co-signature only to find out I was un-insurable, speaking of which in your location will be expensive. I would finish school, drive a more practical vehicle and begin saving for your dream car. The 2009 LS-3 C-6 automatic with low mileage can be found for under $30k and would be a good beginning with 400 H.P. The clutch cars are sometimes beat, and replacing the clutch is a nightmare as you need to drop the "trans/axle" torque tube and remove the exhaust to change the clutch. Good Luck I remember when all I could think about was getting my first Corvette. My wife of 40 years says I like my Corvette more than her... 😅
I’m almost 20 and a sophomore in college. I’m banking on scholarship leftovers to buy a c5 and if possible a c6, but pretty sure c5 is more affordable for me rn . So far I feel confident in getting a c5, although this would be my first car, I’m willing to be careful with the car. I don’t drive heavy and would just be to get around college town and going back home, etc. Ik I will have to be spend some more on fixing the car or etc yk. Do you have any tips on how I should approach getting the c5? So far I’m looking at FB marketplace or either an auction. Thoughts? Btw, great videos man!
Get the C5 pretty much the same car with less tech and a little more raw so you can feel everything 😅 make sure to get that stupid column lock bypass for the steering wheel
