That is a different take on the 3 way rig but the more I looked at it and thought about it the more I like that. I can see how having the float high up would help. I love the 3 way rigs in rivers. My favorite river rig no doubt. Good stuff and well made video.

Great share thanks for bringing back memories. I used to fish the exact area and I used to fish from the top of the railroad bridge or just below it because you would have to be careful fishing from the top because of the trains even though they moved slow you'd still have to get off the bridge. I caught my share of big fish out of the arkansas river and had a my picture in the wichita paper once when I was fishing off the lincoln street bridge before we moved to northeast kansas in 93 and i will definitely need to get back there before long. I believe the only thing that I'd change is the hook I like the circle hooks because they'll hook themselves. Thanks again for sharing this great video.

I used to fish that river when I lived in Wichita but my biggest one came from just below the bridge Next to the Broadway. But that was back in the 80's.
Humbly appreciate it dawg and it took me awhile to transition over to using bait casting reels but I like having the clicker option available whenever Im fishing at night or with live baits.

Come up to Minnesota sometime, I'll take ya out on the mighty Mississippi, hit some flathead. Love your setups, just went to check out the rods online, sold-out on everything.....tight lines buddy.👍

@@2345suga He just means, sometime when you hook your bait, the scales from the bait get stuck on the tip of the hook. Just make sure you clear the scales off of your hook tip or you might lose a fish dawg.

@@SlingNBaits I use them all the time for small mouth and largemouth. The smaller whites ones work well. Try some grampus if you can find them in the river. They are long skinny and have a mouth kinda like a beetle. They will bite you though so be careful.
Hey bud learned a trick from Richard gene the fishing machine he breaks the claws off and uses little rubber bands around their body and put the hook under the rubber band definitely worth checking out
